This was a unique stay. The kids thought it was cool to stay/sleep on a boat.

A comfortable houseboat in the wonderful Boston. We found everything about the houseboat convenient. From the short walk to North Boston to the well equipped houseboat. We are a family of 5 and everyone has space and was comfortable on board. The deck is lovely to sit at and we loved chatting to the other harbour users. We would definitely come again. Thank you to Deb and her lovely team.

We stayed with our two kids and large dog. Lovely neighborhood and accommodations. Kids enjoyed the unique experience. Cramped of course but had more room than I was expecting for a houseboat. Would recommend 100%!

Nice boat with a lot of commodities. Close to the USS constitution which was nice and also close to the ferry to go to Boston harbour which was practical, because otherwise you have to walk about 30 minutes for the subway. Life at the marina is really nice and feels like you are part of a nice community.

Not quite what we expected but in a wonderful location. The owner was very responsive to our concerns.

My son and I stayed here on a spring break trip. The location was a 5 min walk from the USS Constitution, a 10 min walk to Bunker Hill and a 20-30 min walk to the North End. However because we were on a boat in a marina there was zero traffic noise and that combined with the rocking motion of the houseboat meant I slept extremely well. Bonus: we were visited on several days by a pair of ducks who would hang out on the patio with us. Got to love a vacation home that comes with pets!
Downsides? The location may not be the best if you don't like to walk. Also the boat definitely rocks. I've stayed on several houseboats in the past where you couldn't sense any motion. However this marina isn't protected by a sea wall or breakwater so the wakes from cargo vessels do cause the houseboat to bob a bit. I actually found it extremely relaxing but if you're readily prone to motion sickness this may not be for you.

This was a great find!! The kids loved staying in the loft and we loved having a separate bedroom! We will totally stay here again if its available!!

It was great. We are a family of four, all adults, and we’re very comfortable in the space. We loved the proximity to the Harborwalk trails and historic Charlestown. Parking was so convenient! Highly recommend.

We really loved our houseboat stay! The property was clean and pretty much as described. The loft bedroom was a big hit with the kids, and it was spacious enough that it was a good place to stow our suitcases up and out of the way. The location was perfect. The area is very walkable and while it may be more of a walk than some might like to get to restaurants, etc., we walked most places or caught the ferry from Charlestown Navy Yard. The marina was a really lovely home base. It was quiet and peaceful at night and in the mornings, and it was so nice to sit outside on the boat with a mug of coffee in the mornings! I will also add that one in our group is prone to seasickness, and he was totally fine on the boat (though we all felt like we were gently bobbing around even when on land for our entire stay!). A couple of things to note/that might be improved: it was pretty tricky to lock the sliding door to the boat. We had to leave it unlocked a couple of times because it just wouldn’t lock. Also, the bedroom door can only be closed from the inside, which meant that if someone went to bed, they had to either leave the door open OR wake up to let the other person into the bedroom. That’s only an issue if everyone isn’t going to bed at the same time. Finally, the instructions for the boat need to be updated. It was very confusing to have contradictory checkout instructions posted in the boat and sent via email, and the stakes feel pretty high if you do it incorrectly!

Our family had a nice stay at the Blue Pearl. It does take a little getting used to having “sea legs”. Bed was very comfy with nice bedding. Lovely bath towels as well. Nice walk to the USS Constitution as well as the Freedom Trail.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was spacious and suitable for our needs. Sherrie was very friendly and had great suggestions. The arrival instructions were great. The check out instructions had the wrong gate code to get out on the email we received the day prior to check out. Also, there was some conflicting information as to where to leave the key fob when checking out. Other than that minor stuff, I would highly recommend it!

The only downside was the location. Not the house itself but we had to do a lot of walking to just get to mass transit. (The walking was good for us).
Our stay in Boston was great. Thank you.

My daughter and I stayed for a couple of days and had a wonderful time. Deb (owner) is a fabulous communicator, Sherrie (property manager) is outstanding. Location was perfect for our back-and-forth trips into Boston. Our stay was a perfect 10, I wish I could give more stars!!

The houseboat was very clean, there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The rocking of the houseboat at night was very soothing, kind of put you to sleep. Very quiet area, spent our nights out on the top deck and bottom deck, enjoyed the scenery immensely. I would absolutely recommend this property, we walked the freedom trail and pretty much wherever we went.

This was our first time staying on a house boat, and loved it! Upon my arrival Sherry was there waiting to show me around an provide useful information about the house boat and surrounding areas which was very helpful. The marina itself is clean and the house boat is situated at the end of a pier with nice views and a bit of privacy. Overall a great experience and we would love to come back.

We’re from the area but wanted to do something a little unique for a staycation, and our stay here for the bill perfectly. My two children (2 and 6) were a tad nervous initially on the docks and boat but quickly acclimated and loved staying here. They especially loved the loft, and while my older son was fine, we did monitor the 2-year old closely, though she was usually careful. The kitchen was suitable for our needs (basically reheating leftovers and some light snack prep) and access to the city was easy. We walked to the Long Wharf area once but found it much faster and more convenient to take the ferry. I have a tendency toward motion sickness, but didn’t have any trouble on the boat and found the rocking soothing, especially at night. Sherrie and Deb were both gracious and responsive. All in all, a memorable trip.

I loved my stay at the Blue Pearl - it’s a cute and cozy place! The weekend was rainy and cold, I spent on the couch looking at the view and reading my book. Would go back again!

We had a great time! We did a little trip for our 3 children- ages 9, 7, and 5. We bought a groupon for city pass and got to experience all of Boston. The location and accommodations aboard the Blue Pearl were perfect.

The Blue Pearl is so conveniently located to many of the things we wanted to explore on our trip! We walked to the North End several times, took the ferry, and visited the shipyard. What a treat to walk everywhere!
The master bedroom was extremely comfortable, and the gently rocking of the boat was very serene.

The check in process is more complicated than usual, but the owner was accommodating as our arrival time changed due to bad weather. We only stayed for a couple of days and I think a longer stay during better weather would have allowed us more opportunities to enjoy being on the water. We had high winds and rain for 2/3 days. Being in the boat was fine and toasty, but we didn’t have a car so we were a bit soggy and wind blown by the time we got back to the boat. The boat is an older model, but we didn’t have any issues with it. Some prior guests had apparently been rough on the blinds, some of which could be replaced. There were very limited channels accessible on the TV, but we weren’t in Boston to watch TV so it wasn’t really an issue. We didn’t cook anything, there was a little breakfast place one pier over that was good for breakfast. With the weather on this trip I would have preferred a more central location but you can’t count on the weather!

Our family of five enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Blue Pearl. The gated marina community was safe, quiet and beautiful. After a day of walking around Boston, we came back to this peaceful little houseboat and enjoyed the gentle rocking. The sleeping loft was s hit with the kids! The views from the decks were lovely. Sherry, the woman who let us in and takes care of the property was incredibly helpful and kind at check in. The location was convenient to so many things and our kids loved the short ferry ride each morning to the Long Wharf to start our day.

Great location, easy access to all Boston has to offer. We didn’t have a car and public transportation was close and easy to use(subway and ferry). Also easy walks from the North End.

Amazing Stay
The houseboat was a highlight of our trip to Boston! We absolutely loved the accessibility to tour Boston and then to come home and relax and enjoy the Navy Yard. We lived in Charlestown many years ago and it was such a treat to bring my kids and to stay in such a unique space. Communication with the hosts was SUPERB as well. Thank you so much!
