Nice and clean room with A/C on top of a building. Steps from the beach, bars, restaurants and night life.

The room is a little crammed and there is barely space to walk around the bed. The terrace is too hot to be usable at any time, day or night. To reach the room you have to walk on a run-down shared balcony.

Even though it is walking distance to the station, Riccardo was kind enough to meet me and take me on an orientation tour by car - making great recommendations along the way. Correspondence from immediately after booking through the whole planning process was excellent.

It was perfect in every way.

The room was beautiful and clean. Same was the bathroom. A recently renovated property. The view from the window was amazing. We could see the seashore and the ancient castle. There are chairs and a coffee table and we had breakfast enjoying the view. The property is located on the Main Street, the pedestrian zone. This was very convenient. It is also very close to the beach, maybe 50 m away. Excellent location, could not be better than that! But the most amazing of all was our host Ricardo. He came to pick us from the train station, but we missed the connection due to train delay. He was waiting for us, very friendly and welcoming. The next day he offered us a ride to a nearby town, as the bus was not regular, and the taxi was quite expensive. He was so nice and felt like a relative. Not only did he drop us off, but he made sure we found what we were looking for. The breakfast was delicious, from homemade croustata to brioches and croissant, juice, milk and water available in the fridge. We could use the kitchen the whole day, coffee was available and all kinds of other snacks. As soon as we told him I was diabetic, he bought all juice and snacks with no added sugar! Incredible, amazing host, our only regret was that we have booked for 4 days only. We would have gladly stayed much longer! The morning of our departure he offered to give us a ride to the train station. Another nice gesture, as we had luggage and it was hot. The only thing we can say is: Thank you, Ricardo, for a memorable stay! We recommend La Conchiglia with a rate of 11 out of 10 max! We hope someday we can come back!
