This rental was amazing. great view and walking distance to the beach. great cardio exercise walking up the couple flights of stairs after a long day of eating and drinking 😉.

Great house with a stunning view of Avalon bay and a 5 minute walk to town. A friend of mine and I took her teenagers (there were 3) and they could just walk to the beach, town, etc. which was great. Although we had June gloom, the view from the house and the deck made hanging out there very enjoyable. I also liked that the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house and is divided by the kitchen so lots of privacy and very quiet.

This home is beautiful and was perfect for our group of 5. It's in a great location, beautiful views, and was a comfortable space for this size of a group. The property management was great and helpful. Highly recommend!

Not only were the hosts overly accommodating to us but the property was wonderful. View is amazing. House had everything we needed. Well stocked kitchen with all dishes and items we wanted. Will be back and would stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. The unit was clean, well stocked, in a great location and had a great view. The only problems were over-sensitive smoke detectors (went off multiple times when doing normal cooking and there was no visible smoke), and very poor wifi. I would recommend this unit having its own router and not just an extender. Even when close to the extender the wifi was poor, and it did not reach at all to one of the bedrooms. This would have been fine, but cell service in the unit was spotty. Other than these issues, however, it was great. Thanks!

Very nice stay. Beautiful view of Avalon and the bay.
Be aware that the stairway up to the property has many steps. (get your cardio in) :-)
A couple of things. The TV in the master bedroom didn't work and the exhaust fan above the stove didn't work.
The rest of the property was clean and well appointed.
We would definitely stay again.

Had a terrific long weekend in Catalina. This property is well located, just a couple of blocks to downtown Catalina. And the view from the large deck is panoramic and wonderful. The property also has a separate deck with a gas barbeque and dining table (and the same great view) which we used several times.
While it is mentioned in the listing it should be emphasized that it is a significant walk up many stairs. The elderly or those who have difficulty climbing stairs should beware. This is especially true when bringing in your luggage.
A few quibbles which I would not usually mention except that the property rents for a premium price: There were no beach towels and my email to management asking for some was not returned. And some of the kitchenware was dirty, including the coffee maker. Also, the property does not come with a golf cart so you'll either need to walk, which we did, or rent one. The wifi was a little slow but otherwise fine. We never used the TV so can't say whether it worked well or not.
On the plus side, the management let us know the property was ready early and that we were welcome to an early check-in which was a nice surprise.

Practically perfect except for cleanliness. Kitchen island dirty with crumbs, cleaning rag left behind by crew. Hair ball in toilet (HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN???) Hair in shower drain.
Reported to management company. Very apologetic, and assured that it would never happen again, which I believe. We plan to rent this unit again if and when we return.

This was a last minute booking. Everything went smoothly. Our family was able to relax and enjoy the view. Will definitely stay here again.

The property was nice and cosy .with good views

What an awesome view!! When we were at the house we sat outside on the porch admiring the view. The location was perfect. Off the main strip but can walk there is 5 mins. Also Vons grocery store was just a 10 min walk. The layout of the house was perfect for two couples. The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is that the hot water in the bedroom with two beds was only hot for the first 5 mins. Also the fan over the stove (part of microwave) was so weak the carbon monoxide alarm kept on going off each time we cooked even with all the windows open. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we come back to the island.

Infested with moths
We enjoyed the location. However, we had to wash our linens before we could use the beds and the towels and pull mattress onto the floor to sleep because of the infestation of moths and larvae. The kitchen utensils,cookware and dishes had to thoroughly washed before we could even use. Upon calling management for issues with TV they just sent housecleaning over to vacuum up the larvae as well as live moths.
I can handle moths, but it was a total infestation which caused them to be every where and in everything.
This was a splurge vacation rental for me and my girlfriends and quite frankly I was embarrassed for I was the one who picked this location.
The location of the property like I said was wonderful, but I would have a difficult time referring this property to any of my friends or family.

Good place and communication
The host was easy to communicate with and flexible to our travel related issues. The property is nice. It did need us to drive a golf cart to go to town everytime. Walking wasn't an option. Besides that the stay was great and hosts were super nice.

Location, Views and Value
We loved everything about this property. The open concept, two balconies and the views. It was close to the harbor which was important to us as our kids played basketball and volleyball. There are a lot of stairs to walk up but we didn’t mind. The only challenge was pulling up our luggage. The place had extra bedding and pillows for the pull out and plenty of towels. Kitchen had all the utensils and cookware you will need. Would definitely be staying here again!

Family Getaway with Friends
We had a wonderful weekend with friends at this lovely home perched on the hillside overlooking Catalina harbor. The view was to die for! Walking distance to everything and a porch that just begs you to sit and read the paper with coffee or cocktail in hand. Would definitely recommend.

Scenic view, good location
Nice spot with a view. A quick walk from where Catalina Express docks. There's a Vons about a 10 mins away. Only downside is not having golf carts so add a few hundred to your stay if you plan to stay here and want to look around.

Great location within walking distance of everything
Beautiful location with great view to the harbor and a quick walk into the center of Avalon. Nice space with one bedroom on each side of the house, giving everyone some private space, along with lots of room to hang out inside and out. Self checkin and checkout were easy, with clear instructions from the host.

Great views but serious cleaning issues
This property has gorgeous view and 2 balconies and a great location. There are 50 steps up and down to get there, so be aware. We were very concerned at the lack of cleaning. The bathroom counters were not cleaned and had marks and dirt from previous occupants personal items. The shower had not been cleaned and had dirt marks. The pillow shams were filthy compared to the quilts. The bedding was sub standard with cheap sheets, blankets, towels etc. There was not one single kleenex box in the unit. We found dirty coffee mugs in the cabinet and other dirty items. They really need to get quality control with their cleaning issues. Upon checking out I noticed the instructions to unload the dishwasher before leaving in the morning, which explains why former occupants are rushing to check out and quickly rinsing dishes and putting them away. Very serious, especially during a pandemic. There's a very outdated sound system that none of us could use and a small size tv. I also had trouble reaching a live person to talk to at the management co. and was on long hold times with no return calls. Let's hope they get their act together, because the view from this balcony are beautiful.

Spectacular view
This was a very nice and convenient location to stay at. The view is absolutely incredible, and the balcony provides a great place to sit and enjoy it. Its a short (uphill) walk from the ferry, and about 2 minute walk from anything you might want to do. Biggest thing to keep in mind is the ~50 stairs you need to go up/down to get into the apartment.

Great location with amazing views.
Great place to stay. Walking distance to everything. Views were amazing with a lot of outdoor space. Two living rooms gives you plenty of space for everyone. Great big kitchen to cook in and a washer and dryer was wonderful. Beds were ok, could used better linens and towels. Only downside was the there was quite a bit of mold in the bathrooms and showers and sinks didn’t drain well. Things that can be easily fixed. Just overall thorough cleaning of the property would make this a gem!

Great stay
We had such a relaxing stay. The views are breathtaking - we spent so much of our time just relaxing on the porch overlooking the town and harbor. We were so happy in the home we opted to order in one night to enjoy our space. VERY easy walk to town. If you are OK with carrying your bags, save yourself the $15 cab ride and walk to the home from the harbor. I would definitely recommend this property!

Gorgeous deck and views!
This property is amazing! There are three decks you can enjoy and the view of the waterfront is not reflected properly in photos - it's gorgeous! The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the layout, which is nice from a privacy perspective. It is light and sunny and there is a lot of space. The property owner checked in with us as we left to make sure we enjoyed our stay and to request feedback. The property management company is extremely professional and well-run. It gave us a lot of confidence that our trip would run smoothly. This may be taken care of in the future, but we were happy we brought our own laundry detergent and wine opener, as the property did not have these two items. Honestly, after walking around Catalina for three days I was more and more convinced that we stumbled upon a hidden gem. So beautiful and I've already recommended this place to two other couples. Thank you!

Uplifting Retreat!
Our family just returned relaxed, refreshed and inspired from a four-night stay in this beautiful retreat. The view from both living areas, kitchen, two patios and master bedroom is awe-inspiring, we simply could not get enough! The kitchen is well-provisioned and the entire unit is meticulously clean and well-appointed with comfortable yet functional furnishings. The location is ideal: close to the heart of Avalon's action, but perched along the hill to feel peaceful and at ease. We can't wait to return during warm weather, however with so many wonderful windows you get all of the benefit of being outside but with the cozy warmth of a great heater and couches! This would be a great unit to visit during any season—a real treat.

Wonderful Stay and Gorgeous Views!
My family of six (three couples) recently spent 3 nights at this lovely home. The home is nicely furnished, very comfortable and quiet at night. The deck overlooks the bay and provides gorgeous views. You can watch the boats arrive and depart. It is an easy walk from the rental office and the ferry and within walking distance of everything in Avalon. My family loved this home, so we highly recommend it for a stay in Avalon!
