La playa frente al Arrecife del Caribe se compone de arena blanca, algunas rocas que crean pequeñas piscinas de marea llenas de vida marina. Desde la orilla poco profunda, el agua gradualmente se vuelve más profunda. Es perfecto para nadar, vadear y bucear. También hay varias palapas de sombra en la playa para disfrutar de una bebida fría o una buena lectura.
Cada condominio tiene un plano de planta abierto. La cocina, el comedor y la sala de estar dan al agua. También hay una gran terraza cubierta frente al mar para disfrutar de la brisa del océano.
La sala de estar principal tiene 2 futones para alojar a los niños u otra pareja. Además, esta sala de estar principal también cuenta con un baño completo.
La suite principal frente al mar tiene una cómoda cama King Size y un baño privado completo.

CANCELACIONES / REEMBOLSOS:

48 horas de reserva, el Agente se reserva el derecho de cancelar la reserva y retener una tarifa del 5% para el procesamiento de la tarjeta de crédito.
• Si se recibe un aviso confirmado de cancelación más de 90 días antes de la Fecha de Entrada, el Huésped perderá el Depósito de Reserva.
• Si se recibe un aviso confirmado de cancelación dentro de los 90 días posteriores a la Fecha de check-in y la Unidad se vuelve a alquilar, el Huésped perderá el Depósito de reserva. Si la unidad no se vuelve a alquilar, la Tarifa de alquiler total se perderá por Invitado.

The outside of the property is beyond stunning. Expertly maintained landscaping, palm trees and beautiful flowers. The pool is on another level. I have never seen a larger pool for a condo complex! (I believe there are 21 total units) The pool could easily hold 75 people - and the week we spent there, we were the only users. The area of beach in front of the condo is very rocky - so plan on using that pool. You cannot walk the beach to town as the national marina is just north of the complex. I recommend using bicycles or planning on walking or grabbing a taxi. It’s about a 15 minute walk to town or about a 7 minute bike ride.
Unit 232 is a third floor unit. The stairs are spiral, which I could see as a drawback for some people (remember that everything you bring or buy has to go up the stairs!) We rented bicycles in town and there is a bike rack on the property.
The unit itself could use some upgrades - minor upgrades such as new shower heads, newer sheets and a new coffee maker. The A/C, fridge and stove all worked beautifully. There was a new TV in the living room as well.
The 2 full bathrooms are spacious and done in beautiful Mexican tiles.
I loved having the patio and watching the sunrises and moonrises over the water. There is a charcoal grill on the patio and we used it twice to grill the fish we caught.
Overall - I would stay at Caribbean Reef again.

A really nice apartment with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Far enough out of town to remain quiet but close enough to the beach part of Puerto Morelos for an easy walk in for the restaurants and supermarket.
The pool and grounds were kept constantly in good order by several permanent staff members.
Watching the sunrise over the water every morning is a great way to start the day and decide on whether it's a day for sitting round the pool or heading out to one of the local attractions such as the cenotes which we went to several times.
If you ask in the office the guy there is very helpful for anything you need and I'd recommend asking him to contact Vidy if you need a taxi driver. She'll happily take you out to wherever you need and wait to bring you back afterwards.
The condos are mostly owned by permanent (or long term) residents who are all friendly and welcoming. We were there for the American Thanksgiving week so there were a few more people than usual but still there was plenty of space around the pool so it never felt busy.
If I were to put in a word of caution I'd say to be prepared for the bugs. Not a massive issue (and nothing to do with the apartment) but the biting ones come out at dusk (and some at dawn) so make sure the bug screens are closed and you have repellent and after bite (the best after bite for us was baking soda made into a paste - messy but very effective). There were some ants initially but they soon vanished and there were a couple of little lizards but they keep to themselves so not a problem - certainly nothing to be bothered about.

This location was lovely. It's not really walking distance from the town center, so you probably need to rent a car (as we did) or bikes.
We had some issues - a door to the outside was unlocked with no key to lock it, but the property management company was very quick to get a locksmith and remedy it. There were other issues, ex: faucet handles that didn't work, but Les and Isaiah were very responsive.
There was also construction during the weeks we were there, with scaffolding across the balcony and workers at the windows, but we made the best of it.
Overall, the unit was very much as it was pictured; it's on the 3rd floor, though, so be prepared to haul your luggage!

Not worth the price!
There was absolutely no hot water in the main bathroom. We had to take a shower in the other bathroom which leaked all over the floor. The microwave is broken so we could not heat up our food after we dined out. Although we reported there was no hot water, it was never fixed. The property was nice but the Jacuzzi was broken. You have to do laundry down in town. no easy access to taxis and no restaurants near the property. Certainly way overpriced. We could have stayed in town on the beach for $45 a night.

Private beach front condo
Very well maintained property, beach and pool. The ocean front is rocky, so it is not suitable for playing in the water. We could easily swim in the ocean wearing beach shoes to get in and out of the water. We walked to town each day. It is an easy 17 minute walk. Taxis are also plentiful and we generally took a taxi home after dark. Taxi cost was 120 pesos. We LOVED Puerto Morelos. Very charming town with lots of great restaurants. We went snorkeling with Wetset twice and it was amazing. We saw large turtles and too many fish to name. We took a taxi to the Kin Ha Cenote and that was fabulous. We want to return

Location,location,location!
Quiet yet close enough to activities and restaurants in town. We didn’t have a car but it was easy enough to either catch a cab or rent a car for our day trip. We enjoyed the view from our balcony while having coffee every morning! Staff were friendly and helpful!

Perfect for small families
We had an excellent stay at Caribbean Reef over Christmas and New Year’s.
Our flight landed at 7am on the day of check in and we were given the keys at 9am when they opened, awesome, well in advance of the normal check in time.
Unit was clean and is exactly as per the pictures. Each of our kids had their own futon and were happy. I am not sure if adults would be as forgiving. Climbing 2 flights of stairs wasn't great but not a deal breaker either. The owners have locked off some of the furniture but what was available was more than sufficient.
Kids loved the pool and we all made many friends.
Beach is nice for walking but the water shallow and rocky so not much swimming. Beach clubs at the north end of town were really good so we did our beach days there.
Facility based Internet was available across the facility and worked very well. Never tried the tv but everyone was happy with Netflix etc.
We stopped by the office mid-week for some advice on where to go and the advice given by Daniela(?) was perfect.

Carribean reef
This is a lovely small complex right on the beach. People were friendly and the condo was very nice. If we needed anything the staff was right there. We are booked again for next February!

Careful with rental manager!!
Mayan Reviera properties handles rental at this property. I can’t give this company any good remarks. They were totally irresponsible. No communication on where the office is located, which is where you pick up the key. They recommended a transportation company that didn’t show up at the airport to take us to PM. Otherwise the Caribbean Reef condo was great.

Million dollar view!!
We just returned from 10 days at condo 232 at Caribbean Reef Villas. The condo was exactly as pictured; spotless and well-appointed. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook for yourselves. The living room opens onto a deck that is directly above the pool, and the ocean is directly beyond that. The window in the bedroom affords the same view and it was so nice to fall asleep to the sound of waves and to awake to the sun rising over the Caribbean Sea. The condo has air conditioning, but we never needed it, as there are ceiling fans and a beautiful ocean breeze to keep you cool. The entire complex is meticulously maintained and the maintenance staff are constantly working to ensure that the grounds and pool are above expectations. The condo is managed by Mayan Riviera Properties. They were extremely helpful and easy to deal with, from the time we booked through to the time we left.
The complex is located about 2 kilometers from the beach town of Puerto Morelos, an easy walk along the road (you cannot access the town by walking along the beach, as there is a government dock that you cannot pass through). A further 2.5 kilometer walk will take you into the Colonia of Puerto Morelos, where you will find authentic Mexican restaurants, groceries, fresh fish fruit and veggie stands, etc. A taxi into town costs about 50 pesos and one into the Colonia costs about 80 pesos.
The only negative was that the beach had accumulated piles of seaweed that had washed in from the reef. The staff worked for hours every morning to clean the beach in front of the condo, but we were not able to swim in the ocean as much as we would have liked. However, this is the fault of mother nature and not the staff at the Villas! We would highly recommend staying here; you won't be disappointed!
