Lovely seaside cottage perfect for 2 couples. Lots of kitchen utensils and 2 huge fridges. Great ambience from verandah overlooking bay. A few small issues we had on arrival were quickly resolved by manager. Good alternative to Kingscote and accessible to other parts of island. Lots of wildlife nearby.

Bathroom is rather small, limited storage areas in bedrooms.

Terrific location and the deck was amazing to spend time on. Very comfy bed and accomodation was generally clean.

Cobwebs, dirty windows, kitchen bench near the taps needs attention (very worn and tired), hot water ran out during showering a couple of times.

Perfect location great quiet place for just chilling out.

Only small gripe was the kitchen needs a couple of frypans instead of the old electric one.

The location was great - a stone's throw away from Emu Bay Beach. And Kangaroo Island itself was beautiful - a must for anyone who hasn't been!

The place wasn't especially clean - there was a lot of cobwebs and dead insects/spiders in particular the small bathroom area (which looked like had been there for a long while). Some kitchen utensils weren't that clean, the kitchen knifes were completely blunt and some cooking basics you'd expect (like olive oil etc) wasn't provided. We also didn't appreciate the cleaner arriving 30-45 mins early before check-out and then sitting in her car with her window down, staring at us while we were finishing our packing. That made us feel quite uncomfortable and unfortunately left us with a bad impression of what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

great location, close to the water. Clean tidy property. Had positive interactions with the local wildlife with resident koala in the tree beside the property, woke up kangaroos around the back of the house and briefly saw fairy penguins along the beach less than a minute from the rental

only issue was the hot water didn’t stay hot enough for a full shower

Amazing location and felt like home. We arrived after dark and instantly fell in love with the location and the fairy lights hanging in the front of the house. Inside was very warm and inviting and we felt like we were home.

The shack itself was reasonably clean and decorated nicely. The water was nice and hot and heater worked well on those cold nights. There were two huge fridges, so plenty of space for food and bait or fish. Theres a lovely big dining table with ample space. The linen on the beds was nice and fresh. The view was priceless and breathtaking. The playground is just a stones throw away, which is great for the kids. There's a lovely lawn area out the front and the jetty is a small walk along the path. There's a small deck out the front with plenty of seating to enjoy the beautiful view.

I found the description slightly deceiving. It stated 3 bedroom, however the 3rd bedroom was only accessible from outside. With 2 small children this room was completely unusable. It was very musty, dusty and had no windows and had mice droppings throughout. For older children it would be more suitable. The windows were extremely dirty and there were cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom was more a very small ensuite, not a bathroom. Lights didnt work in one bedroom aswell as the bathroom, despite us changing the light bulbs. There are no laundry facilities. We had already been holidaying for a week prior to staying here and had washing to do, which we weren't able to do. Overall it's a cute, comfortable, little shack, it's just due for a bit of maintenance and a good spring clean.

Wonderful location on the beachfront, we loved having meals and drinks on the front deck! Spacious and well equipped with absolutely everything we needed in the beach house - clean and comfortable - look forward to staying again!

That cleaner should have done under couches and back of beds, founds lots of bits,paper,fluff etc there.
