Fabulous stay at Heulwen. Great location, 1 minute from the beach but really quiet and peaceful at night. Really good value for this accommodation. Great communication from the owners too. I would highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely be returning

location was good, short walk to the beach and to the shops, chip shop and supermarket and close by to several pubs. Property was clean and had plenty of room with a separate dining room.

Beds were large but hard and uncomfortable and I`m a bit picky but the linin was dated.

The house is furnished lovely, with plenty of room and an exceptionally nice bathroom !The second toilet being very useful ! Every thing you need has been provided. Pete the host was very helpful and kind and did is upmost to make sure we enjoyed our stay and had all we needed !

The only thing that was a minor problem , was the mattress;s on both the double and king size beds were rather hard ! This did not spoil our stay !We

Excellent location and facilities. Well appointed and pleasant property.

Sadly, the beds had seen better days and were not as comfortable as they could have been. We had a little difficulty using some of the locks on the doors and the landing light wouldn’t switch off. None of these spoiled our enjoyment of the property however.

Great location for the beach. Met our needs and allowed us to take our dog. Bathroom was nice and modern.

It felt a bit unclean with stained carpets, someone else’s (presumably used) pillowcase in the laundry bag and being asked to keep the protectors on the bed when stripping them on departure.

Self-catering, the location was just right for us as it was away from the centre what we like, the accommodation was just what we needed for our family, also your own parking space for two cars a must in holiday areas. When we are going back to Barmouth this is the holiday home we will look at to re-book in the future.

The main bed was terrible! Cheap foam mattress was so uncomfortable we had to move to the other bedroom. All the bedding is old and needs replacing

We loved the character of the house and the location. All the facilities you needed were there.

The main bed has a very hard matress. The back door at the bottom needs fixing as does the bathroom floor. You can see there are some damp issues as well. This didn't affect our holiday though

The flooring in the bathroom needs attention, I tripped on it a couple of times. Mattress could do with a new topper.

The property has an oldie world / traditional feel about it, but the super king main bed and the double size shower make for a very comfy stay. All the little art objects, couple of paintings and bits of interest on the walls and shelves are nice additions and add to the "warmth" and homeliness of the place.

The gas oven was OK, but an electric fan oven would be easier to use.

I requested more toilet rolls as they had run out and these were not supplied

Heulwen was a pleasant comfortable house, ideal for the beach, especially as it was at the quieter end of the beach. The place was clean and looked after. The rooms comfortable and the new large shower in the bathroom a godsend. It’s situated about 10 mins out of town and handy for the Coop & shops. It has a small sun trap garden with table & chairs. The railway runs across the road along the front of the house which delighted the children as they could wave at the passengers. All in all it was an ideal place for a holiday with or without children.

Although parking was available it was quite a tight squeeze for our larger car and the roads around are narrow. Luckily as the shops & train station are near by, we didn’t need to use it during the stay. The lounge needed another sofa in as it didn’t seat 5 of us comfortably, however I have mentioned this to the owners.

The location was perfect, a stones throw from the beach, and perfect for a small family.

Anything which was an issue, I'd let Pete know about during our stay. There was nothing that we noticed during our stay that impacted our enjoyment.

location was spot on , to the north of the town but not too far into centre, beach is one of the best around, theres a designated parking for the house to the rear off the street.. its quite a large house inside , good sized rooms and there is a washing machine, drier and dishwasher which proved really handy. two large double bedrooms and a bunk bed in 3rd, all linen and towels provided, the bathroom is amazing, its new , a huge walk in shower with a very posh bath, its been very well done, another toilet next to it in small room . downstairs is living room seperate dining room with large table and 6 chairs, also high chair if needed, kitchen has everything you need with fridge and freezer. i even found spare doggy bags in a drawer as its dog friendly , we had our westie with us. outside theres a small courtyard with table and chairs, in whole a very nice place to stay, attention to detail on everthing. highly recommend it to anyone.

Seriously , I was happy with everything.

The house is comfortable and well equipped. It was very clean and we felt that all COVID hygiene rules had been followed. It’s in a good location for both the beach and the town centre, and it was good to have off road parking. Definitely recommended as a base for exploring the local area.
