Amazing spot on the North Shore - great location for being right in the middle of the main surf spots. Host Yuki was amazing - she's really thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable - from cruiser bikes to beach chairs, to a really well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Property felt really safe and secure and was really peaceful - all you could hear at night was the roar of the surf at the end of the road. Property was clean and spacious, with 2 bedrooms bookending a large lounge / kitchen. The lanai was my favourite spot with large reclining areas, a hammock and a table to dine at and enjoy the beautiful view of lush green gardens, bright blue sky, and the ocean. Highly recommended spot, couldn't find anything to fault!

This property is lovely and we enjoyed it very much. I was a little concerned about being attached to another home but it was a non issue. In fact it was more private and quiet than condos we have rented. The home was very clean and you can hear the waves from the house. Updated and clean i would certainly stay here again. Even traveling by myself, as I do often, I would stay here. Great location and very clean and safe. Property Manager is lovely as well.

Yuki made us feel so welcome, sharing her home with us. She provided detailed photos and instructions. 7 min from beach. Kitchen size perfect for 2-4 guests with outside seating. Yuki was so hospitable and cared that we had a memorable Honeymoon. Thanks Yuki!

Overall the location and proximity to the beach, and food trucks is excellent. The lanai is lovely, and everything was clean. Communication with the host was great, super responsive. Do note that this is the bottom level of a house. That does not bug me normally, but the host lives above and was EXCEPTIONALLY loud. I'm talking screaming and laughing at 10pm every night we were there, slamming drawers, and loud running. There were no children present, this was just her and whichever adults live above. It put me in an awkward spot as she is the host, and I did not want to complain, but it was horrible. One such scream woke me and my senior mother out of a dead sleep. Other than that it was fine, but I would absolutely not rent this place again.

The property over looks Sunset beach. Very quiet and safe. The bicycles were a great way to go down to the beach. AC was awesome and quiet. The owner was a great help with check in and also assisted us with a jump start for our rental vehicle.

The rental had everything we needed. I thought it would be hard to cook without a range, but the hot plate was good and we even made brownies in the toaster oven. It’s an easy walk down the hill to Sunset beach.

We spent a week at Yuki’s apartment & loved it — even though we are not surfers. It wasn’t fancy (no air conditioning, for example, but we never missed it with the breeze & shade, and only a two-burner induction stove-plate, which was perfectly adequate for simple meals), but the view is lovely & rural, the place is tastefully decorated, and it’s about a block to beach access for Sunset Beach (gorgeous). The North Shore doesn’t have great swimming in the winter, because of the powerful waves that surfers love, so we wound up going up to the Turtle Bay Resort a lot in the late morning. (Bring your own shade! The tikis provided are for guests only.) We did day-trips down the eastern shore, to the Waimea Valley arboretum, to Haleiwa, even to the fairly hokey Polynesian Cultural Center. A lovely week to balance out Waikiki’s more urban environment.

Loved our stay at sunset beach! Everything was perfect. Everything we needed was provided by the host. Great communication and beautiful location. Would happily visit again.

Big frickin waves

I'm reticent to write this review because I want to keep this rental all to myself! This is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful property on the North Shore. The lanai suite is the bottom level of the home, but don't fear b/c you'll never hear a thing. The apartment is so quiet - truly some of the best of the best sleep I have gotten in about a decade. You can see the stars from bed, and you will be lulled to sleep by the sound of birds. The lanai itself is such a fantastic place to hang out if you need a break from the sun. You can see the ocean from the lanai! The hammock is also something really special, especially around sunset. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might want to cook easy meals. The bathroom is a good size and totally functional. There is also an outdoor shower for sand. The washer/dryer was super helpful for a long stay. The rental is a five minute walk towards the beach. Yuki has bikes available, if you would rather pedal. The Sunset Shack is about a seven minute walk, and Ted's Bakery is about a ten minute walk. This is a VERY nice, safe, and quiet area along Sunset Beach. If you love the North Shore, you know that all neighborhoods are not created equal. This one is perfect. Yuki is a very kind and very responsive host. I will return just as soon as I can. Mahalo!

Everything about this rental was amazing. Yuki was fantastic. The North Shore was a beautiful, quiet, fantastic place to stay. If you love authenticity and a spot that reflects how locals live, stay here. Along with gorgeous beaches, amazing surf, turtles, monk seals and various birds and lovely people. We highly recommend this area and the gorgeous rental to everyone who is laid back and loves experiences that are true and non-touristy. And Yuki’s dog Gypsy is adorable. Thank you Yuki!

We’re a married couple who like traveling to beautiful places off the beaten path, and Yuki’s place provided the quiet, exquisite getaway we sought. Laid back and yet secure. We’ll miss the distant roar of the breakers.

This is a lovely and private accommodation. It was ideal for two adults with separate bedrooms. Very close to all the north shore beaches. It is quiet and well maintained and has views of the ocean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

Yuki, was an incredible host and we loved our stay here. This was our 4th stop on our Hawaiian honeymoon adventure and my husband and I both agreed that Yuki’s place was the most relaxing. It’s located right across from the most amazing beaches and has great local food all around. We did some exploring around the island and we always happy to come back and relax. Was a perfect place for what we were looking for. We were in walking distance to the beach, had a view of the ocean and a nice patio to chill out on in the evenings.

Property was as described, clean, and close to Sunset Beach. Yuki was very responsive and a great host. We loved the general vibe of this property, the ease of access to various North Shore landmarks, and the price point. Property easily fits four people or two couples. Two thumbs up!

Es entstehen keine weiteren Kosten. Die Wohnung ist hochwertig und voll ausgestattet inmitten einer beeindruckenden Anlage. Besonders gefreut hatte uns auch der außergewöhnlich schöne Blumenstrauß in der Wohnung. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder zurück.

The property is beautiful. Big yard in front and views to the ocean and sunset. Great house, comfy beds, good shower and kitchen utensils. Yuki was there every time we neaded her help.

Yuki was great! We loved riding bikes to the different beaches in the area and had a great stay.

This was my favorite rental for so many reasons. It was clean, comfortable and felt fresh and modern. The beds were comfortable, so sleep was restful. Lots of screen doors and windows provided cool breezes. Our favorite thing was sitting on the lanai and talking. The lanai has great furniture to sit on, eat at, and there was a hammock that we enjoyed as well. Great views of the ocean! It's an easy walk to Sunset Beach and we got food from Ted's Bakery several times. The kitchen is nicely equipped. Yuki was communicative and helpful, but not intrusive. She provided beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes! We LOVED our stay and if we make it back to the north shore, we would stay here again.

Our family of 2 adults and two teenagers stayed at Yuki's place for 5 nights and it was amazing. Beautiful property, clean, comfortable and easy access to beach with bikes provided by Yuki. The house is spacious despite the one bathroom but offers a stunning lani(porch/verandah) with ocean glimpses and sunset. Its very private and surrounded by lush gardens. The kitchen is functional and there are great food options out at the local food trucks near by or Foodland has all food/grocery needs covered and its a short drive away. Gypsy the dog is adorable and always welcoming. Thank you Yuki for your great hospitality, we will tell our friends back in Australia all about this stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights but wish I booked longer. Yuki who owns it is so lovely I msg her ever day with questions and there was no problem replying back to me. Great spot great yard the best beds I have ever slept in. We felt so safe there and it was great we had a car as we were in and out ever day. I just wish we stayed there longer instead of going to turtle bay resort. Thankyou Yuki for an awesome experience of your beautiful home we will be back very soon
