I loved that the house was just a short walk from the beach and even closer to the other outdoor amenities (pool, volleyball, basketball, tennis). I also loved that the house had sleeping, eating, and lounging space for all 13 of us. It is a very nice house, but it needs some upkeep. Major issues were that the showerhead in the master bathroom didn't function properly, and the handheld shower head was broken, so it did not attach to the wall. The kids had to share rooms with the adults because there were ants and spiders in the bunkbeds. There was also a thick layer of dust in all of the corners and higher surfaces, and the a/c vents weren't clean. The bed that I slept in sagged in the middle and was very uncomfortable. All in all, the purpose of our trip was to take the kids to the beach, and the house surved our purpose. The kids had a great time.

To start with positives: the house was in great location, the ammenities such as the pool were fantastic and we enjoyed the trip overall.
With that said numerous issues with the home came up during our stay:
1) The fridge was not working, the compressor didnt kick on and upon calling the property owner was told it was working before and that we would just have to deal with it and use the backup fridge down the numerous flights of stairs which entailed our party of 10+ walking constantly up and down stairs. This was horrible customer service and we don't appreciate that!
2) numerous issues, including roaches in the downstairs bedroom, doors scraping the floors when opening, old fake fingernails and dorty eyelash on the floor, the mattress sheest were dirty in numerous rooms, and the advertisements for certain rooms were not accurate so we barely had enough room to zccomodate 4 couples.
We enjoyed the beach and convenience
but we did not enjoy the house fully we wont be booking it again unfortunately sorry!

Very satisfied. I probably would put curtains on the 2 bedrooms facing the road. A lot of light came through the little window on the top. You need to get the washing machine fixed upstairs. Other than that it was great. Thanks for a perfect week. Gary

Property is fine for a family who doesn’t mind sharing bathrooms and even the main bedroom (1 king and 2 doubles in the same area). Great location for beach, although there weren’t directions where we had beach access. We did find it. The seven grandchildren loved being across from volleyball, basketball and pool.
Our biggest complaint was the size of the kitchen, little space to prep. Floors weren’t clean (black soles). Sand is to be expected.
We made a list upon arrival of items that weren’t working. Maintenance did come to fix 2 items.
Property owners responded to several emails throughout.

The property needs a little TLC. Cracked tiles, dated furniture, half broken appliances, and ants. The property has a ton of potential due to the location and size. It's not a bad place to stay but it did not live up to expectations that we had. With a few updates this home can be amazing. As it stands now, there are better properties for the amount spent.

The property was great at accommodating our large group. We did have issues with the house as far as items for use being broken and not cleaned well. I did let the property owners know and they informed us that they live out of town and their cleaning crew are suppose to report any maintenance issues and they had not. I would hope that after our issues they check in with them because they made it very clear in their directions how much you would be charged extra for leaving a mess when in my opinion it could have been a LOT cleaner upon arrival. Other than that, we loved the house and was very close to everything we wanted to do!

We had plenty of room for our family get away. We had a problem with the tv and it was replaced during our stay. The kitchen could’ve had a few more essentials like cookie sheets but everything worked great. It was great to walk to the beach!

Destin Gem
For the price, this was one of the best values we have experienced in Destin. Owners were great and responded immediately to any issues that needed attention. It was a short walk to the beach, and we had perfect weather. The next comments are are not negatives - just FYIs as mentioned in other posts. Using the stairs in not an option in this house. They are needed everywhere you want to go. We all felt like we got an extra workout by climbing stairs all day long. The bunk room does not have a private entrance, it's accessed through another bedroom. The couch on the sun porch is a great size and easily sleeps an extra person if needed. Watch the "walk-thru" video carefully to make sure the sleeping/bedding arrangements will work for your family. WE LOVED IT.

Beautiful house
The house is absolutely beautiful and was super easy to check in. This house isn't for elderly though. The stairs up and down all the time will wear your legs out. The light bulbs were out in part of the dining room. The tub on the 2nd floor stayed stopped up after showers and the TV in the bottom floor didn't work.. The distance to the beach is just okay.

Great Location
The property was great and had a wonderful location to the beach and pool amenities. Property managers responded quickly to questions and gave detailed instructions before arrival. Biggest complaints were that the property did not stock any trash bags and only had 1 roll of toliet paper in each of the bathrooms. When you have 12 people staying in a house that just doesn't cut it and those items seemed to usually be stocked in all over our previous vrbos we have stayed at.

Very spacious but needs some attention
There is plenty of room for a large group. We were in Destin for softball nationals, so we were in the house a lot to keep the girls out of the heat. We also planned on cooking dinners a lot in the house. Be prepared to buy spices or salt and pepper. Not that this is the houses responsibility, but I wish we knew that going in. My mother bought a strainer to leave at the house for future guests. There were plenty of pots, but it could use a few frying pans. Make sure to bring disposable utensils as well.
The refrigerator took a while to cool down…almost two days. Leave your milk and meat in coolers and slowly add items to the refrigerator to make sure you do not overload it.
The patios…have no furniture. We were using dining room chairs to sit outside to enjoy the weather. The top of the house has magnificent views. There were 3 chairs, a broken chair and a table. The second level balcony we couldn’t enjoy due to lack of furniture and the one bedroom’s door not opening.
The house has two laundry areas which is awesome. And the mud room downstairs was perfect to keep beach items or beverages. There is also a refrigerator in this space.
The house was a quick walk to the beach and directly across the street from the community pool. That was nice. Also a sand volleyball court across the street.
Overall it was a great house for the 15 people we had there. The house just needs a little attention.

Family Beach Vacation
The house is spacious and our multigenerational family was pleased with the layout. Our only issue was a recurring power outage that caused some warm nights, interrupted cooking and loss of internet. The owner was responsive and the problem solved on our last day.

Family beach trip
The house was outstanding. It is huge, providing plenty of space for our group of fourteen to be comfortable. The two master bedroom areas are very large and can each accommodate a family. The family room and kitchen areas are very large allowing us to comfortably have family dinners together. We particularly loved the rooftop balcony which is a great place to watch sunsets and take family photos. We also made good use of the pool and volleyball court across the street. If you have a big group this house is for you. One of the owners, Anthony, is very helpful for any needs you may have.

Family Vacay!
We had a great family vacation at this rental. The only issue we had was the air conditioning unit on the third floor- however, Anthony was extremely quick to get us help and fix it. They put free-on in it the first day and when that didn’t solve the problem they had them come out again the second day. It definitely cooled things down on that floor after that. The first and second floors never had an issue. The house is in the perfect location for the pool. The beach is not a long walk either. It has all the kitchen equipment you need. One of our favorite things is that the living area can be completely closed off from the bedrooms. We were traveling with a 1 & 2 year old who wake up a lot earlier than the rest of us and they never bothered anyone! We really enjoyed our stay!

Large family vacation
Our family of16 fit very nicely in this property. There was plenty of room for big groups and there were also quiet areas for those who needed naps. The pool across the street was wonderful and the private beach access was a short walk. Our family appreciated and used both every day.
The upstairs bedrooms became very warm during the day and it would have been helpful to have other fans beside the ceiling fans for falling asleep at night. Otherwise our stay was great and we had a blessed week with our family.

The location is great. A short 5-10 minute walk to the beach. The pool and volleyball are straight across the street. The was house was good. The only knock is the A/C doesn’t cool that well upstairs and the refrigerator doesn’t get very cold. It won’t keep me from renting it again. Our family had a great time.

Ready to Do It Again
The rental process went smoothly, the check-in was seamless, the views from the balconies were great. The walk to the beach and pool were easy even with our nearly two y.o. grandson. Close to food and shopping. The beds were comfortable and plentiful. A very pleasant place to do a large family vacation.

Wonderful Rental
Had a great time at this location. The house was huge and maintained really well. Tons of space for my family for Christmas. Just blocks away from the beach and a few miles away from some great attractions and restaurants. Anthony and Trang were polite and answered all my questions promptly. Hands down the best property by the beach in Destin for large families!
This property was just about perfect for our 4 families (19 total) during our Destin summer vacation. Ample room and beds in this home with 3 bedrooms on the 3rd floor and 1 bedroom on the 1st floor. The bedroom downstairs has two queens with an additional bunk bed room, which was great for kids. The master bedroom upstairs has 2 additional beds in separate sitting areas, and was also great for one of our families with kids. What we particularly appreciate was the second floor, which is perfectly designed to keep the family in close proximity with all the common areas in an open space (living, dining, kitchen, breakfast, sitting area). We had no shortage of space to sit, eat, play, or watch a movie. Outside the property, you have an outdoor shower and water hose that makes for easy rinsing when coming from the community pool (which is right across the street) or the beach (just a short 5 min walk away across the main road). The multiple balcony and roof top patio areas were nice for enjoying morning sunrises or relaxing in the late evenings. Hot water never became an issue even after family showering all at once. Having laundry rooms upstairs and downstairs was very convenient in addition to the extra refrigerator which made buying a lot of groceries possible. We also made use of the propane-based grill to cook as well. The place is very well-located to many restaurants and shopping nearby. Anthony and Trang were great guests who helped with our questions and even helped to ship something back that we had left behind! All in all, we had a wonderful time in Destin staying in a wonderful place that we would definitely consider again.

Very nice house!
This house worked out great for our family vacation. Enough bedrooms for each family and the main floor was large enough for all of to gather at one time. The two clothes washers and dryers came in very handy. When we arrived, the gas grill was out of gas but was quickly taken care of by the property manager. The upstairs gets a little warm during the day but cools off at night for easy sleeping. If stairs are a problem for you, then this is not the house for you. The walk to the beach takes about five minutes but not too bad and having the pool right across the street was great. Overall, very nice clean house.

We had a great time. Everything was clean when we arrived. The only complaint would be the AC...it was a tad too warm upstairs. Overall we had a good time and would stay again the next time we come.
