I selected this property for a special father/daughter getaway with my 10-year old. Our objective was to stay in a cabin in the woods, and this satisfied all of our needs. The location felt plenty secluded, but offered extremely easy access to civilization and was conveniently located mid-way between the town of Jackson and the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Management was extremely responsive and accommodating. I had a minor maintenance request one morning, and the issue was addressed within a couple of hours. Terrific service!
Thank you for making this an unforgettable experience with my daughter!

This home was perfect for our visit to Jackson Hole, it’s set on a steep hill with lots of privacy and the town of Jackson was only minutes away. We knew we were in the right place when we saw a Moose at the driveway entrance when we first pulled up. One of our nights was unseasonably hot and there is no A/C but they were very good at communicating and brought us fans. I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very modern. I love the stainless steel. It is a beautiful home. There were a couple things that we feel were negatives. One being to the lack of window coverings. I imagine you love seeing the beautiful surrounding which we totally understand during the day. However come night time we all really wanted window coverings. I could see inside the neighbors house so I can only imagine they could see me. I am a night owl so I felt very vulnerable walking around without window coverings at night. There are many low profile options that would offer renters window covering and not take away from the openness. Just a thought. Also, the frig was very small. I had to take out a shelf just to get our milk in there. Luckily, we didn’t stay long but any longer and it would have been a bigger issue.
All in all though it was a great stay and a beautiful home.

This cabin far exceeded our expectations - everything was beyond perfect! The location was absolutely SPOTLESS inside and out. We can't wait to come back and book it for a longer stay. :)

Our family arrived as the snow was dropping up to a foot a day. Driveway was plowed promptly. Outer road was cleared as well. Moose were hanging out as we arrived. Great for our granddaughter to see them.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! The remodel to a modern feel made this a perfect place to stay. But more importantly, this place was away from the busy streets of Jackson, just outside of Wilson and made getting into and out of GTNP a simple task. And with being so close to access points to the Snake River, it made it a perfect spot for easy fishing trips. And there are other cabins nearby, but thanks to the thick woods, you hardly hear or see anyone else. Made it perfect to seeing deer every morning and evening.
Just a couple suggestions: Window shades in master bedroom. Views are great, but sun comes right into the bedroom. Not the best for those who want to sleep in a little. Not an issue, but for those wanting sweeping views, this isn't your place. You are in thick forested seclusion. But would it be possible to thin the forest just a bit to provide better views of the Teton valley?

The property is in a good location in Wilson, close to activities but far enough for a little rest and relaxation. We spotted a large bull elk down the road and a couple of deer on the property as hummingbirds fluttered by the window. Easy access to Moose-Wilson Road where we also saw some awesome wildlife one evening.

My husband and I along with another couple stayed in the cabin for 7 nights. The listing pictures shown were pretty accurate. The only surprise is when we drove up to the cabin we almost certainly thought it was the wrong cabin. The negative...compared to the other properties in the area the front of the cabin looked unkempt. There is no yard per se and there are a number of sheds with storage. There are very high weeds surrounded by a metal type of chicken wire fence which is quite unsightly. The biggest recommendation is to clean this up which is probably why there is no listing picture. Meanwhile, after going inside the cabin we were very happy. It was spacious and we loved sitting on the back deck overlooking the far off mountains. There are a number of windows so you have a number of wonderful views. We were there in early September 2013 so the weather was in the upper 60s and lower 40s at night. The cabin is secluded and includes a loft. However, the spiral stairway to the loft is very tight and more suitable for kids or the young adult. Be careful not to hit your head on the stairway as we did a couple of times. Someone had already put some padding/tape on one of the corners as this look like a common problem. There were some minor maintenance issues (e.g. the refrigerator not cooling properly, ice machine doesn't work as no water line was hooked up) we reported to the property managers. The property managers Stephanie and Leigh were very helpful and responsive. There was a second dorm size refrigerator which was helpful since the other refrigerator is not full size. It was also helpful to have a wash machine and dryer in the main bathroom. We would definitely return to this property in the future. We enjoyed it very much. A couple of things we would recommend. 1) Albertson's grocery store is in Jackson and a great place for getting buffalo or elk products. 2) Go to Wilson-Moose road and drive the 10 miles to the entrance of the Grand Tetons...fabulous place to photograph wildlife. While there in September, we saw moose and black bears. 3) Mangy Moose restaurant in the Teton Village was good. Restaurants in Jackson are fairly expensive. 4) Nora's Fish restaurant at the foot of the hill when you drive down from the log cabin (next to Exxon) offers a very nice breakfast and lunch. A lot of character and seems to attract the locals. 5) Bar J Chuck Wagon experience nearby was a great treat...the show more than the food. We had a fabulous time. Thanks

This cabin is exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable. It is about a mile up a hill right outside Wilson and only takes about 5 minutes to get to Wilson. Very secluded and very quiet. We enjoyed staying here very much. There is no TV but after a week, I got used to it. We had rabbits, deer and a moose in the yard which was nice. Wilson is a nice central location to Teton Village and Jackson.

The Cabin in the Woods is wonderful. My three daughters, my wife and I all enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the Cabin. The Cabin provided a very relaxing and quiet retreat at the end of the day. The property is well maintained, clean and accommodating. It is close to Jackson and Teton Village. The nearby activities included floating and white water rafting on the Snake River, the tram ride and bike park at Teton Village, shopping in Jackson, hiking and sightseeing in Teton and Yellowstone parks, and the great restaurants in Jackson (the Local, Cafe Genevieve, Snake River Brewing, and The Bird).
The only thing that took getting use to was there is no full refrigerator (there are two small refrigerators)

Overall our family of four enjoyed this cabin and would definitely consider staying here again. It was a fairly new rental property, so they were still working out some small kinks...for example, the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen could have been streamlined/de-cluttered for rental purposes. Additionally, there was no TV service (did have DVD player though), only a mini-fridge (not full-sized) and no automatic coffeemaker...not deal-breakers by any means but just things to be aware of before you go. The pluses, however, made this a recommended stay for us: awesome location that was private yet close to Teton Village and Jackson, contemporary yet comfortable decor, great deck area in the back and reasonable pricing. Great for a family of four or more. Enjoy!
