This place was authentic and fully functional for a group ski get away. Scott was so helpful and responsive, he met us at check in to orient us to the chalet and checked in to ensure everything was available. The view from the hot tub is true mountain country. Thank you Scott we will be back.

The house in conveniently located 10 minutes from town and 20 minutes from the ski hill. We came with 7 guys that each got their own bed. There are 4 separate bedrooms and three full baths. The house was well equipped with everything anyone could need to enjoy their stay. The owners live nearby and are very helpful and friendly. We all loved the place and would highly recommend it for large groups, friends or family.

We had an awesome stay at the Begbie House. Scott was great to deal with, it was easy to get in touch with him and he was quick to respond. He made sure we had everything we needed and really made an effort to ensure the place was prepped and ready for our stay. The house and property were beautiful. The place is even larger and nicer than the photos show. Would definitely recommend the place for a visit in any season, though it looks particularly primed as a sweet rental during the ski season.

We came to ski and the home was a perfect respite when we came down from the slopes. It is a beautiful, natural beam construction with high ceilings and open space. Great areas and furniture for dining, relaxing and games. Good deck and location for grilling even in the winter. Great hot tub convenient to enter and enjoy. Owners were very welcoming, helpful and attentive.

Our group recently stayed at Begbie house for our annual ski trip and we had an excellent experience using this location as a home base for our ski trip at Revelstoke. We typically rent larger houses for our annual ski trip and this location was perfect. I'd recommend booking early as most solid accommodation off-hill is in high demand/limited supply and seems to fill up early from what we saw (think we booked ~June/July for the upcoming year). We interacted with Scott throughout our trip and Scott was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. This house is very conveniently located a quick 5 min drive to downtown and another easy 5-10 to Revelstoke mountain. The house is very large and has lots of room to spread out whether a small or larger group. The house sits well back from the road on a very large private lot with no neighbors nearby. The private hot tub was perfect and the views from the hot tub, upper deck and main room in the house are outstanding. The kitchen is large and well set up with everything you might need. It was great that everyone had a separate room for this trip with 5 guys; the 5th bedroom is a large open loft room with king bed + ensuite + 2 separate doubles on each side of the loft. This house can easily accommodate families who wish to spread out a bit over the rooms located on 3 floors of the house. We really appreciated that this house is very well set up for ski trips with a great indoor, heated mud room/storage room near the parking area for quick unload/load-up (even boot driers/plenty of hooks to hang & dry out and ski gear). We have rented some places that don't really take storage needs into account. Some previous reviews mentioned low wifi connectivity but we didn't experience any issues between wifi/regular cellular service in this location. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again for a future trip. Thanks again Scott!

The house is wonderful, it was perfect for our stay. Scott went above and beyond for us. The power went out after a massive snowfall the morning of our departure and he was immediately there with a generator, water and clearing the snow from the driveway. He also let us stay until the roads opened. Extremely gracious host. We would come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

A great place for friends to get together, eat well, play fooseball, and rest up for the next day of skiing. A short drive from town or the mountain. Warm and very well appointed. Highly recommended.

Exactly the style of home we were looking for. Timberframe. Perfect size. Spotless. Great mountain view. Same view from the top of the mountain! Everyone loved the hot tub. Well stocked kitchen. Thanks for the beer and wine!! I'm sure you've heard enough about the kitchen sink. : ) Scott was superb. Missed meeting Michelle. Missed a true wood burning fireplace and hearth to gather 'round. Never lit the wood stove. We took the loft king bed, so didn't have the master bath, but our choice. Never slept so well. Close to everything but in the forest like we like it! Would have enjoyed bringing Nelly (exceptionally behaved Shepard), but do understand. Will definitely be back! Thanks Scott and Michelle! Happy New Year! P&C

Begbie House was the ideal location for our ski vacation - easy access for touring to the fingers, and just a few minutes' drive to downtown and the hill. The house had plenty of space for 7 of us, and was cozy and luxurious at the same time. Scott and Michelle made everything easy for the duration of the stay. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in Begbie House in 2018 for around a week. The house was ideal for a large group of us. It's well laid out, cozy, contains great amenities and was an all-round joy to stay in. Half of our group skied the hill, which was about 14 minutes away. The other half were heli-skiing, and the house is near several of the operations. Town was around seven minutes away (in heavy snow). For me, I must preferred being just out of town. We had our own space, a very large pad and wonderful views (including from the hot tub). Just a word about the owners - they really lovely and very helpful - adjusted the hot tub to our requirements and even cleared the snow off our very large driveway. This was my second trip to Revelstoke, but the first to this property. If they will have me back, I'm going to stay again :).

We truly enjoyed our stay at Begbie House. The place is even better than pictures on website. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of games and movies to enjoy. The view from the upper deck is breathtaking and we very much enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit! Scott and Michelle are amazing hosts offering a warm welcome on arrival. This is definitely a place we would recommend and we will be back!

This place is awesome! It's a beautiful spacious wood home, and it has been very well taken care of. There is an expansive main floor with plenty of room to kick back after a day of skiing. The kitchen is modern and well-equipped with everything you need to make a feast. The beds are super comfortable. The whole house and the outdoor hot-tub have un-obstructed views of Mt. Begbie. Scott and Michelle were attentive hosts who made sure we settled in well, and very thoughtfully had a welcome package for us! Great value and highly recommended!

The house was perfect. Comfortable beds with nice linens. Great towels for the bathrooms and hot tub. Very well equipped kitchen. Quiet setting just a short drive to town or the mountain. Revelstoke is big mountain skiing and will satisfy beginners up to expert. Great homeowners to deal with. Our group is hoping to come back for another trip.

This was our second year in a row renting Begbie House and it was excellent again. We were a group of 8 guys and it was great that everyone had their own bed. The kitchen is very well equipped, the new bbq works very well, it has lots of big TV's and the hot tub is great. Scott and Michelle provide an extremely high level of service and it's very much appreciated. The only suggestion for improvement is that the place really could use a faster wifi connection as it can be a bit cumbersome. Other than that we only have positive things to say and we will definitely be back in the future. Thanks again for a great stay!

The Begbie house is beautiful and only a 10 minute drive to Revelstoke. Scott is a wonderful host and made sure our needs were addressed. This is our 2nd stay here. Last year we asked if there was a poker set in the house and within the hour Scott dropped one off to us. The house is large with multiple rooms and beds, hot tub, BBQ, foosball table, Xbox 360, and multiple TV's. The room in the basement level is set up for drying ski boots and clothing. The only negative is the speed of the internet. High speed access would be a welcome addition.

Scott and Michelle were very easy going and accommodating during our stay. Clean house, bedrooms and bathrooms. Enough space to fit a group of 8 guys and a well thought out floor plan throughout. I would change nothing. This is our second trip to Revelstoke and we have stayed at the Begbie House both times...we will be back again soon :)

Where to begin? There's nothing I can think of that would have made our stay better. The cabin, Scott & Michelle, the location - everything was better than we could have imagined. But you probably want more details... Note: We were a number of couples, some with kids/babies, staying for a few days to ski and spend time together. The Cabin When you first enter the cabin, you're immediately struck by the beautiful wood and metalwork - the cabin is a work of art that the owners should be proud of! In terms of sleeping arrangements, 3 great bedrooms are on the lower floor, each with queen-sized beds. One of them is large enough that if you wanted to put a mattress on the floor and have the kids sleep with you there, you could. Another bedroom is on the main floor and also offers sufficient privacy and a queen-sized bed. The top floor is an open-air loft with views to the living area below, and contains a queen-sized bed as well as two smaller beds (again, perfect for a couple and their kids assuming no one is staying up too late on the main floor). The main floor is fantastic and has plenty of space with a kitchen, dining area, and effectively two living rooms (and TVs). We had kids and babies rolling around in walkers and there was more than enough room to allow them to have a great time without driving everyone else crazy (note that we had to block off the staircase for safety - if you're in the same boat I'd suggest bringing a baby gate to do the same). The open area approach makes the entire experience social but still cozy. There is a deck with a BBQ off the main floor that overlooks the rest of the (gorgeous!) property. The whole place is warmed by a pellet stove that keeps the entire house toasty warm. The hot tub on the bottom floor is amazing for post-ski sessions to warm up and relax your sore muscles. The Hosts They live on the property next door (still quite far away because the properties are big!), and Scott was over every day, sometimes multiple times, to re-fill the hot tub and clear snow. We probably got almost 2 feet of snow while we were there so this was really important! Scott was super friendly and welcoming, and was great in dealing with a small bit of damage that happened, probably thanks to one of the kids. They are total professionals and great people to boot. The Location Probably 5-10 mins from the main part of town, and no problem getting to the ski hill. All good. Overall: A+ experience, highly recommended

Great location just minutes out of town to enjoy peace, quite and privacy in nature. The open timber frame design provided a nice warm feel and had plenty of room to sleep 8 people in comfortable beds. Everything you need is included at a very affordable price. The owners were great to deal with and were very accommodating with clear communication. We had a pleasant all around experience staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone. We would definately stay here again in the future.

We rented the house for a mountain biking weekend in August. The house was immaculate with everything we needed for our stay. Michelle & Scott provided a wonderful welcome basket and even some bug spray and water toys for our young son. The house is very close to the MacPherson trail network so we could ride direct to the trails from the house. We would not hesitate to recommend this vacation home and are looking forward to coming back in the future.

We had an amazing time staying at the Begbie house and I highly recommend it to everyone. It over delivered. Scott and Michelle were excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Communication with them was very good and timely. The space was very conducive for the eight of us guys to hang out in the main room watching TV and having big family style dinners while also allowing us to all have our own beds. The kitchen was appointed with very high end equipment including a good bbq which made cooking easy. The hot tub was clean and well maintained with an excellent private view. All of the bathrooms were updated, clean and had more than enough towels. There is plenty of parking space and the ski equipment drying room worked out really well. We had a great 6 night stay here with 7 guys on our annual ski trip . The house is clean, well equipped and comfortable . We enjoyed the hot tub , the fireplaces keep it cozy and the kitchen is large enough for several chefs to work at the same time . All the beds were good and the bathrooms large , clean and modern . Scott and Michelle were available to help us with the planning of our trip and made great suggestions where we could find what we needed in advance and were there to greet us and show us how everything worked . We would definitely return and an added bonus was Scott predicted great snow conditions and he delivered. We would recommend this place to friends and family .

Timber frame open concept with beautiful finishing and everything you need in a vacation home. Location is great If you want to be away from it all but still not far from anything you'll need. Lots of space for larger groups, beautiful mountain view with lots of space for parking. Open area on bottom is great for drying winter gear with plenty of room for hanging. Overall beautiful place that I would recommend to anyone staying in the area.
