Subiendo desde la playa de El Golfet, desde donde se pueden admirar espectaculares vistas panorámicas del mar, encontramos CASA DEL MAR, una villa tradicional completamente renovada en un lugar exclusivo y privilegiado para pasar días inolvidables, noches de verano mágicas, iluminadas por las cálidas luces del pueblo proyectadas en la bahía.
La casa ofrece 7 suites (una de las cuales es un estudio independiente), cada habitación ofrece su propio baño y vestidor. Todas las habitaciones han sido decoradas con mucho cuidado, combinando texturas naturales, maderas, colores suaves y textiles ligeros que ofrecen simplicidad en los amplios espacios y crean una sensación única de bienestar.
La sensación de luz mediterránea está presente en toda la casa. El salón, una sala espaciosa, se organiza en dos espacios, por un lado un chillout con vista al mar ideal para descansar, leer un libro o para el aperitivo entre amigos, y por otro lado un salón, muy acogedor, en El área de la chimenea con un gran sofá de lino natural.
La sala de estar está separada por puertas correderas de madera, que conducen a un comedor compuesto por una mesa principal de reunión familiar y una gran cocina abierta, donde se mezclan materiales suaves como microcemento y piedra natural, la cocina está totalmente equipada y es muy espaciosa. La arquitectura de este lugar permite abrir o cerrar los arcos gracias a sus ventanas de hierro forjado, dando así la agradable sensación de poder vivir "dentro y fuera".
En el corazón de la casa encontramos un patio de luz que evoca la arquitectura colonial de las casas de la encantadora ciudad vecina de Begur. Este patio tiene en su centro una planta majestuosa que viste todo el techo con hojas exóticas que transmiten calidez y serenidad al espacio.
La casa tiene tres pisos, conectados por una escalera decorada con baldosas hidráulicas y un ascensor que conduce al sótano con un dormitorio adicional y el cine profesional (el cine está disponible para 12 personas bajo petición, con condiciones especiales) .

I don’t even know where to start with this review. Absolutely everything was beyond expectations. Gemma and Caterina were so helpful before the trip, providing information, recommendations, and answering my frequent questions. Checking in included a tour with Gemma and the nicest welcome spread of fruits and other goodies. The house itself is exactly like the photos, if not nicer. The view is so beautiful, and the large glass doors that open the kitchen area to the outdoors creates an incredible indoor/outdoor feel. The bedrooms were all comfortable and the entire house is immaculately decorated. Silvia who comes every day to look after the house is lovely and helpful. I can’t suggest a single thing that should be changed, the house and customer service are top notch. If you are considering booking this house, you should do it- you will not be disappointed!! We very much hope to be back again soon.

Casa Del Mar is a GEM, and we had a spectacular week with our family totaling 11. The house itself is beautifully decorated and surprisingly more stunning than the photos. The design details and quality of furnishings and decor are very high end, and the house/kitchen is stocked with everything you need.
The house sits atop a hill with great big views of the ocean and coastline. It's a bit of a walk in to town, but manageable, and a very short car ride, but we didn't want to leave the large outdoor terrace/pool area.
What sets this apart from other places we've stayed was the amazing care and attention from the property managers. Gemma was in constant contact with us before and during our visit to help with anything. Siliva the caretaker came to clean the home every day, and also prepared food for us. Upon arrival, there was an incredible spread of fresh fruits and a homemade cake. These little touches make all the difference in the world!
We highly recommend Casa Del Mar to anyone looking for a special week in Costa Brava. It's an amazing place.

This house is absolutely perfect for a family vacation!! It is warm and welcoming, and every little touch is perfect. It is perched on a hill with a spectacular view of the sea. We were. group of 14, with 8 adults and 6 kids, and everyone had space and their own rooms and baths.
I cannot say enough about Caterina, Gemma , and Sylvia, who manage and take care of the house. From the beginning of the rental process, they were responsive and wonderful in their communications, enabling us to have peace of mind about our vacation. This was a 5 star vacation on every level!!! We hope to get back one day!!

We all fell in love with Casa Del Mar the moment we arrived for my mums 70th birthday week!!
It is the perfect villa for large family holidays with lots of space for socialising and dinners and many hidden areas when a bit of chill out time is needed. The flowers and decoration has been carefully chosen and everyday we spotted something new and impressive. A villa which kept on giving. The pool is beautiful and cleaned daily.
The rooms are spacious with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning and plenty of storage. The master bedroom has breath taking views of the sea and surrounding landscape.
Gemma and Catrina are the best hosts. They took care of us before and throughout out our holiday making sure we had everything we needed including high chairs and a cot for our little girl.
If you don’t feel like cooking you must try Silvias menu or arrange for Albert (private chef) to come and cook a local feast !!!
The local town is beautiful with great beaches, restaurants and shops. Perfect for a morning or afternoon out.
Casa Del Mar is a dream villa and we can’t wait to return. Thanks again!!!

Looking back on an unforgettable and wonderful holiday I can only say that we were so fortunate to stay at Casa del Mar in Calella. We felt instantly at home, due to the great hospitality of Gemma & Sylvia, every room in the house had its own stylish charm, and the breathtaking view of the sea. Our children continuously mentioned they were inspired by the beautifully decorated interior design of the house, something they will never forget. We relaxed at every corner of the sunny terrace, enjoyed the great Spanish dishes (sometimes prepared by Sylvia), and celebrated life every day. In short, a holiday that we will never forget, thanks to Casa del Mar.

This was our third year at Casa Del Mar, we just can't stay away!
It's the perfect house for our family. Large enough to fit a large group comfortably but also cozy enough to enjoy quality time together.
It's immaculately clean, Slyvia and her team really do an amazing job. She's also a wonderful cook, we definitely recommend her menu!
The amazing outdoor spaces are particularly special at this house, they are all so relaxing and unique. A zone for every mood.
The House Manager, Gemma, is always on hand to help and so very responsive. Nothing is too much trouble.
We love it so much, we'll be back again next year!

The property was terrific and very much as advertised. Views were stunning and the house is beautifully decorated and stocked. The property managers were super attentive and helpful and the housekeeper kept the house impeccable. The light every single morning is just absolutely unbelievable. I'd gladly go back

We were looking for a unique property in the Costa Brava region to hold a family wedding (only immediate family, 12 people). Casa del Mar worked out to be the perfect place for us to celebrate. The combination of a beautiful location in Calella Palagruell overlooking the sea, and the spacious and well-appointed accommodations provided all the essential elements. Of special note was the pool, which was cleaned daily, and which received lots of use during our visit.
Prior to our visit, we had been in contact with our hosts multiple times. They guided us with helpful suggestions on cooks and photographers, as well as an array of activities in the local area. On the day of our arrival our hosts greeted us with a wonderful spread of fresh and baked foods (what a treat for weary travelers). Gemma and Caterina were thoughtful and caring hosts, making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit.
We hope to return to Casa del Mar someday to enjoy this idyllic location and casa.

Our trip to Calella was incredible and the best part about it was this beautiful house. The views from the house were just as good at night as they were during the day. The house has great double doors throughout the back terrace and once all of the doors are open it creates a great breeze that we enjoyed every day. We cooked at the house several nights and I was extremely pleased with the appliances as well as the pots and pans that were provided.
The only slight negative was the hot water which seemed to run out quickly since we had 10 people showering at similar times before we went out at night.

The Casa Del Mar was truly a home away from home from our family. We felt comfortable, with warm design, comfortable shared sitting areas and dining room and open kitchen. We came with two families and 8 kids total. Our kids, had an incredible time, we loved the outdoor space and the open views of the sea and the villa has a very happy, soft, serene feel to it with incredible light and fresh air throughout the space. The attention to detail is outstanding. We were warmly greeted by Caterina and Gemma when we arrived and they went far beyond our expectations in preparations for our special kosher cooking and food needs that made us feel cared for and welcome. We were stunned by their generosity and kindness. We want to return again as soon as we can.
A few notes on location. We did not know what to expect in Costa Brava and Palafrugell. We were there for 12 days and did not run out of activities and wonder. The weather was a bit cold and rainy and I imagine in the summer there is even more to do. We absolutely loved the long walks along the wild coast and the proximity to the botanical gardens and running, walking, biking hiking paths 50 meters from the villa were wonderful. We walked for 3 hours in both the north and south directions along the coast and were simply astonished by the natural beauty. There are some small beaches and more distant beaches that are hard to get to so there are less people around in April when we were there. There are a lot of steps down to the beach so be it was good exercise!! I found myself the only person at the beach some mornings. The town is very quiet, yet there are grocery stores and amenities nearby. For kids there is kayaking, miniature golf, bowling, swimming, and incredible tennis nearby. The little towns around and Girona are also nice visits for culture. Gemma and Caterina were always available and immediately responsive if we ever needed anything.
It was an incredible spiritual holiday for us we always remember. We are grateful and humbled by the opportunity to stay at Casa Del Mar. We looked at dozens of other villas in Costa Bravo, and after our experience, we are sure Casa Del Mar is one of the very best you will find.

This was our second stay in Casa de Mar and as last time we loved every minute of it. The house has very elegant and warm design/style where every little detail is thought through. It has very well equipped kitchen and spacious and beautiful bedrooms. We enjoyed the many different dining and seating spaces inside and outside.
Gemma was incredibly helpful before, during and after our stay, offering tips about restaurants, biking, covid tests etc. and Sylvia took very good care of us while there.
We are already talking about our next holiday in Casa de Mar :)

Casa Del Mar is a home away from home for our family. Upon arrival, a sense of calm overcomes you and you feel instantly relaxed. It's wonderful views over Calella are hard to beat.
The house has been beautifully curated to a very high standard, with a particularly lovely dining and kitchen area that is airy and bright and leads on to many outdoor seating areas and the children loved the pool!
The House Manager (Gemma) and House Keeping (Silvia and team) were very responsive, requests were met with no trouble and actioned swiftly and efficiently. We always felt looked after and regularly updated on any requests.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this superb property as the perfect house and great location for a Spanish holiday. We're looking forward to going back.

Everything about this property was outstanding. The hospitality of the owners, the panoramic location of the terrace, the tasteful decoration of the interiors, as well as the availability of all the amenities that one would require for a pleasant stay. The villa was in a pristine shape when we arrived and Silvia (the lovely housekeeper) has done a great job to keep it as such throughout our stay. Palafrugell is a charming place with numerous beaches and excursions all within a walking distance from the villa. The family (13 of us) 8 days’ experience here was an oasis of tranquility and charm. From the outset, Caterina was amazing to work with. She helped in every aspect and the communication as we got everything organised was superb. She was flexible and thoughtful in so many ways. The house itself is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The lighting is artistry :) and the views are breathtaking. I would not hesitate to recommend this property - it is everything you would expect it to be and so much more.

We spent a week in late June at Casa del Mar and had an amazing time. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our wonderful hosts, Catarina and Jerome. The home surpassed all expectations- the pictures do not do it justice! Our hosts thought of every detail and the home is incredibly thoughtful. It was the perfect accommodations for our two families including three small children (7, 8, and 9 years of age). No small detail overlooked as you could pick any space (there are many spaces both indoors and outdoors) to relax and the home and the beautiful views. Importantly, although the house in not on the beach, the privacy and views from the house are second to none in Calella. The inclusion of daily housekeeping (the lovely Sylvia) and the option to have Sylvia cook was a special treat. Sylvia prepared an amazing dinner for all of us and it may have been one of our best meals during our one week stay in Costa Brava. A tall order given that we had two vegans and two pescatarians. Casa Del Mar also came equipped with plenty amenities (cooler, towels, umbrella etc.) for the beach which came in handy. Another pleasant surprise was the proximity to the nature preserve near by the house. If you love hiking, running, or simply enjoy great views, it’s worthwhile to spend some time exploring the preserve. I know it has been mentioned before, but Catarina, Jerome, and Sylvia were accessible (whattsapp) the entire time of our trip and if we ever needed anything, they ensured all requests we met. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our party of 14 were from Australia thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa del Mar. We had searched for many months on the internet looking for a suitable property for all of us and this wonderful Spanish villa did not disappoint. The photos on the listing showed many photos which was great, however the property is more stunning and beautiful when you arrive. The architecture is stunning, the interior is just beautiful, the villa is tastefully decorated with a mix of Spanish and Moroccan soft furnishings. Every room has its own luxurious bathroom. The kitchen utilities are all high quality and equipped with everything you need - including a very good coffee machine!The villa was immaculate, kept clean and tidy by the wonderful Silvia who came everyday during the week. The communication with the owners was fantastic, they even came to greet us on our first day and also kindly helped us with meals and booking us into local restaurants. The house is so big, with many rooms to relax indoor and outdoor. The view is spectacular and we loved relaxing by the pool (which was a pleasant temperature) and eating outside on the large veranda. It was just magic.We could not fault the place at all, except that it is on a very steep hill and you need to be fit to walk up and down to the beach, so consider a car if you are staying for a week or longer! The nearby beaches are just stunning, and we did enjoy the walks along the beach to all the different villages along the coast. Highly recommend this property, it more than exceeded our expectations and provided our family with a wonderful stay full of great memories..

We had the most wonderful holiday and we enjoyed every moment at Casa Del Mar. This house is absolutely beautiful and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind to our group. The decor is stunning and they have thought about every last detail. The beaches and restaurants are all walking distance from the property. It was such a peaceful and relaxing escape from Barcelona and we hope to stay again! Thank you for making our visit so perfect!!
