rather tired decor

The house was great the only thing was that the floor downstairs was dusty and quite a lot of dog hair understand it’s a pet friendly place but once I swept up it was fine and a lot of hair on cushions and settees . Went to hoover chairs for my own peace of mind but hoover was blocked . Once I unblocked that it was all good . Excellent amount of kitchen equipment with everything you could want , good amount of appliances and a lot for families . It was just my partner and I but bowled over with everything that was in the house.

The location of the property is excellent - very close to great pubs, restaurants.

Great property in a beautiful location. Well equipped for a comfortable stay. Lovely walks and beaches nearby, town with pubs, restaurants and shops within a short walk.

Perfect dog friendly as oppose to dog tolerant house situated in the most perfect location. Enjoyed all aspects would definitely book again. Thank you.

Ideal location in a pretty little coastal village. Tight narrow streets make parking a little difficult at times. There’s plenty of space for a family of five with good WiFi and kitchen bathroom facilities. The rooms are comfortable and spacious with plenty of sockets for hair dryers, chargers etc New(ish) bathroom installed and the kitchen is well equipped. Lovely outdoor area for for BBQ’s and outdoor hosting! Close to all local amenities and the beach is a short walk away The owner, Debs, was really lovely and helpful.

The only thing that really lets the place down is the general cleanliness and mildew/black mould. Around the windows in most rooms particularly the bay window in the front room and the bathroom ceiling. The Bed in the main room is also damaged underneath so also prevented any funny business as didn’t want to be liable for a broken bed!

Location. The facilities were most welcome, e.g. washing machine. Like home from home. Everything you needed was supplied and unexpected items were also supplied. Parking was also great. Two minute walk to great places to eat and drink.

There was nothing to dislike.

Although very clean, I felt it needed a little modernising, and some of the décor was tired. Nothing a lick of paint couldn't cure

Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water and towels. Nice ambiance. Well furnished. Clean and tidy. Very roomy space. I didn't use any appliances, so can't comment on them. Shower worked well.

The omission of a few basic provisions in the kitchen (tea, milk etc). And there was just one toilet roll? These are relatively inexpensive items and should be included as standard in the rental price (it's usual practice, in my experience, and I travel a lot). The instructions for the management/adjustment of the heating system (central heating and living room fire) completely baffled me (but that could just be me as I'm not very technical). But I couldn't understand the (badly) hand-written 'instructions' for adjusting the heating temperature pinned to the kitchen wall: possibly room for improvement there. The house was bitterly cold on arrival (I noticed that a previous guest made the same comment). The downstairs floors are particularly cold on the feet. The bathroom was too cold for me to use the shower for the first couple of days and the bathroom never really got very warm, in spite of the heated towel rail. The stairs were rather slippery (not recommended for the elderly or children, really).

Excellent location very close to the centre of Llantwit but in the nicer old part of the town. We were visiting family in the town so were out every day but was nice to come back to a house with a cosy feel.

The bedroom with three single beds had mould on the ceiling, round the window and round two of the beds (where the beds touch the walls)! not ideal for the baby sleeping in there. Luckily only one adult (myself) and the third bed was free from mould so I had somewhere to sleep. The stairs seem to be polished making them very slippy - would advise people to take slippers with rubber soles or wear shoes to avoid slipping as the top half of the banister is not very easy to grip as it is on the wall.
