Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hale Ohana. The rooms were all spacious and the beds comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. We loved how close it was to the beach and everything else we wanted to explore in the South and West Shores. I would definitely book here again.

Family of 4 + Grandma for one week at Hale Ohana. It was so spacious, clean, breezy, and everything for the beach, cooking, and all the misc stuff you forget you need. The lanai and back yard were so relaxing. The neighborhood is really quiet and we appreciated being out of the tourist corridor of condos. Highly recommend for all and hope to return ahain

This house was great for our family of four!
The yard had avocado, mango, lime, and breadfruit trees and some were ripe in June. The residential neighborhood was pretty good. The house next door had active construction and a screaming baby with all windows open but stuff like that is to be expected. The A/C window unit in the master bedroom was nice. Other two bedrooms got cool enough to sleep in with all windows open by about 9pm so one of our kids needed to fall asleep in the master bedroom due to time change. Everyone was awakened by roosters by 5:30am since windows were open. Small shady patio out back was nice too. There was a small desk for remote work!
We drove to Poipu Beach (cool turtles and monk seals!) but I suppose you could describe it as walkable, although we didn't see more than a couple of people walking. Also within a 10min drive were Brenneckes Beach, Shipwreck Beach, a cool cave, hike along lithified cliffs and turtle sanctuary. No walkable restaurants but kitchen had everything we needed to cook.
The owner was very helpful and responsive when we needed something.

It was very large. It was perfect for our needs. Everyone enjoyed it. We did not find a hot tub as was listed on ad.

The house was clean and within walking distance to poipu beach, lots of beach toys and snorkeling stuff. The only problem i had which wasn't even a big deal and probably a user error was getting the code to work on the front door but there was an alternative way to be able to get in by using the garage code. Overall the house was amazing and i would definitely stay here again.

We had a glorious week on Kauai with our grandchildren. Complete with whales,turtles,seals snorkeling and even surfing on our last day. We came “ home” to Hale Ohana after very full days of fun in the sun. The beach equipment was appreciated and helpful too. We would love to come back.

The home was nice; however, it didn't appear the home was cleaned prior to our arrival. There were stains on the linens. When I searched for A/C, the house came up; however, you have to look at the details to find out that it only has a window unit in the master bedroom, so the house was quite hot. The fan in the LR didn't work. The owner was supposed to have housekeepers come out and no one ever showed up to fix or clean. The German cockroaches were a problem especially when someone woke up to one trying to crawl in his ear. We kept putting the lizards back outside until we realized they were actually eating the cockroaches so we left them alone. The owners were responsive to emails but nothing every got corrected. On the positive side, they had a beautiful patio and yard. It's the only house we stayed in that did not have strict guidelines for departure.

Great location in Poipu and short 10-min walk to Poipu Beach. We had a rental car & was a short drive to markets, shops & places to eat. Lovely backyard & the wildlife in the area is amazing!

Clean, well-appointed with many extra little conveniences to make living there easy and comfortable. Pretty property with a verdant back yard. A bit further to the beach than desired for walking, but wonderfully located for the south and west areas if driving a car. Close to a couple small malls that cater to tourists with convenience stores and great restaurants.

This house stayed hot, day and night. We did everything we could think of to cool it down and keep it cool, but had no luck. It never even crossed my mind when booking that I should look for a place with air conditioning specifically. Now I know.

This well-kept and spacious house in a quiet neighborhood is a wonderful place to enjoy the Poipu area. We relaxed in the yard with its fruit trees, flowers. birds, and stars. The many amenities made us feel at home. Mahalo for sharing your hale with us.

This vacation home is exactly what we needed for our family!! It was spacious with 3 bathrooms, a great size master bedroom, 2 living rooms for the family to spread out. There were plenty of board games for the kids, plenty of towels, beach accessories! Everything was complete! Could not ask for a better rental!!! Location to poipu beach was only a few min away! Thank you Alan and Lynelle for sharing your home to us!! We had a wonderful vacation, the kids had a great time!!!

This house was awesome! So clean and well stocked! There was everything we could possibly want and more. The AC in the master bedroom was a bonus. The drying line in the garage came in very handy. Communication with the owners was easy and they were so accommodating and nice. Hopefully we can come back again soon! Mahalo!

What a gem this place is! Beautiful house with everything a group of 6 could have needed to have an awesome week on kauai. The back yard was great for afternoon maps and nighttime stargazing. We're already looking forward to finding our way back here!

Lovely well equipped home set back from the shore
Great experience staying here as a family of six. We enjoyed the house games/puzzles. Well equipped with all we needed for sleeping arrangements and Beach fun. Kids loved the big yard .We loved Poipu beach, we chose the walk through the neighbourhood, about 20mins with kids and a couple of bags. A short drive otherwise. Great location for exploring further afield too.

It is located on a dead end street so it is very quiet and safe. One air conditioner doesn't quiet cool all 3 bedrooms but it was okay in early June.

We stayed here with 3 adult couples, and it was absolutely perfect! Very clean and spacious, beautiful backyard with lots of fruit trees, and tons of beach equipment that we took full advantage of! The location is also excellent, just a 5min drive to many beaches and restaurants.

The property was good. Our only complaint is that it was very warm in the house with no a/c. The master bedroom did have a window unit so it was fine with that on at night. But the other rooms did not and it was hard to sleep good with it so warm.

Great Location
We loved everything about this house. It was big enough for our group. Kitchen had all the amenities necessary to cook every night. Master bedroom was spacious with A/C. Guest bedrooms were a little smaller but comfy. House stayed cool. Never worried about the heat. Plenty of windows for cool night breeze to come through. Lots of towels. Great BBQ out back. Massive yard for kids to play. Garage had so many toys for the beach! Boogie boards, surf boards, snorkel gear, sand toys, and plenty of beach chairs and towels. The most important thing about the house was the location. We literally were so close to Poipu beach, shopping, restaurants, etc.
If you are looking for something other than a tiny 2 bedroom condo or apt near the beach, this house is the perfect place!! Location location location!! I highly recommend staying here. Great nightly rate for a group.

This was a great VRBO experience. The home was so close to my favorite beach (5 minute drive). Great snorkeling, shore diving, sunsets, etc. The backyard was amazing for the young kids. The house had everything we needed for a successful beach experience (chairs, towels, sand toys, snorkel gear, etc.). The only they I didn't see was an umbrella for fair skinned people like myself. The house was great. Two full bathrooms for everyone to use. A hose out front to rinse sand off before entering the house. The AC unit in the master bedroom was great. The rest of the house didn't have AC, but honestly, we didn't need it. It was a bit warm during the day, but we were out at the beach anyways. We had one small issue with a bathtub faucet and the hosts fixed it immediately. Such a great experience. Perfect place to celebrate our new engagement (he proposed while hiking in the mountains :) )
