Very clean, and modern apartment and great value. We stayed here for a few days whilst our house was being rewired and picked it as we were able to work from home- very comfortable and exactly what we were after. Definitely recommend.

Perfect stay!

If its possible, a little bit more light at the frontdoor.

The size, layout, cleanliness , and the self catering breakfast. And the very convenient location to the local pub/eatery.

The location on booking.com says 5 miles to center of York. We found it was approximately 15 miles. We used Google maps from the center of York. Google had always taken us the shortest route. So might be something to look at.

I was delighted to see that our lovely hosts had thought of everything, leaving us breakfast and fresh milk and bread. The rooms were spacious, comfy and everything was there that we could need for our trip.

Didn’t realise it was near son Army base with multiple aeroplanes taking off so close during the night.

I hadn’t really noticed the comment about how sound travels, so with three apartments in the block one group was quite loud outside the “quiet” hours. Not the owners fault at all, just something to bear in mind and maybe needs pointing out to any groups that there are quiet hours

The hosts were super friendly, I asked if they had any games and they dropped off a few within 5 minutes of asking! Great selection too. The bits and bobs they left for us arriving was so sweet and just enough to get us set up in the morning. The garden is so lovely, we had our tea outside there As it was lovely weather, it was so peaceful. Shower facilities are great! Nice and powerful, they left body wash, shampoo and conditioner for us to use aswell which you don’t get many places. 100% recommend for anyone, we were so sad we only stayed the one night, I think we’ll return for a long weekend break because it was just wonderful

The sofa cushions and single bed mattresses are a little worn/well used, possibly new mattress or topper foam topper in the single beds, the mattress may be a little soft and unsupportive but everything was super clean, no marks at all ok anything, the double bed was really comfortable though. The sofa maybe needs a little extra stuffing added to make it a little more comfortable but it’s not the end of the world, it’s very well looked after visually and no marks or stains anywhere to be seen, everything is super clean, well maintained and spotless tbh.

a few things needed a bit of attention, for e.g no skirting board in part of kitchen, main bedroom ceiling light, toilet roll holder in bathroom hanging off, some of these finishing touches would take it from good to excellent, quite pricy for one night!!!

this property is so lovely and comfortable, it’s just like home from home. it’s furnished to a high standard and has everything you could possible need.

the floor boards are a little creaky in places but that comes with being an old property.

Loved the quiet location and the birds singing in the morning. Very clean and comfortable.

A welcoming, clean and comfortable apartment. The decor was smart, unfussy, practical with the right amount of homeliness. I’m used to taking my own stuff when away self catering but the hosts provided much of what you may need plus a basket of goodies payable using an honesty box. Our hosts kept in touch via messages with information useful to us. A lovely location outside of York. Definitely try The Three Hares pub where the staff are lovely, friendly and efficient and the food is very good.

I can’t think of anything to dislike.

firs of all it was cold inside the apartment, we’ve been asked for a deposit after we made the booking and we were not advised about that, the floor was very noisy and we could hear guests from the apartment above, we found a lots of messages about keeping the apartment in very good shape ( we felt stressed about that) , the garden doesn’t look at all like in description, the breakfast is included but they give you some products upon arrival ( only once) and you have to cook it yourself

the property was easy to access, clean and modern. All the facilities you would need are there. It was cosy and homely. The honesty box was a great idea too.

The noisy floor boards up above when we were in bed, and the mattress on the twin room beds. It was too soft for me, but probably just my preference.
