Beautiful house with beautiful yard including visiting deer, The house was a little further from town than I realized but just had to plan to take the time to get places . The house is well stocked with everything you need except for condiments which seems standard after Covid. The deck overlooking yard is a great place to relax and BBQ.

We always prefer to stay a bit out of town, more in nature, and this house was perfect. It has everything you could want and more.

Property is beautiful and quiet with lovely views and remote feel while still being close enough to Durango. We mostly used the large kitchen (really nice!) and the two main floor bedrooms. The large king size master (which was very nice) was too far away from the other rooms to work for our family with very young children. Hot tub was nice and easy to access.

This home was in a great neighborhood. We were a family of 6 and we had plenty of room for all of us. Loved the foosball table and dart game. Rick was so kind to shovel the snow for us in the morning. We really appreciated his kind gesture. Would love to stay again. Loved the hot tub too.

What a wonderful escape to a beautiful home in such a serene setting! The home is spacious and clean, cozy, welcoming and just dreamy! The perfect stress-free getaway. I would definitely stay here again and again!

The house is great, very spacious and well taken care of. The kitchen living room area is a great place to spend time making memories. I would recommend some blinds, it gets a little creepy at night when its pitch black outside but the lights are on inside. Overall everything was great and the host communicated well.

Quiet, secluded,and clean. Also they had mule deer that would hang out.

Beautiful location! The house was immaculate! Well equipped! The host was very easy to work with. Easy check-in and check-out process. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here for our ski vacation.

Our stay was everything we hoped it would be, very clean and homely short distance to town, had everything we needed.

We loved this property! It had everything we needed and more, stocked with all the little amenities like lotion and bath salts. Our family of five relaxed here while we spent a few days skiing at Purgatory resort which was an easy drive. The hot tub was great and game room kept the kids happy.

Once i got the check in figured out the stay went very smoothly! House was clean and kept, we found our rooms comfortable, house was spacious. Views were incredible, saw deer right outside the front window. Neighborhood was quiet and house easy to find. Hot tub was ready to go and relaxing, just ask for more towels to have for hot tub then showers but not hard make work. Would definitely stay again as it's a beautiful property with a quick drive to wherever you want to go adventure. Thabks for the stay!

We stayed two nights and had the most wonderful time! There were baby gates placed strategically that was so comforting with toddlers running around. The house was so beautiful, cozy, and clean! The photos dont do the house justice. We loved all of the windows to enjoy the snow and the owners made sure the walkways were cleared for our arrival. Also the upstairs master bedroom was huge- pleanty of room for our two kids to stay in there with us. The dowbstairs master was also bigger than we realized too and the third room had two beds perfect for our friends kids! Lots of space:) Would 100% stay here again!

This property was everything that was promised. The house is beautiful and able to accommodate a large group. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We loved the house but we loved the setting even more: the fenced yard with a lawn and boulders and aspen trees amid pines was just what we needed to get away from it all. The dogs loved everything too. We are eager to go there again

Our stay was amazing. This property is beyond amazing…you don’t have enough stars to rate it appropriately. It is accurately described in the property description but neither nor the photos nor the verbal description can really capture the beauty of the property or the location. When we arrived the view from the enormous balcony was enough to justify the cost, which is low for the value of the experience. Rooms are enormous. The kitchen is amazing, and because this house is obviously a home as well as a sometime rental property it is truly fully furnished. The outdoor space, with the amazing views, almost makes you feel that the outdoors are encroaching into the home. We had daily stare-downs with the deer and the wild turkeys who blissfully walked into the back yard right below the deck! The artwork inside the home is wonderful, all of the appliances were brand new, beds were comfortable, linens good quality. It was just the perfect place. I know I’m gushing. This place deserves it. About the only complaint I have…and I’m only bringing this up because I feel I ought to have at least one is that the instructions on the use of the electronics for the entertainment could be for more expansive. It’s kind of a complicated system. I would go back in a New York minute.

Property is exactly as advertised. The fall colors were popping and we had a wonderful time. Town was only a few minutes away and we really enjoyed our dinner at Fired Up Pizza. We also enjoyed making dinner at the house. It is so quiet and peaceful. Lots of hiking trails close by. Strongly recommend Gudy's Rest if you like awesome views!!

We found this house to be above our expectations.This home had every item we needed and more.The owner had stocked up all bathrooms with every item anyone would ever need.The home was extremely clean and well taken care of.The only negative,and not a biggy,is the lack of bath towels.The kitchen had every kitchen item anyone would ever need.We loved the location and had a great visit.We recommend this home.

This property is a rare gem! It is located 15 minutes from downtown Durango and is easy to get to and from. Rick was very proactive and responsive in providing updates about the property and in providing the best directions for getting to the property. The house is located in a private development and provides a secluded and peaceful location in the hills - a very restful and wooded location. The house is in beautiful condition and is fully stocked with all the things that renters might need. The kitchen is ideally setup and excellent for our needs as we generally cook-in on our trips. The house is spacious and in immaculate condition. As a bonus, Rick has a number of this photographic works framed in the house. He has an exceptional eye and we enjoyed contemplating an appreciating them. If we are to travel in the Durango area in the future, we will definately seek to contact Rick first.

A lovely setting, with a beautiful fenced yard and inviting porch to spend unwinding. The home is stocked well. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal and plenty of space to move around.

This is one of the BEST properties we've ever stayed at! Absolutely perfect in every way. Rick is a fantastic host. The well stocked home is convenient to restaurants, but we have no idea why you would ever want to leave. Thank you ... we will be back.

We've stayed at many rental homes- this is one of them that we could imagine buying to live in one day. The home itself is artfully done. The property is gorgeous. Country living- but super close to Durango. Our family of 4 (two kids under 7) and another couple had plenty of room. The kitchen was spacious and great for entertaining. Hot tub was a treat. Owner was helpful and clearly knows how to make the experience easy. Will definitely stay here again!

I can’t say enough about this house and it’s host. The house was immaculate, every kitchen utensil that’s needed is there, pots, pans, gorgeous views, and more! Thank you so much for such a wonderful time for me and my family.

Nicest rental we’ve stayed in, in 40 years.

The house was well designed with a very comfortable layout and well fit-out. The kitchen was stocked with high end appliances and utensils. We enjoyed being out of the city and enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkey in the yard below the deck. Rick's photography was throughout the house and it was fantastic. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Durango is halfway between our scattered family and this home was perfect for us. It sits on a beautiful secluded piece of the mountain, yet only a short 15 min drive to town. The home has two masters, each with an en-suite bathroom, one on the main floor, the other on the 2nd level, which also has a game room complete with foosball and dart board. Much detail has been put into the home with lots of space for privacy and great shared space. Our favorite place: the large deck!

Beautiful, comfortable, roomy home in the pines outside Durango. The deck is where we 'hung out', the kitchen is fully equipped and quite easy to work in, Bedrooms are very attractive and comfortable. highest recommendation!
