Better bed this time, better type of room

No water in bathroom in the morning

We have decided not to stay in this place considering that we had an extra guest and that the only triple room they could offer us at the time was nothing close to a place you would feel in safety for your health. It appears that one building has very poor maintained bedrooms while others are fine. But the smell, lightning and the general state of maintenance of the room we were offered made us go.

I have already give my opinion and haven't recieve any feedback. I am very disapointed

No value for the cost. They charge twice the price I saw when booked and breakfast has nothing interesting

It has a nice location. The complementary breakfast is good. Good internet service. It's a cozy place to have a good night sleep and then getting out and do sightseeing.

No mini fridge.

I made a reservation by Booking, with the expectation that the hotel will comply with my expectation, but at all. I arrived at the hotel Sunday 30 april 2023, at 00.30 hour. I met the frontdesk employee. When I gave him my reservation and the reservation of my friends we got a very disappointed surprise. The employee began to tell us so many excuses. The prices were completely different and the rooms that we made the reservations were completely different. The frontdesk employee claim us to pay immediately, but the swipe machine wasn't working. My friends had to go to a ATM machine to pin the cash money, while they couldn't pin all the amount, because the max limit for cash advance in the Dominican Republic is 50.000 pesos. Finally my friends paid a part of the amount of the booking. And in my case, the employee accepted my credit card. Sunday 30 april 2023, at 04,00 hour we could enter our respectively rooms. The price of my reservation: For example in accordance with my booking I had to pay US$363.15 including taxes, but I paid "Thank you for purchasing with Maduro & Curiel’s Bank Credit Card ending with 9121 at MALECON ROOMS, for US$ 463.10 at 9:10:49" This is the confirmation I received of my bank. All by all, this was my worst trip to the Dominican Republic. I will never go to this hotel again. For me this is a swindle. Regards Reginald Schotborgh

The staff doesn't want customer to even pay before the check in ( I think this is so weird!) The room is too small There are too many stairs before arriving on a room in this hotel

The service room was very poor, I can’t believe it. We ran out of toilet paper; there was no light in the bathroom. the fridge sucks ….

The only thing I liked was the service of the night receptionist, he was a man and he was very kind. Later I did not like the hotel, because everything was deteriorated and old.

I did not like the room, access to it was very uncomfortable. on the other hand the breakfast was not well prepared and the service of the women in the kitchen were not friendly.

They didn't give me the room I reserved and paid. I ended up having a room with no windows or natural light, but they still charged me for the suite with the city view. I asked several times if they'd change my room, and they didn't. After 1 day of staying, they were about to charge me again the same price for the 2 nights I paid saying that the price for the room is 60 dollars (and when I made the reservation it was 60 for the 2 nights). Overall, it was a really bad experience.

The staff was very friendly and helpful even with a language barrier. The hotel is clean and very pretty.

The rooms where a bit smaller than pictured and expected and bathrooms were smaller than expected. location is sortie far from the capital making it harder to maneuver.

THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE BUT THEY COULD NOT HELP ME.

MY FIRST NIGHT I COULD NOT TAKE A SHOWER IT WAS BROKEN, WHEN ME AND MY HUSBAND WOKE UP WE HAD BITES ALL OVER OUR ARMS FROM BED BUGS AND OUR SHOWER WAS BROKEN. THE SECOND ROOM THEY MOVED US TO THE BED HAD THE BEDSPRINGS COMING OUT OF THE BED IT WSS JUST HORRIBLE.

Good location, walking distance from many places, clean property.

Limited breakfast options, the staff did not take any measures to fix non-working light in our room during our stay (even though they promised to o so).
