After reading the positive reviews of David’s house, we (four sisters) were surprised to have a very different experience. Yes, the house was very comfortable. We had an outdoor fire the two non-rainy nights and enjoyed having plenty of firewood. The kitchen and living areas had everything we needed to prepare a few simple meals and enjoy each other’s company in the evenings after our day of exploring. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra blankets. The bedroom situation is a little misleading as the room with bunk beds also houses the washer and dryer and therefore has no closet. The other three bedrooms had two closets each but only one of those six closets was usable. The other five were either locked, full of clothes or full of life vests. There were plenty of throws for the colder-natured of us and the bathrooms were well-stocked with towels. However, our communication with David was less than satisfactory. Emails about check-in and house rules were difficult to read (the information was a cut-and-paste from something else that displayed in 4-point font and did not text wrap!) and contradicted the written material in the house rules book. We were never able to successfully connect to the wifi, and when we reached out to David via phone, text and email, he replied to our first communication with an alternative modem and password that also didn’t work, plus almost insulting instructions (you have to open a browser – yes, we know that), but never replied

We attended a family wedding at Bristol Mtn and stayed at this VRBO. It was a great place for our family to be together. Great location, well stocked with dishes, towels etc and plenty of space. The weather wasn’t good so we were unable to hang out by the lakeside which was unfortunate as it is lovely. The owner is quite responsive to questions. Thanks for a nice accommodation!

My son and I have been planning on a fishing trip for his 10th birthday for a few months.Honeoye lake is picturesque and beautiful part of the Finger Lakes region. I sincerely could not ask for a more delightful house to be the centerpiece of our stay. The house was huge and very clean and inviting. The host provided everything I could ask for in the way of amenities. Grocery store within 10 minutes away. Most of all my son felt safe and secure. A true cozy home away from home. We rented a boat Saturday right down the road and fished and had a great time. But not as great of a time we had fishing right off the dock! More fish! BIGGER fish! Cleaned and cooked them and ate dinner by the campfire. If there were 1 part of the stay I did not enjoy I would say so! Perhaps leaving was a challenge. I had a great time with my boy that we will both remember forever and I could not ask for a nicer place. Thank you!

This property is a great location for exploring the Finger Lakes and surrounding areas. There are plenty of beautiful wineries and gorgeous landscape to take in on your drives around the lake. The property was a central hub for a mini- family reunion to attend my son's wedding. The kitchen and bathroom were recently renovated and the kitchen was very spacious for cooking and well stocked with pans, plates and utensils for a crowd. All the appliances were new and easy to use. We enjoyed many meals together at the big table off the kitchen. Overall the property was well stocked for the guest in mind. There were plenty of towels in each bathroom and more blankets were in the closet. Overall this is a great comfortable property to enjoy family and relax. We hope you enjoy staying here as much as we did!

This was the second or third time we have stayed here. The owner has made several major upgrades over the years. The place looks better than ever. We'll definitely be staying here again.

This was our family vacation with our 3 sons and their wives and 4 little grandchildren. We had a great time and the yard to the lake was so large with plenty of space for the kids to run and not be near the water. The lounge chairs and hammock were so relaxing by the water. Great family get away.

We were in the area for a wedding. This house was perfect for 2 families of four. The kitchen was gorgeous. Property is very close to the boat launch. We would definitely stay again when we were able to spend more time on the lake.

We had a great week of fishing on Honeoye Lake thanks to the perfect rental home right on the lake. It was so convenient to have the boat and kayaks right there at the house, and speaking of the house, it has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! The host was also super friendly and very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody. Thanks again for the great week!

We booked David’s lake house for a long weekend. It is directly on the lake with a lovely deck, a chairs at the shore line. The house is very large, plenty of room for a large family or friends. Everything was immaculate. The house and furnishings are very comfortable and welcoming. The area is quiet, which we loved. Restaurants and stores are about 6 miles away - no problem getting to them.
David responded to my emails quickly, and was a very good host.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again.

After four hard days hiking around Niagara Falls in Canada, we were very grateful for the peace and quiet This home provided. The pool table was an added bonus as it rained all day on our second day there. Love the outdoor spaces and especially the fire pit. It was also very nice to not have to buy wood. We were very lucky to be there when the leaves and the trees were beautiful. I would recommend this home for many different groups. We were two couples and it was perfect for us but I could see our grand children loving it in the summer.

We like to fish and kayak and this house is ideally situated .
Easy to launch kayaks right out of the back yard and good fishing right in the immediate area.
Unlike many lakeside properties, this one has few steps to negatiate. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you might need. There is a tackle shop right up the road and the public boat launch is just a few hundred yards away.
If you are looking for a nice comfortable house on Lake Honeoye with all the basic amenities this would be a good choice.

This lakefront rental had everything we could have needed….spacious room for 8, beautiful kitchen with TWO refrigerators that were very necessary for food for 8. The fire pit was used 5 nights and was great, situated at lakeside. The dock was modern and had a large seating area. The fishing, which was important to us, was very good. Overall I would rate this rental property a 5.5 out of 5 !!! Can’t wait to go back.

Plenty of room in double fridge and huge table and seating at islands for a family of 11. Lots of games to keep the kids occupied. The house is perfect for people with mobility issues. Aside from 3 steps up into the kitchen or 4 steps on the deck, everything is one level. Showers were also both step in with no tub side to step over. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We were able to keep the house cool with the 2 air conditioning window units and fans. Looking forward to booking our next stay!

Nice home that worked great for our ice fishing, easy to get on the ice from back deck. Everything was accurate to listing and was very comfortable, nice newly remodeled kitchen. there is an additional refundable security deposit.
