Very relaxing environment.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Heron's Nest and we look forward to booking again next year. Very peaceful getaway. Great amenities and fantastic staff at the Marina.

Loved our 4 day stay. Cabin is updated and very clean. The view is what makes it super special, right on the water with wonderful breezes. Pool was a nice plus too. Kitchen was nice, but fridge was small with no freezer space. We would rent again!

Very clean, beautiful place sitting on the bay. Great breeze in the evenings to enjoy the Chesapeake Bay.

This was such a a nice stay! Very clean and gorgeous views. The AC worked well during this heat wave too! We really appreciated the little beach and pool. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the surrounding towns. We can't wait to return!

Cute little cottage with a beautiful view! Forgot to account for the mini fridge with the food we brought, but besides that, everything went great for our short stay.

This was exactly what we wanted for our anniversary trip. The house was spotless and just perfect. It is literally just a few feet from the water. When you look out the living room windows you feel like you were on a boat because all you see is water. We loved it and hope to return soon!

A very cute and comfortable house. We loved the view. Do wish it had a freezer for ice. We could have also used a container for leftovers and we could not find the hair dryer.

Everything was great from check-in to check-out. The property was spacious and the waterfront location was perfect. 10/10 would stay again if I am back in the area!!

This was our third stay. It's still just as cute and cozy as ever but now has an updated bathroom. Waterfront cabin with great views is on a working marina next to a wedding venue. The small cabin isn't meant for indoor activities but the sheer beauty justifies any minor inconveniences. The steep stairs to the loft gets tricky. Watch your step on your way down. All in all it's as romantic as it gets when the surrounding activities are at their minimal.

This was the most relaxing trip we have had in a long time. This tiny house is truly magical. The water views surpassed our expectations. We are looking forward to going back.

This cottage is a gem of a find! My husband and I had a fabulous few days here while visiting the area, it’s location right on the water is perfect. It was so lovely having views from every window. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Thank you so much.

From making the reservation to following up after our stay, Adrienne was responsive, easy to work with and very accommodating to our requests. We truly could not have chosen a more perfect home and location for our stay. The Heron's Nest is beautifully decorated, quaint and cozy with all the comforts of home. The property is exceptional with ample parking, fabulous water views, a large porch for enjoying morning coffee or watching the cruise ships coming in and out of port. We had a few guests during our stay, and many have reached out requesting information on the reservations process. I will be recommending "The Heron's Nest" to all family and friends. Four far-away friends gathered for a reunion here for a couple of nights, and it was perfect. The covered porch and Adriondack chairs were our favorite place to hang out and enjoy morning coffee and meaningful conversations together. The tiny house is situated right on the Chesapeake Bay, and we were delighted by bird sightings (including a Bald Eagle who swooped down and caught a large fish right in front of us!), barge and ship watching, and lovely sunrises. Because the house sits on the marina's property, there is access to lovely green space, a small sandy beach, a fire pit, a small playground, and lots of space to run for kids. House was very clean and well-appointed. It's really a wonderful spot. The only things to be aware of are: 1. Because this is a working marina, there is a large multi-story boat storage scaffolding directly across from the house as you drive in. The house is set back across the drive from the stored boats and closer to the water, so, visually, it's not a big deal. 2. There is a wedding/event venue right next to the marina's property. We enjoyed listening to DJ music that drifted our way one evening, but if you're looking for silence, you may not get it every night. We didn't mind at all! It added to the fun we were already having. 3. All beds are basically in the same area with no doors, so if you need privacy or have light (or really heavy) sleeper in the group, it's something to keep in mind. We had an absolutely wonderful stay!

We are very familiar with the area and the marina! Our daughter got married next door to the cottage.. We absolutely LOVED having the cottage to get ready in and take pictures! It is an awesome location, the view is fantastic! Check in was super easy and host was very responsive! Will definitely recommend others to stay here!

This petite cottage is brimming with charm. The picturesque marina includes complementary use of pool, beach, fire pit and playground for Heron’s Nest renters. Sweeping bay views are visible from nearly every window of the cottage — and there are many. Sunrise watchers will not be disappointed, and the giant porch with ceiling fans is a great spot to lounge and view passing boats and soaring seabirds. I’d recommend this listing, and hopefully will be able to return!

The house was so cute. It was very serene right on the water. The sunrise and sunset were amazing. It was awesome being part of the marina and having access to the pool and the marina community. The staff was very helpful in making sure we had what we needed. The location was far enough from the city to be quiet, but close enough to get to.

The view of the water from inside the house is amazing. Very clean throughout and decorated with a cozy beach vibe. My family and I enjoyed the sunset and sunrises, took a dip in pool and fished from the beach. I like how there’s food delivery options and clear instructions on how to keep the house. Overall, It was very relaxing. Thank you. We will definitely do this again.

We really enjoyed staying here again. It's wonderful to sit by the water and watch the ships and boats coming and going. The cottage is lovely, and the beds are comfortable.
