This home is in a perfect location to beautiful beaches and plenty of places to hike. There are also many shops and restaurants nearby, although it would definitely be recommended that you have a rental car. The layout of the home worked out very well for our family of 9 and had all the amenities we all needed. Many thanks to Evan, the property manager, for his attentiveness to our needs, his helpfulness with suggestions, and knowledge of the area. Kaua’i is now our favorite Hawaiian island!

My brother and I stayed here with my mom to celebrate her 80th. It was wonderful. I love the deck and Lanai. We probably stayed the majority of our home time there. The pool was perfect and used frequently after each adventure. The place was clean and Evan was really helpful and welcoming. Perfect place for a family to hang out.

This family friendly home does not disappoint! Ning, the owner, and Evan, the property manager, went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. The house is well stocked and you will not lack supplies for the kids! The deck was great and the kids loved the pool. (It is small and 3 ft deep, perfect for our kiddos!) Hesitating? Don’t! Book it now! We truly hated to leave!

Our family (8 adults) stayed for a week in May 2024. The home has lots of space inside and a large deck with a gorgeous view of the mountains and convenient location as promised. This was all very positive and we loved it. The only negatives were that the pool is very small (more of a plunge pool) and the home is generally out of date in terms of furnishings and up keep. The photos make everything look brand new - it is actually well used.

Was an amazing house to stay in, had all the amenities we needed for a group of 6 + 3 kiddos. Tons of useful gear for beach time, and the pool was great during the baby naps.

I tend to do a lot of research and we chose together with those we are traveling with to make sure everyone is in agreement for where we will be staying. Bird of Paradise was the home we chose and we looked at many. I have to tell you we had been planning for probably 1 1/2 yrs for our family to go on a trip to Kauai together. We were looking for the perfect home and this was it! We were not disappointed and were Wow'd by the first site of the house. I can't say enough about how comfortable it was and how well equipped. One of the best things about this house is the balcony goes around the house and is higher than any others around which makes for great views of sunrises and sunsets. It's just a short walk to the beach to view either. It is in the perfect location! You will not be disappointed by this house. Everything about it was just great for our family. The pool was so great for the grandkids and also was one of the deciding factors. Enough room for private times for ourselves as well as together time(mostly) in the fantastic living room with views. At first we had wanted an oceanfront place but we are so glad we decided on the Bird of Paradise with Mountain views and small ocean view. Ming was so nice to work with and Evan was there for anything that was needed, although we didn't need anything, so much there. I just can't say enough about the communication, the ease, the beauty of this place. You will not be disappointed. It was hard to leave <3

We loved this home and its surroundings. It had everything we needed to enjoy Kauai and the beaches- we didn’t have to bring a thing. We loved the view, the walk to nearby beaches, the sunny Lanai and the comfy beds. Evan the house manager was available for any issues or questions and knowledgeable about all there is to go and do. We did a lot of cooking and found the kitchen stocked with everything we needed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location makes it walkable to a number of places, including Poipu Beach. The house is stocked with everything that you need for an outing to the beach, including things for small children. We enjoyed the pool at the house as well. I highly recommend this property!

This home is even more gorgeous in person, than the pictures. It is beautifully decorated, the kitchen has every gadget & appliance you could possibly need. It is within minutes of Poipu beach & shopping village.
It is spacious with wrap around windows of just beautiful views. We spent most of our time, when back at "home", out on the deck with warm trade winds blowing. My brother in law enjoyed the pool & all the beach gear is there so we packed it up & off to the beach we went.
All the conveniences, perfect location -- couldn't ask for a better vacation, thank you Ning & Evan!!!!

Each one of our famiy members had a terrific time at the Bird of Paradise. The home is beautiful yet comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and there is a ton of handy beach items to use. It is in a gorgeous setting with a sense of privacy. We spent a lot of time on the lanai -watching the sunrise, reading, enjoying outdoor meals. We walked to neaby Poipu and Shipwreck Beaches, hiked in the area and took short drives to many excellent local sites. Ning, the owner, and Evan, the propery manager, couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful.

Bring your own lock for the pool gate. Dishwasher is hanging on by a thread. The home is beautiful- lots of space and worn enough that you will not be uncomfortable letting your kids be kids.

A wonderful home - stunning location in Poipu - every convenience, well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms, decks all around to sit in the tradewinds with your morning coffee or glass of wine, and so many beach toys. What really made a difference was the active management by Evan and the owners - ensuring that your arrival and departure was so smooth, along with helpful ideas about places to go and fun experiences for Kauai.

House was exactly as described in Vrbo. Everything we needed was here (pool and beach toys, beach towels, PFDs for children!. Check in was easiest I have ever been involved with. Owner had lights and ACs going when we got there (nearly dark when we arrived). The kids and grownups enjoyed the pool. House was close to shops, and beaches. Best vacation ever!

The house is in a great location, with walks to beaches and quick drives to many restaurants and shopping. The beds were very comfortable and the house is well supplied with cooking gear, ample towels, boogie boards, beach gear...you name it! The bungalow worked out great for our family and the pool was an added plus. This is the house to rent if you want to be in the Poipu area.

Beautiful stay in this house. The views are wonderful outside and inside the house. The kitchen is very well provided. The beds are comfortable. Lots of suggestions about what to do. Lots of equipment for the beach downstairs (chairs, snorkeling equipment, coolers, bodyboards). Great communication with the owners and the manager. We strongly recommend this stay!

Located in Poipu Kai Resort, this property is located in a great location of you're interested in the South of the island. 4 bedrooms, 5beds, 3.5 bathrooms, small pool, wrap around porch with great sunrise views. It's a 5 minute walk to the Grand Hyatt Resort, 10 minutes to Shipwreck beach or the trailhead, and 5 minutes to the resort pool and tennis courts. We rented a vehicle and max was a 30 minute drive to where we wanted to go. The host Ning was extremely attentive and detailed to make sure your stay was pleasant. She Asiago seems you plenty of ideas and things to do, of you use her contacts you can get a discount at some locations. There is a property manager available if you need something, but we did not utilize him. The house comes with a lot of essentials from either prior guests or the owner, so I would check into the house first before you go shopping. Overall if you're staying with at least 5 people this is a great and affordable option.

This was by far, the best property we have stayed at in our many years of using VRBO! The owners were fabulous and very attentive. Evan, the property manager, was so extremely helpful. We had to call a couple of times and he was over and solved the problem immediately. I lost my bag the very first day and while it was never recovered, Evan, helped us find a prescription mask so I could scuba dive the next day! Sitting on the lanai with the family every evening was some of our fondest memories. This will definitely be a vacation to remember and if we ever make it back to Kauai, we will definitely stay in the Bird of Paradise home again! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! Aloha!!!!!

Family vacation celebrating our father’s 80th
Bird of Paradise is a beautiful home! Perfect for the 8 adults who stayed here. Everything was clean and in working order and there were plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, snorkeling equipment and sand toys to use. The pool was clean and warm and the views were stunning. Evan, the property manager, was there to great us and was in communication through the week in case we needed anything and to let us know about local events going on. Ning, the owner, was great to work with and helped us arrange a photo shoot on Shipwreck Beach to help celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. Definitely would rent from her again!

Perfect option for our family
Communication with Ning was fantastic leading up to our trip, and she was able to provide a lot of terrific information regarding options on the island. Evan, the property manager, was also very helpful. The house was spotless and the location for us was ideal. I would do it all again tomorrow and stay at the Bird of Paradise home, if possible.

Birds of Paradise home was the best equipped home with everything needed for kitchen, laundry and beach! Lots of towels, washer/dryer, ice chest, boggie boards and a great small floating pool. The house manager was wonderful and extremely responsive as was the home owner. 5 stars all around, cannot think of anything missing! Beautiful mountain sunrises and large Lanai with plenty of seating. Great for a family or group of friends. Highly recommend.

Birds of Paradise home was the best equipped home with everything needed for kitchen, laundry and beach! Lots of towels, washer/dryer, ice chest, boggie boards and a great small floating pool. The house manager was wonderful and extremely responsive as was the home owner. 5 stars all around, cannot think of anything missing! Beautiful mountain sunrises and large Lanai with plenty of seating. Great for a family or group of friends. Highly recommend.

Great time on Kauai
We had a great time staying at the Birds of Paradise House. The location was amazing and we had access to anything we needed. We had a minor issue with the stove while we were there and it was fixed very quickly. The amount of space and beach/pool accessories provided was perfect for our family. We would definitely stay here again!

After several trips to Kauai we have found our new favorite place to stay. It is beautiful, has a fabulous location and met all our needs. The owner and house manager were delightful to work with. Cannot recommend highly enough. We love this house!

We had a wonderful week with our entire family-the house was so comfortable and the kids loved the pool and nearby Poipu Beach. Ning was great to work with from start to finish. We hate to leave the Bird of Paradise home!
