Really like the water dispenser in each floor for saving plastic bottles. Room provided iPad for controlling lights and power in the room, also shows hotel information and their bus schedules. Self service of laundry 24 hours, easy to operate.

The spacious room, the tranquil area. There is a bicycle park in front of the hotel; we rode bikes every few mornings. Things that we didn’t get to do much back home.

Breakfast buffet was limited. We got bored of the options after 3 days.

Veey clean. And good service. Room size also perfect.

Not much shop nearby

Das Frühstück war gut und vielfältig, in der kontinentalen Richtung aber eher schwach. Z.B. kaum Aufschnitt von Käse und Wurst, Joghurts mit Hauptzutat Wasser, im Müsliregal nichts echtes (nur Cerealien von Kellogs/Nestle). Der Riverside Room mit Queensize Bett hat uns gefallen und entsprach den Bildern. Schöner Ausblick und großzügig wirkendes Zimmer. Die vereinzelten Kaffeeflecken auf dem Teppich haben uns etwas gewundert, ansonsten alles top, auch der Zimmerservice. USB-A Ladepunkte, Mini-Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher im Zimmer vorhanden. Moderne Klimaanlage. Gewöhnungsbedürftig war die Anmeldung mit der Zimmerkarte am Bedienfeld im Fahrstuhl vor jeder Aufwärtsfahrt. Wir bekamen zwar zuvor keinen Hinweis darauf, aber alle machten es uns vor. Bei unserer Ankunft waren wir dankbar, dass wir im Pitstop im Hause noch eine warme Mahlzeit bekamen. Ich würde aber ansonsten die vielen verschiedenen Restaurants in der Umgebung empfehlen. Gut auch, dass man im Foyer jederzeit aus Automaten Snacks, Getränke und sogar Geldwechsel bekommen kann.

Keine Multi-Standard-Steckdosen, strikt englischer Standard. An der Rezeption soll es Adapter geben. Ich hatte mich schon mit eigenen Adaptern darauf eingestellt. Das kostenfreie Wasser aus dem Spender auf dem Flur schmeckte für uns eigenartig und hart, quasi nicht genießbar. Das Leitungswasser schien uns hingegen einwandfrei.

New hotel

In the Hotel food & restaurants are super overpriced. Location Faraway from the center by metro from Central station 1hour plus 15 minutes walk to hotel. Room charges are high too. Like Marriott in the same area. For smokers - Smoking area outside of the hotel even-though there is an open terrace caffe on the first floor. It’s just not right to kick out smokers out of the hotel and make them stand under the umbrellas when it’s rains in a 5 star hotel. You need to improve it. Overall Hong Kong became super unjustified expensive !!! Not the best experience from local taxi drivers, cheating tourists pretending they don’t speak English or Chinese and driving you to a locations which you don’t need even though showing them the location name and address written in both languages. As a tourist in HK max 2 days. Expensive, overcrowded hot, humid.

One of the best hotel i have been in HK. Wonderful staff, great facilities, super clean hotels. Definitely come back.

Nothing i dislike.

Staffs are really helpful and nice! Specifically the cleaning lady Angel, she does a great job on cleaning and make us feel home. We’d love to stay at Alva again!

The shuttle bus could have more time options.
