'Somerley' es una casa de campo espaciosa y encantadora ubicada en una calle tranquila en el área de conservación histórica de Deal, a pocos minutos a pie del mar y del centro de Deal. Deal High Street fue recientemente votada High Street del año y Deal se ha utilizado para varios sets de películas, Liar y Vanity Fair. We had a great stay in this nice vintage-like place. There was room enough for the five of us.
We enjoyed the courtyard for having breakfast and the short walks to the beach and the city centre.
Espacially nice was the uncomplicated contact to our landlady Wendy via E-Mail.
PS.: We were booking from Germany (fewo-direkt.de), the translated description is a little misleading, because the house is not situated in rural areas or close to the nature but in the historic evironement of the city centre.

We had a wonderful time - the house is indeed spacious and kitted out thoughtfully and generously. Our children loved the basement games area. A very quiet location but only a few minutes walk to the High Street. We’d love to stay again.

Lovely property with lots of extra essentials to make life easier. Parking wasn't an issue for us at all. 5 minute walk to the beach. Great communication with the home owner during the booking process and again a couple of days before we arrived. Thank you xxx

We had a lovely and comfortable stay at somerley. Cottage was very clean and was the most well equipped holiday cottage we've ever stayed in! Wendy, our host, was attentive to our needs. Location was very centre to everywhere we wanted to visit...Dover castle was 20mins away, sandy beaches at botany bay n joss bay was only 40 mins drive. Deal beach was 10mins walk n we loved our visit to Deal castle n walked along the promenade to Walmer castle. Definitely recommend.

What a fantastic property! Stayed with my husband and two 18+ children. The house was spotless and very well equipped, some places can be a little hit and miss with there kitchen equipment but not here. We usually managed to park on the street only once or twice just round the corner so that wasn’t an issue. Deal itself is a beautiful place with lots of interesting little shops to have a nose around in .
I rarely give above 4 stars but this property deserves all 5 !

Great comfortable cottage with a lovely small backyard, fully equipped and in walking distance from, city center, station, beach, supermarkets and shops. Even the cellar had games for the kids. Wendy, the landlady, was always of help. I rate five out of five stars. Really to recommend.

The house has everything you would have in your own home, well presented and very comfortable. It's well positioned for all the amenities, we loved being able to walk to the beach. The extra parking permits for the second car were essential, thank you for obtaining them for us.

Even with 4 adults in our group the cottage felt spacious and we made good use of the courtyard garden. We managed to park right outside the house and we were very grateful for the parking permits.
Our host was very helpful and answered all our questions promptly and provided a very generous welcome pack. We would have no hesitation in staying here again if we came back to visit Deal.

Amazing property in a great location
Amazing property in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach and Pier. The house was large enough for our family ( 2 adults and 3 children) it was great to have separate kitchen, lounge and dining room. The bedrooms were a very good size with very comfy beds. The house is well equipped and has everything you could possibly want. It was very clean, and ample towels to last us our whole stay. The courtyard at the back of the house was a lovely private place to sit and eat outside. Excellent communication from the owner on the few occasions we messaged we always got a very quick, helpful response. The house is located close to local bars, restaurants and shops. The perfect place for a stay in Deal, I would highly recommend.

Lovely property
Fantastic stay in Deal. The house is 5 minutes walk from the high street. Deal is ideally located to explore Kent with most important places no more than 30 mins away.
We used the BBQ every night as there was a great butchers in town.
Very comfy house with nice beds and living room.

Lovely house with real character
We stayed here for the weekend with our two children. It was a perfect break, within walking distance of beautiful Deal and we found the accommodation very well equipped, clean and comfortable. We will definitely go back.

Great place, good location
Lovely well furnished rooms and courtyard, well located for exploring Kent, but also for the beach and the centre of Deal. Owner and housekeeper both very helpful and v clear safety measures for managing COVID-19 risks.

All exactly as described
Immaculately clean and very comfortable and attractive house. Kitchen particularly well equipped. Only very slight niggle was the poor flow of the hot water and the taps in the bathroom sink confused everybody!!

Lovely house very close to the sea
We had a lovely stay and thank the host for great communication on the run up to our stay. The house is great, really well equipped and comfortable. Our kids were chuffed with the big box of Lego to play with, the games room is great but we didn't really need to play in there. The kitchen with the garden area are the real gems to the house. My only little niggle is that the low ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom could be detailed in the listing, just for pre-warning! Both myself and my husband are 6ft and we found the low ceiling in the kitchen quite amusing, bumped into the smoke alarm once of twice in the beginning. It wasn't a huge problem for us, I'm not sure it would have been such a comfortable stay had we been an inch taller!
The house is in a great location, we didn't ever had trouble parking outside the house. Deal is a very special little seaside village, fairly quiet (we went in August) compared to other seaside places in Kent and picturesque with just enough to entertain my 2 young children for the week.

Very pleasant stay
Just left our lovely terraced house. We had a great stay. It’s really convenient for amenities and the beach. Excellent communication with the owner and it has been very well looked after by Eileen. Occasionally you won’t get parked right outside the house but we had no trouble in neighbouring streets with the parking permit.

Perfect house in good location
This is a really lovely house and has everything you need. It's very comfortable and in an excellent location. It's a short walk to the High St and the sea. We didn't have any problem parking nearby and a residents' parking voucher is available. We found very good places to eat in the vicinity. Deal is a delightful town and cafe at the end of the pier must not be missed.

Weekend break
We had a lovely short stay at the cottage, the house is fully equipped with everything you would need and is in a quiet street in the old town with easy access to the beach and the town centre is in walking distance, I would recommend this for families looking for a home from home.

2018 Christmas in Deal
We (2 adults and 2 children aged 3 & 5) had a great time in this property there is sufficient amount of lego and books for the children and a very workable and comfortable living space for the adults, overall a great stay and would high recommend.

Lovely stay in Deal
We had a great weekend in Deal. The cottage was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The delicious bread waiting for us was a treat. The house is very close to the main shopping street with its cute independent shops and cafes. The beach was a quick walk away. A few steps out of the house was the weekly Saturday boot sale / market, which was fun for a wander round. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a perfect stay!

Fabulous house
Just returned from a week in Deal staying in Somerly...the house was fabulous, super clean and very comfy...all you could want and more...decor/linen etc all very tasteful....patio lovely sun trap and handy basement with toys for children on rainy days....
Would thoroughly recommend ...Deal has lots to offer ..good walks...pubs...eateries.....galleries and lots to visit locally.

We three girls had a fantastic long weekend in this gorgeous house, and it was lovely to have a welcome pack of butter, bread and milk already in the fridge. The weather was perfect and we will definitely be back!!

Well equipped, comfortable house in great location.
We had a brilliant time in Deal and thoroughly enjoyed staying in this house. It had everything we needed - comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, sunny courtyard and pleasant living space. It was ideally located for the seafront where we spent most of the weekend. Lots of pubs and shops within 10 minutes walk. Communication with the owners before and after our visit was excellent. Highly recommended!

Fantastic weekend stay.
What can I say this place? Well it is fantastic!! Set in the heart of old Deal it is a real gem, spacious with loads of old world charm but with every mod con you could need. We stayed with our 2 teenage son's and we all found it very comfortable. Deal it's self is very charming with loads of bars and eateries with a good selection of shops to have a mooch round. We will definitely return in the future and can't recommend it highly enough.
