Our family stayed at Pleasant Valley for four nights and had such a great time! The scenery was amazing, Susan, Oliver and Betsy were the best hosts. Cabin was gorgeous and stocked with everything we needed. Laundry house was such a great amenity. If you want to stay close to Custer and see all the sights, but enjoy campfires and unwind, stay here! Kids really enjoyed the goats and chickens!!

Hubby & I stay at the cabin in May 2022. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. Communication w/the owner was great. Quiet location. Would definitely recommend for all things to see within a 3 hr drive (that's the max we drove).

Everything about our stay was wonderful. Sunrise and sunset from the porch cannot be beat. Peaceful setting outside of town but not too far.

Loved the charming cabin and deck. We combined relaxing and sightseeing. The cabin proved to be perfect for both! Fun watching the goats and chickens, too.

We had a great get away in SD. My family loved the farm, being able to see and feed the animals. The cabin was cozy for a short stay for my family (6 adults). Sitting outside under the stars was breathtaking and the location of our cabin was perfect for all our attractions.

We had a great time at this property. It was close to all the attractions and nice to come back to our own house. It was very quiet with great landscapes. It was modern, new, clean, and perfect for our family of 4. We would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay at this property again!

Excellent cabin nestled in the Black Hills. Very clean, cozy, and quiet!

We had such a great time in this cozy cabin. Would highly suggest time on the front porch! Waking up to hot air balloons, goats playing, beautiful sunrises coming over the mountains all while enjoying coffee. So peaceful. Our kids loved the loft and spending time telling stories at night by the fire. The highlight of the stay was by far the farm tour! Enjoyed meeting Tom and Susan and learning all about how they raise and care for their animals. Little Guy was our girls favorite goat. Highly suggest the tour!! We hope to make it back soon!!

We were looking for a unique and cozy place to stay for our Black Hills trip and this cabin fit the bill and totally exceeded our expectations. There are only three cabins on location and they overlook the ranch where the goats are kept. We sat and watched their antics from the cabin's amazing porch where we also saw several deer fawns playing in the grass. The surrounding wooded hills add so much to the charm of this wonderful location.The cabin is well appointed and has a kitchen area that has everything you need to prepare meals. The beds were very comfortable and provided a restful night's sleep after a long day in nearby Custer State Park. The Pleasant Valley team was very friendly, knowledgeable of the area and made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this location for couples wishing for a Black Hills getaway or for families with children wanting a secluded place to get close to nature.

My whole family agreed that this was our favorite vacation! It was close enough to activities, yet far enough away for some peace and quiet. We already want to go back. It is all as picture perfect as it looks. I cannot recommend this enough. You will not be disappointed!

We have stayed in so many vrbos and airbnb's over the years, and Pleasant Valley And Farms cabins tops the list!! Wonderful communication, directions, and entry instruction. The cabin far exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, had everything you could need. The porch and fire pit was so inviting. Morning coffee on the porch, so quiet...only the sound of farm animals and birds! One morning there were hot air ballons directly across the road! This cabin is centrally located from many popular destinations, yet right on the outskirts of town allow privacy and quiet. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, devils tower, and jewel cave. Do yourself a favor and book with Pleasant Valley if you're in the area!

We loved our time at Pleasant Valley. In hindsight, we would have stayed here for our whole Black Hills vacation and used it as a base for day trips around the area!

Ideal location, perfect set up.

My husband and I recently stayed at this cabin with our 3 young children. We were all enchanted by this gem the moment we walked in the door (or maybe even before, when we saw the porch overlooking the valley and the fire pit). The cabin is bright, clean, and super charming. The hosts are very welcoming, and their farm was a fun attraction (especially for our kids). The proximity to Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, and other area attractions was great. And the town of Custer was cute. We would definitely recommend this place to family and freinds!!

In case anyone is looking for a place to stay in South Dakota 🏔 we just had the most INCREDIBLE experience here. We stayed for a few days , it’s located in the black hills & close enough to tons of things , but far enough away to enjoy some quiet ♥️ waking up to the goats every morning was probably our favorite part. This small cabin is designed so perfectly to comfortably fit a family of 5-7! I was so surprised with all the spots to sleep. It’s cozy & makes for the perfect getaway from life. Don’t hesitate on booking this place. You will not regret it! The staff Was also really amazing, they have everything you need (we forgot coffee & thankfully she had some for us!) tons of towels , extra sheets & even a spot to purchase firewood ! You’ll love this spot ! We can’t wait to come back!

From beginning to end, this was one of the best rentals I have stayed with. Not only did the team greet us but the owners invited my kids to help feed the goats and learn about the farm. The cabin was brand new and very nice. The loft room was fun for the kids who felt it was "better than camping" (which they do enjoy). Overall, I highly recommend the visit for anyone seeking time with family, a unique cabin experience, or just the opportunity to get away.... Well done!
