We could not be happier with our stay here. The property is stunningly beautiful and you will immediately feel the serenity and peace it offers. The manager, Grace, is an amazing person who made us feel completely at home. Our only regret is that our schedule does not allow us to stay longer. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a natural environment where you do not feel as if you are in the middle of a city at all. Many thanks to Grace and to VRBO.

Excellent experience
We were in Portland attending swim meet at Mount Hood Community college. Several ways to get to our venue so traffic was never an issue as it was for most others attending meet. The property is incredibly beautiful surrounded by huge pine trees. We spent countless hours on the deck and took advantage of the driving range (so fun) as well as the grill. Grace is a gem and shared flowers and amazing veggies from her garden. We all were so thrilled to have ended up here. Thanks for the hospitality Grace! We will be back next time we are in Portland!!

Secured retreat
Grace and Daniel's place is a retreat that is landscaped with all kinds of artistic forms throughout the property! The beautiful exotic Koi's great you on your way to the space. It is easy to access and navigate once inside the pad! It warms up easily with a mini split heater. There is also the option of the fireplace which we didn't explore.
The creek along the property fence is mesmerizing and soothing to watch from the bedroom windows!
It was a good fit for our family visiting grandma!
Just a little heads up, the coffeepot needs to be right under the drip spout otherwise you have to spend some time
Cleaning the mess.
We didn't have a chance to walk along the creek into the woods but it looks enchanting.

Wonderful Nature Oasis
The property is amazing. The yard is like a nature preserve. Super relaxing and the kids had a blast playing in the yard. The accommodations we're clean, very comfortable, and everything was well stocked. Easy drive to Portland or the sites on the Columbia River. We were so blessed to stay here. Highly recommend to others.

Cozy Rental

Amazing get away
Graces place was superb! It was far enough from the city and surrounded by wilderness but also close enough to coffee shops pharmacies and everything else you could need. We were welcomed with a beautiful fruit basket picked from graces yard were able to enjoy coffee on her deck with a view of a backyard stream. Everything was remarkably clean and Grace was such a graceful host.

Exceed Expectation!!!
Visit our son who is a doctor at Kaiser Hospital. Perfect location, impeccably fresh, clean and well sanitized rooms inside-out, quiet, super comfortable mattress, fresh linens, black-out curtain in one bedroom (sweet surprise) Enjoy the deck overlook creek, pine, maple next to outdoor heater, plan our next trip here again for a longer stay, thank you Daniel and Grace!

Beautiful space and location
Grace & Daniel's space is a lovely, light, private, beautifully decorated and extremely clean high vibration space that was perfect for the very sad reason my sister and I were in Portland: to visit our dying father. The two bedrooms were each spacious, with comfortable beds, nice linens, and pretty views of nature out the windows. The living room and dining room were spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our breakfast and lunches. The deck outside the space was perfect for eating our meals, with an amazing view of their huge, nature-filled acreage, which included a small stream. Grace was so kind, offering us fruits and veggies from her garden, it really helped us to feel taken care of during this hard time. The location turned out to be unbelievably perfect, as it was just a short walk from the adult care home where my father was staying. It was also a short walk from a beautiful park where we walked everyday, as well as stores and restaurants. The whole Happy Valley area is very nice, and I loved that we were staying in that part of the Portland area.

Oasis with amazing host! 5 stars!
Our stay was amazing and Grace’s place was perfection! Before our stay communication was speedy and clear. Check in was simple with gate codes for easy entry. The place was impeccably clean. Grace greeted us and showed us a few things that I had asked about. She brought extra towels and there were plenty of pillow and blankets. Lots of extra toiletries and shampoo, razors, etc. Kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need to cook. The golf tee was so fun and the yard looked like we were in Costa Rica. So beautiful with the creek running through it! The roaming chickens and fresh eggs were available. Beds were comfy and bedding was clean. Grace brought us ice cream and cones after one of our daighter’s B-ball games (we were there for a tournament) as a congratulations for her winning. She even came to one of her games! She also brought us some fresh keifer she had made which was delicious. We picked fresh berries from her tree. It was very quiet and peaceful and we had a separate entrance which was nice. Grace is a wonderful and extremely kind person and really cares about the guest experience. We had a late flight so she let us store our luggage in a secure location while we explored Oregon. She is very accommodating and responsive. If you stay here make sure and take a stroll up to the Scott Trail next to her house as it is an enchanted forest! We also walked across the street to Mount Talbert for another beautiful hike. The store is one block away and easy access to restaurants as well. I can’t say enough about how much all of my family enjoyed our stay! We will be back again next year.

Fun location
Cute, clean basement suite! Grace was there to get us checked in and gave us a tour of the property. She also came downstairs several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The suite has a ton of cute touches - soft pillows and blankets. We also enjoyed hitting golf balls off the deck right outside our door.

Beautiful place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay! The house is new, clean and cozy. The mattresses are comfortable. The yard is gorgeous, even better than on the pictures. Everything is green, birds singing, you don't feel at all that you are in the city. Kids enjoyed the chickens and we all loved delicious fresh eggs. My husband enjoyed playing golf right on the veranda. Grace was very fast to reply to every one of our needs. She is sweet and kind person and it was a pleasure dealing with her.

Convenient, Comfortable & Peaceful
We had a great stay at Grace's property. If we go back to Portland we will definitely stay again! Location is SUPER convenient, right off the 205, but the property is well insulated by trees so we didn't feel like we were right off the freeway at all. We felt secluded and in a little oasis. Loved that the property is gated. We didn't even know we had neighbors. We were greeted every day by the Koi fish and the chickens, saw some bunnies, hit some golf balls, relaxed in the hammock, had our morning coffee on the deck and just watched the little stream. I was with my folks and Aunt who are all in their 70's and it was comfortable for all. I stayed on the pull out couch and it was quite comfortable. Grace was a wonderful host, checking frequently to be sure we were taken care of, but not getting into our business. I LOVED the coffee! Home was very clean and Grace stocked the home with little extras! We'll be back!

Absolutely perfect!
Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Fantastic location, only minutes from the highway, yet secluded and quiet. Grace was such a gracious host, greeting us and was available for anything we needed. The house lacks for nothing, all the smallest details have been thought of....it’s such perfect. Thank you for the fresh dozen eggs from the chickens as we left! Oh, and we saw a beautiful heron in the stream in the garden as we walked around early in the morning, made our stay!
