It was the end of the season so it’s the best time… not alot of travelers

The hosts Jacenda and Chris were gracious and easy to work with. They made a point to greet us upon arrival and checked in later to see how we were doing. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay - clean, well stocked with kitchen supplies, comfortable bed, and the TV and wifi worked. The beach was a short walk or drive. The pool area looks great for later-in-the-year visits when it warms up.

We had a great time, the location was excellent and we had place pretty much to ourselves. It’s very quiet at night which we loved. Also not far from all the beaches and restaurants!!!

This was one of the cleanest and well furnished places I have stayed in Port A that was not a hotel. The entire process from listing to checking in and checking out was clearly posted on site and in Villa. When I encountered a question, the response time and solution was immediate. We plan to use this place again on our next trip to Port Aransas!

Shadow Palm is a great place to stay in Port A. This is our 2nd time to stay with them and will definitely return again. The one bedroom villa is perfect for my husband and me and our 2 small dogs. It is super clean and well stocked with everything you need. It has 2 large TVs and the AC works great. Even though it rained the entire time we were there, we still enjoyed a relaxing getaway. The owner, Jacenda, is very nice and answers your questions quickly. If you are looking for a smaller property that is clean and quiet, look no further!

Nice property. Close to the beach. We liked that each bungalow was stand alone. Large living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. We would definitely recommend to others.

Property is very peaceful. Close to the beach. Pool right out front. I enjoyed going for walks and sitting outside with my coffee in the morning. We had no issues. We visit Port A quite often and definitely will be back to this property.

If you’re looking for a home away from home, this is it! It’s a lovely property and very comfortable for long stays. We are repeat customers and will continue to stay in the future. Extremely clean, updated and perfect for families!

My girlfriend and I came down to celebrate her 60th birthday. The villa is beautiful, clean, gorgeous stone bar / counter top. Beautiful pool was outside our door. Small, quant, quiet villa. Had everything we needed. Builder / designer didn't waste any space. Exquisite! Parking was perfect. Only negative was the bed wasn't very comfortable and made noise if you or other moved. We give this rental a 10!! We look forward to renting again! Thank you!

I loved that this place was dog friendly. The couch was a little stained from the years of use. Maybe a cover could be used in order to make it look cleaner each time a new quest is to arrive.

Very cute 1 bedroom. Only things I have negative to say are the chairs around the counter which really is the only place to sit and eat are not at all comfortable. And the pool was dirty. They had the vacuum going to clean it overnight but there was still a few places the next day that it missed. I know for most Texans it’s still to chilly to be in the pool but not me.

Great location and very well kept place. Easy access to the beach and centrally located to many restaurants and activities in Port A. Will definitely be coming back!

We really appreciated finding a dog-friendly property at the last minute after our reservation for a different place was cancelled unexpectedly. Booking was straightforward and communication was easy. The owner, Jacenda, promptly sent the information for check-in and check-out, and it was all very clear. These condos are individual units and provide wonderful privacy. Most of the other guests we encountered also had dogs with them, which was really nice! Loved not having to carry a key because access was provided by a keypad on the front door. All of the basics for a weekend stay were provided. Parking was easy, and it was only about a 5-minute drive into town for dinner. The bed was memory foam and very comfortable. The sheets were high quality (high thread count, smooth). The interior of the fridge was spotless. The amount and type of furniture was just right. The floors are all tile with a wood look - great for a condo near the beach. The wifi was weak, and cell reception in the general area isn’t consistent, so just be aware of that (this wasn’t a huge concern for us). The TVs were great, and included all of the streaming services we use at home. The pool itself was pretty, although we didn’t use it during the short time we were there. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the beach. You’ll want to bring your own beach towels and anything else you need for the beach. It seems that the property is still in the process of recovering from the February 2021 deep freeze. Much of the landscaping looks like it needed to be replaced. There were exposed cords and a lack of mulch in the landscaping beds, and some broken tiles and outdoor furniture. Overall, it didn’t look as well-kept as in the photos. We found that our unit had a bit of wear and tear, and needs some touch ups and a deep cleaning. The sofa, loveseat, and throw pillows either need deep cleaning or replacement. There was a lot of built-up dust on the door frames, door panels, and front of the kitchen cabinets. We found dust and fur on top of the bedspread and under it (on top of the top sheet), but the area between the top sheet and fitted sheet was clean. The shower caddy needs to have all of the previous soap and shampoo residue cleaned off of it. The shower curtain could have also used a cleaning. We also felt that the unit smelled a little of mold, maybe from the dampness of the nearby ocean? Overall a pleasant stay near the beach! Thank you, Jacenda!

Easy to find property, excellent communication ahead of our arrival with the owner and a lovely villa made for a wonderful few days of peace and quiet. Easy to find everything on the island, awesome beach just a rock's throw away, and a very comfortable villa made for a great vacation. Thank you!

This was the perfect place for the 2 of us, quiet and cozy close to everything.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean and very spacious for a couple. The pool was nice. Access to a washer and dryer was a plus. Would recommend and will stay here again.

We loved our stay at Shadow Palm. Our Villa was clean and stocked with all that we needed. The AC works great, which is a huge must for me at the beach. The pool is in the middle of all the Villas. It is quiet and clean and has an ample amount of lounge chairs and chairs. While we were at the pool, we met Pam, the property manager. She was so nice and informative. We are so happy to have found these great Villas. We will definitely stay at Shadow Palm again.
