The home is situated in a great neighborhood. The house is large, bright and airy. Very clean! Any item you think you may need is offered. Even toys, pack n play & high chair. The bedrooms have comfy beds and large closets. Nice laundry room area. Kitchen is spacious and great for cooking for a family. Supplies are plentiful. The garage access is wonderful as well. We stayed for our daughters wedding at Victorian Belle Mansion and it was a perfect distance away. We would definately wish to stay again!

The house was clean and spacious. The kids enjoyed the foosball table. Beds were comfy. Location was great for our visit. Peninsula Park is only a couple blocks away.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the N. Mississippi District.
The House was very well furnished with plenty of space.
It is across from the Community College, but on a very quiet street.
I really appreciated being able to park my car in the garage as well.
There is a tenant in the basement as required by law but you would never even know it since there is a completely separate entrance.
We even went to the Breakfast spot suggested in the hand-written notes for the House and it was excellent!
***I wanted to specifically point-out the excellent communication with Lill. First we were able to get an earlier check-in than expected.
Then after check-out, Lill let us know that we had left some of our IDs behind (which could have been a real problem!). We were able to arrange a same day pickup, which definitely saved our vacation (and probably my marriage!).

This is a beautiful property. It was perfect for our group of 4 adults and two kids. Well equipped, comfortable rooms. If I had to pick something to improve, I would ask that the guest manual be typed instead of handwritten on graph paper. :-D. Not a huge deal, but we all had trouble reading much of it. Thanks for sharing your pretty house.

We absolutely enjoyed this house, location and owner !!! She was able to give us an early check in, the house was spotless and equipped with anything you might need. This is truly a 5 Star rental !!!

We enjoyed our stay at this tri-level home. It was clean and comfortable. We loved how the Missisippi Ave area was close and walkable from our doorstep. We found several great places to dine. Sweedeedees was our favorite breakfast cafe. We highly recommend it and it was a walkable distance from the house. The location was perfect and close enough to downtown to not have to drive more than 10 mins anywhere. We recommend this property for families as there was ample space with 3 bedrooms and a ensuite master bath.

This was in an ideal location and was the perfect home away from home for our family while in Portland for a family wedding. The home is well-maintained and furnished with everything we could have needed. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home and accommodations. Location was perfect to sightsee and dining. I’m returning to Portland would book this location without a doubt a must stay. Only part that was not liked. Was the ring doorbell monitoring camera. Other than that a great stay a must stay vrbo.

Our stay at Zen Modern was amazing! The house is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, clean and well stocked. It was in a great location making it easy to get many places around Portland. The neighborhood was quiet and it was great to have a garage to park in. Lill, the host/property manager, was wonderful and was so quick to respond to questions I had about about the house, coffee shops in the area and even where I could find my teenage daughter a dress for the wedding we were attending because the one we ordered at home didn't come in time. We will definitely stay again on our next trip!

This property is amazing! You can tell the owners take pride in providing a peaceful stay!!! She even let us check in early when I requested this the day of! So kind and such a lovely home!!! Soft sheets, cozy beds, anything you would need to feel at home.

Great property in a very nice location near the Peninsula Park rose garden. The house was well appointed Ana well equipped for all of our needs, even a Pack and Play and a high chair for my granddaughter! Lill was super respectful to all of our needs. Highly recommend!!!

If there was ever a perfect vacation rental house this has to be it. The kitchen was phenomenal with everything you need and a large island and spacious dining table in the separate dining area. I had invited relatives from Denmark to stay with us so we were 6 people plus I have family members who live in Portland and we had planned a Danish “food festival” involving quite a lot of cooking. This kitchen made it a breeze and we had so much fun. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 1/5 bathrooms. The master suite was a dream. Very large with nice walk-in shower and two sinks. It also had a huge walk-in closet and we could close ourselves off from the rest of the house when we felt like it. The 2 other bedrooms were bright and roomy and had lots of closet space. Their shared bathroom had a bathtub. The only outdoor space was a lovely deck off the kitchen but the house is very close to Peninsula Park with the beautiful rose garden. The garage was great. It only had room for one car but that was enough. There is lots of street parking in that area. There is also a very nice office that my husband used for work when he needed to and the living room was extremely comfortable with 2 big sofas and a large fireplace. We were able to have a perfect Danish food festival in this Zen house. This was the perfect house for us

2 of my girlfriends and myself spent 4 nights at this wonderful vacation rental. Everything we needed was there including a welcoming bottle of wine. Lil kept in contact with us and made sure we had what we needed. The best thing about the home was that it was well stocked with dishes, utensils, spices, towels, soap, laundry detergent, etc. We felt like we were home. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to explore the Portland area and have everything they need. We would definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed at this home for my son's Portland wedding. It was perfect from start to finish!.Great communication with Lil. Plenty of space in all three bedrooms especially beautiful was the master suite with enormous shower, sink areas and closet space. The house had every amenity you could need. Kitchen was well stocked. Sunny laundry room had extra towels and sheets. It was very well organized and everything was well thought out.We loved every minute and hope to return.

A beautiful house which was comfortable, roomy and welcoming. Just as described. Kitchen well equipped, with necessities already there. Rooms were immaculate and beds were very comfortable.
Lill was very accommodating and a sweetheart to work with!!

We loved the coziness of this property. The surrounding area is a bit busy, with a community college across the street, but we loved being able to walk to an amazing rose garden and park just blocks away. The property manager was welcoming (leaving a complimentary bottle of wine!) and provided detailed instructions for entry, which felt safe and secure (including garage parking). Once stepping inside, the house was quiet and spacious. We especially loved the comfy beds and quiet evenings. The primary shower was dreamy and I loved the fact that there were ample extras left from previous tenants to help with toiletry or pantry staples. We were super close to the airport when it came time to fly home. Definitely worth a stay in Portland!

The foosball table is a lot of fun, the porch off the kitchen is super intimate, and the open layout of the living space makes having a family dinner very easy. It is about 20 minutes away from the airport, close to the rose garden, and within a couple blocks of coffee shops and little restaurants. The bathrooms are luxurious and well-stocked with essentials should you forget anything. The kitchen is also well-stocked both with equipment and a decent pantry. The neighborhood and street are very quiet and the house is quite serene in its wooded surroundings. There's even a little tuxedo cat that roams in the neighbor's backyard!
Our only suggestions would be more diverse pillow options in the bedrooms. They are super soft pillows, just a heads up if you're into a different type of sleeping support. Also, the lights outside the master bedroom can be bright, so bringing an eye mask might be something to consider. Very minor suggestions that did not affect our overall enjoyment of this awesome place!

We were an extended family; grandparents, adult daughter and granddaughters. There were 5 of us in all. The house fit us comfortably and felt luxurious. Even with our two sons coming to hang out, the entertaining areas were quite spacious, accommodating all of us. The Foosball table was a plus. The kitchen was well equipped. Lill, our host, was constantly in touch to check on our welfare. Waiting for us upon arrival was wine and coffee… what more could we need ?!?! 😃 Coffee shop around the corner and quiet neighborhood, yet easy access to lots of eateries and easy drive to downtown Portland. The garage was another plus, accommodating our mini van easily. Perfect home away from home for us ! I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we return to Portland.

This property was just as advertised: A beautiful, well-furnished and stocked vacation home that was just right for our week-long stay in Portland. We wanted a home-like atmosphere where we could spend quality time with our Portland relatives and the Zen house was just the ticket! We frequented local grocery stores for meal ingredients and cooked a bunch at home. We shopped for games and puzzles at Mox (in downtown Portland) and had a wonderful time playing and listening to music and making great memories. We will return!

. . . for our mini-reunion of five "old" school friends. Zen Modern was immaculate, very well stocked (kitchen, linens) -- we could have moved in permanently and not wanted for much! Besides the garage, there was ample on-street parking; plus it was an easy walk to the Killingworth MAX station. Best: Lill was truly a Premier Host!

We had a wonderful stay! We stayed at this property few years ago and loved it. This next stay was just as amazing and there was a new foosball table! The booking and checkin process was super easy and Lill is a very fast and reliable host. Looking forward to staying here again the next time we visit Portland.

Our family came to move our daughter into Reed College. The house was stunning and very comfortable for our whole family. It was a great launching site for seeing all the city had to offer and as a home base during the move in. We will definitely stay here again.

Immaculate “Dollhouse Hotel”
My family fell in love with this gorgeous and impeccable home. My 3-year-old affectionately named it the “Dollhouse Hotel.” Lill was a kind and thoughtful host in all ways and truly went above and beyond when we needed her help. We were truly blown away by what was—by far— the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. We are also using it as inspiration for our future remodel! Beyond the perfectly appointed home, the neighborhood is the best that Portland has to offer. There was something for everyone- from a gorgeous and fun park for my kids to a legendary record store for my husband. As for me, I’ll have to say it was the doughnuts.

Great Spacious Clean Home
We came here for my son's graduation and had a total of six people. The home was fantastically located and vey comfortable for all of us to sleep, hang out and make meals - the kitchen is attached to the dining area and ceilings are high so you really feel roomy.
The host was very accessible by text and responded to the couple questions we had. We also had use of the garage space which is great when your car is stuffed with things and you prefer not to park on the street although there is plenty of street parking.
It is a quiet neighborhood but close to food/shopping and freeway,

What a beautiful house! The modern features, the art, the light fixtures, the thoughtful design - all terrific.
And it's comfortably walkable to cafes, shops, Peninsula Park rose garden.
Loved it! Wa t to come back when roses are in bloom, and will only stay here.

This was one of our favorite VRBO stays ever. Great house, fun location, great trip overall. The property manager was very helpful and quick to respond. Will stay here again next time I’m in Portland.

Fantastic week in Portland
Our family had a great stay at the Zen Modern. It was clean and well taken care of, the foosball table provided hours of entertainment, the high chair and pack and play were great for our 2-year-old, and the location was easy for getting around Portland quickly. We look forward to staying here again!
