Wonderfully welcoming staff. Relaxed ambience throughout the property. Elegant dining rooms. Large comfortable bedroom with good amenities in the room. Very nice evening meal (for a separate price) and an enjoyable breakfast (included in the price). Excellent value for money (in the week).

No lifts so if you have big suitcases, this could be a problem (that said, the staff helped us up with our light bags). The room we had had steps down into the room which made it difficult getting out as you had to step back down to pull the door inwards.

Fabulous service, an amazing historic building and awesome grounds. Amazing food, too! Magnolia in full bloom outside the window. And the property is just 15-20 minutes from Giethoorn.

Special Hotel with really special staff. You can feel yourself like kings but at home at the same time. Located at a picturesque park with lake. You are waking up with the birds songs.

This hotel, is an absolute gem. Everything about it was right, the staff were attentive, helpful, and went well above what we expected. The rooms are comfortable, clean, with a great view. Breakfast was included in the price, lots of fresh fruit, breads, coffee, and the best honey I have ever tasted. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and has a beautiful and easy to get to location. The outstanding thing about our stay, was the staff. We also met the owner, who couldn’t have done enough for us. Another beautiful gem about this place was the pub located within the hotel. If you are thinking of staying anywhere stay here. We will definitely be going back.

An exceptional hotel in all respects: Unpretentious luxury, attention to detail, a most friendly and efficient staff, signs of the owner's good taste and love for quality abundant everywhere from the immaculately maintained gardens down to the smallest decorative artifact. Dining not to be missed! A genuine gastronomic experience!

The breakfast was excellent. Very good bread, croissant, home-made jams, great muesli, yogurt, fantastic coffee, cheese, etc. Everything very fresh. Excellent service, very friendly, outgoing, informative and helpful.

It was perfect.

As it says a city palce. Recently renovated with lovely gardens in the heart of the town. There is a restaurant only for guests with superb food.

All good, it's a small towm but the local area if perfect for cycling walking with iconic Dutch landscape.

the breakfast was very disappointing. Very small cups of coffee that we had to ask for milk and sugar for. No bowls for the muesli and we had to ask for milk. One vegetarian and one with strawberry allergies, and yet meat on the table and sliced cheese on top of strawberries. Hard boiled egg, no choice offerred. Small bowl of sugared fruit that we didn't want. Exactly the same every day. One the plus side the bread was nice but over all not satisfactory or to the standard you would expect for this hotel.

Very helpful with renting e bikes at the hotel and providing a route.

Google maps had a little trouble directing me to parking at the hotel. There were no signs posted. Once located all was good.
