Etwas vom Schöneren&Intressantesten was wir je erlebt haben ❣️ Wer zeit hat und in der nähe ist, dem rate ich unbedingt zu einem aufenthalt im smiling gecko, mind. 2 nächte. Die anlage ist wunderschön, die khmer bungalows ein traum 😍 Für uns sehr spannend die führung über das gelände und das highlight für uns, mit daniel, der uns geduldig unsere fragen beantwortete, die schule zu besuchen. Wir werden definitiv über smiling gecko erzählen und diesen besuch für immer in erinnerung behalten. Ein highlight war natürlich auch das wunderbare essen im fine dine restaurant bei maryia, die uns so herzlich in ihrem restaurant empfangen hat und uns die khmer küche näher gebracht hat. Danke für dieses tolle erlebnis🩷

Wunderbares Resort mit schweizer Touch beim Frühstück. Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant. Die im Khmer Stil gebauten Bungalows sind sehr gemütlich und grosszügig. Auch empfehlenswert ist die Führung über das ausgedehnte Farmland mit Fischzucht und vielen interessanten Zuchtprojekten.

Die Anreise ist recht lang von Pnom Penh.

The mattress was a bit on the hard side.

The pool is fantastic (small detail really but it's nice to have a deep end 3m at a resort hotel). The spa treatments were 5 star & and a the food was exceptional.

While the pool bar staff were very friendly and proficient in cocktail making, they could have approached us to see if we needed anything during long stints at the pool.

As always, a wonderful relaxing stay at Farmhouse Smiling Gecko. The food, the house, the pool, the staff... everything was perfect!

Overall experience was good except for one thing. While I stayed at this place on April 15th, during Khmer New Years Holidays, all the books are occupied and staff were very busy. Because of this, they could not prepare a la carte menu for dinner and there was no choice but to take expensive buffet menu. I am not happy with the way they made a decision like this without informing this to customers in advance. I hope they could properly manage this kind of issue next time. or maybe you should avoid staying at this place at a peak period.
