Bienvenido a nuestra cuarta propiedad de alquiler vacacional. Esta casa de 4 dormitorios está ubicada en Great River Road (anteriormente incluida en VRBO como River Road Hideout). Somos nuevos propietarios a partir de febrero de 2019 y estamos entusiasmados de poner nuestro giro especial en la casa.
Somos dueños del Grandview Motel por más de 13 años y tenemos una excelente idea de lo que los huéspedes esperan. Nos enorgullecemos de proporcionar un lugar inmaculado y acogedor para pasar sus valiosas vacaciones.

A few of us girls got together for a fun bachelorette weekend! Hung out by the fire and watched the sunset while playing games Friday. Went to Prairies du chein Saturday and went to the little bars in Ferryville Saturday jight! It was a perfect time, low key, just what our bride wanted!

This house is adorable and fits 8 very comfortably. The communication with the owners was great and I would highly recommend this house to anyone that’s staying in the area. The view of the river is fantastic.

My husband and I stayed in this location for a weekend away and really enjoyed our stay. The decor was as seen in the pictures, cute and colorful! The outside screened in porch is about 10 ft away from the main house. It is actually located next to the house, not behind it. There are about 14 or 15 concrete, flat stairs that take you to another 2 stairs at the entrance of the house. There are also 2 to get into the screened porch. Three of the bedroom are on the 2nd floor. The one with the king size bed and the bathrooms are on the 1st floor. We looked at the bedrooms upstairs but didn't go back up since it was just the 2 of us. The kitchen is nicely stocked with cooking accessories. We did have to leave a frozen pizza behind because the oven didn't work. We did not call the owners about this but I'm sure they would have responded, their motel was just down the street. The terrain in the front of the house, next to the sidewalk was planted with all different flowers and plants to attract butterflies and bees! Yay! It will look beautiful this summer when everything fills in and blooms! The view of the river is great! There are 2 large windows in the house that look out at it. The sidewalk and road and probably 15 feet below so you don't see much there. You can see the trains but they really aren't very loud. We didn't have the TV or radio but it would probably cover the sound. The "porch" is a great hangout! There are a couple outdoor chairs, a couch, footstools, and a taller outdoor table with 4 stools. The hot tub was very clean and relaxing! Our only problem was that we had to leave! P.S. Check out he burgers at the Swing Inn next door. Basic but delicious!

This property had very eclectic decor in a spacious setting with a great outdoor screened seating area that provided fantastic views of the Mississippi River. Just be aware there were many steps and stairs throughout that might be daunting for some senior citizens.

We loved this house! Great space for grownups to hang (screened porch) while kids snacked and played in the house. The beautiful/fun décor enchanted us all. House had all we needed for a great stay. Lots of river fun and good hikes!

Relaxing Stay
We very much enjoyed the outdoor screened-in room. It was perfect for hanging out, watching sunsets, playing games. We made all of our meals at the property and found everything we could possibly need to cook, bake and grill.
Bedrooms were comfortable and the design house was very much a conversation piece for our group.

Charming getaway location
Our family loved staying in this charming getaway! The views were fantastic, and being able to walk down the street for hot chocolate at the gas station or a hot meal at the diner next door was incredibly convenient! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our Ferryville retreat
There was not one thing that we didn't love.....The hosts were fantastic and sooo very helpful......The home was incredible....The Mississippi River was so beautiful to relax and enjoy, in the screened in gathering place with the fire pit. And the home was completely furnished with more than what was needed.....I truly didn't want to leave....And i find myself thinking about it more and more.....It was AWESOME..!!!!

Bike trip
Great location for a bike trip. Took some day trips and went sightseeing. Thought there would be more color, but must be too soon. Maybe would need to wait another week. Still beautiful country. This property is beautiful, overlooking the Mississippi river. Very well maintained and great amenities.

Colorfully comfortable
Excellent all around!
Great location, new HVAC system, laundry, furniture, and furnishings. Very colorful surroundings in each room. Comfortable home to relax in and view the river after a long day of motorcycle touring.
We choose a different location in Wisconsin every year for our annual ride. This location and accommodations did not disappoint.
We also enjoyed the screened in porch very much.

We just finished spending Memorial weekend at Shoreview in Ferryville. We had the best weekend. The house had everything we needed & more. The owners were above the best at helping us with this trip. The view from the amazing screened in room is gorgeous! We are already try to plan our return visit. Can't wait.

The beds were very comfortable, living space just right. Loved the screened porch!! Loved the decor. We had breakfast at the Swing Inn, good food & very good prices.
Took a bit to get used to trains but definitely not a show stopper!

The stairs are a bit tricky because of how the front door swings opens.

our time at river road hideout
Our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. There were a few issues as with anything. Nothing is ever perfect.
In case you aren't aware there is mouse entrance outside and Mr. Mouse was inside. Also the wasps are getting in thru the wall, we think in the bathroom
Some kind of a railing by the door would be a nice safety addition.
Allin all it very nicely fixed up for an older house and very comfortable.

Worked perfect for our Motorcycle trip.
The River Road house worked ideal for our three night stay. We used this as our home base for a motorcycle trip, and enjoyed our stay. The four bedrooms worked out well. The screen porch was perfect for evening relaxing. I would use this location again. There are bars, and restaurants within a short walk. Really, the only negative I have is a small one...the gas grill probably could be upgraded, but we only used it one time. Owners were very quick to respond to the one question I had while we were there. Very nice...I would surely recommend. Thank you!

Mystery Birthday Tour
I had stayed here before with some other people on a Motorcycle run over a year ago. I decided it would be a great place to take the ladies on a Mystery trip. We had a blast and we loved using the screened in porch! There was 8 ladies and we all said we would come back again. I recommended this place.

Boating trip
We had a terrific weekend stay in August and spent most of our Saturday out on the water boating all day. The property was well maintained, and the screened deck was a must, since the Mississippi has a lot of bugs in the summer. I think we spent more time out there, than in the house.....The sunsets were absolutely stunning.........My only concern was that the only parking was on the highway going through town, and I had a large pontoon, but we worked around it, and had a blast. I will certainly rent this place again. Great place for a getaway.

For a group of seniors, it posed some challenges.
We probably would not have chosen this place had we known both bathrooms are on the main level, with none upstairs where the 3 bedrooms are. Navigating steps during the night wasn't enjoyable for us older folks. This probably would be no concern for younger people! We had a few other unexpected surprises that put a bit of a damper on our visit. For the price it was OK

Very lovely!
We were only here a short amount of time due to coming in after our son's wedding. They were very accommodating when they knew this and left a light on inside so we didn't have to walk into an unfamiliar place in the dark. It is easy to find since it's located right on the main highway.
The home is uniquely decorated with a homey feel. Everything was clean and comfortable. The view of the Mississippi River is breath taking!

Very thoughtful, and comfortable
I recommend this property if you want to enjoy a beautiful, close view of Upper Mississippi. And I recommend it if you just need a place to stay. The owners are very organized & accomodating. They gave us all the info to let ourselves in and how to use the place. It was very clean and the air-conditioning was very efficient. There were plenty of towels & tools in the kitchen. Besides the general comfort & charm of the house, our favorite spot was the well done screened in porch; very comfy. I took a nap there!

Everything we expected
Thanks so much for the stay! We were a group of 6 motorcycle riders and it was the perfect respite on the river. Walked to groceries and ice, and cold beverages; walked to the pub for a cold one and a snack. Enjoyed the screen room and the river view! Clean and perfect. Thanks
