Loved the apartment and neighborhood! Our host was friendly, and helpful. He communicated well and always got back to me quickly on any questions I had. The apartment was decorated beautifully, had nice amenities and was very clean!

The property is clean spacious and very centrally located. Walking distance to everything, river is 2 minutes away and plenty of restaurants locally. Petra is very responsive to messages and is lovely. It is on the 3rd floor so lots of stairs to climb which was not a problem for us but Incase someone is elderly or has mobility issues. We had a wonderful stay.

This property was in a great location for walking around town and had plenty of shops and restaurants close by. We thoroughly enjoyed that aspect however, it wasn’t a quite lazy area. There is a lot of construction going on in the surrounding buildings and it starts at 8:00 AM straight up! Also, the pillows could use an upgrade. They are quite flat and covered with plastic protector under the pillowcase which makes for awful sleeping. The layout of the property was great for our family however. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics, which we did not use a lot of because we wanted to eat the local food, which was amazing. Also, the people of Portugal are very friendly, and we very much enjoyed our time in Porto.

We felt very at home in this apartment while staying in Porto. The central location was very convenient for all of our adventures. There was construction going on around the apartment and I will be interested in seeing how things change in the area as this is completed! Thank you for making our trip more enjoyable!

Lovely on the weekend but no sleeping in on week days. Two bedrooms face a very noisy construction site that starts promptly at 8:00 (as of March 2024)

This apartment is truly in the best location. You can walk everywhere in the city. As others have reviewed the check-in was a bit confusing and communication was difficult. Very little to no English with the property manager and Host. Hardly any parking garages in Porto, but since we could walk everywhere, we found a 24 hour parking garage that is a 10 minute walk from the apartment. Without an elevator, the four story walk up and down daily would be difficult for those with mobility issues. The actual apartment was as describe however we were there during the winter and it was freezing cold in the apartment. The space heaters provided in every room do not give off much heat. Extra blankets were provided, but still very cold. It was also very frustrating not having a place to hang wet towels. I hope that the host installs some hooks or bars in the bathrooms for future guests.

Great location...really easy to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. Great restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment was generally good and "as advertised". We were a bit disappointed with the check-in process and the communication before and during our stay. Nothing was very clearly defined or communicated and that led to some frustrations and complications.
Small item: wish there were some towel hooks to hang wet towels and clothes. The laundry lines outside were unfortunately exposed to sideways rain during several days of our visit.

The location is great for walking everywhere in Porto. Our host, Petronela, was very helpful, kind and responsive - thank you! The apartment is in a small street with some bars and cafés, which makes it quite lively and popular, especially with young locals, what you would expect in the centre of a city like Porto. We really appreciated the sense of being in the middle of things. We would mention that there are renovations going on opposite the apartment building which can be quite loud during the day, but didn't really bother us. Overall, we can safely recommend staying!

Really an amazing location and wonderful place… the only issue we had was it was unusually hot during the time in Porto … there is no air conditioning or fans and we could not sleep! But the place, location, and our host Petronella were all amazing!

Overall, great experience and hostess. The only thing that was a bit confusing was the extra charges when we checked in. Our reservation indicated we were paid in full, but when we checked in m, we were asked to pay an extra tax per person per night.

Apartment was perfect for our family of five adults. All rooms were nice and comfortably furnished and supplied with everything we needed.
Location is on a small side street right in the thick of things. We walked easily everywhere we wanted to go, including sites, stores, restaurants and the waterfront on both sides of the river.

This is a fabulous 4 bedroom duplex apartment with a fantastic location. The only drawback is it is a 4 story walk-up. We all enjoyed our stay.

Did not realize the apartment was on the 3rd floor and no lift, lots of stairs but we managed
The toilet seats need attention. The one upstairs was cracked in two places and the toilet seat downstairs was missing a fastener
But overall it was a pristine well appointed apartment and I would stay there again

Enjoyed our stay , fantastic location but not for anyone who cant do stairs and a real challenge with luggage and on a daily basis became a chore. Would have been good to know of alterations being done all around from early morning in adjoining apartments. Just a couple of helpful hints , mirrors required in bedrooms , enough cups for residents and larger kettle needed.

We had a great time in Petronela's apartment. This apartment is in a very central area, with easy access to everything. Check-in was a little bit confusing but once we were settled in, we had no complaints. Very clean, quiet building, third floor walk-up. We would definitely stay again. Petronela is a really responsive and available host!

The place was very clean and very well kept. There is a bit of a walk up flights of stairs that I was not expecting, but not anything that could not be done. The host was great and very communicative and helpful. She let us check in early with our bags which was a great help.

We loved this location! It was within 5min of many sites and great restaurants. The owner of the property greeted us and gave us a tour upon check in. We visited when it was raining very hard and she allowed us to borrow her umbrella. All of the amenities were clean and the apartment was spotless. I would highly recommend booking through Petronela!

the Apartment was really nice we were a group of 4 had a room each and two bathrooms. The host was amazing booked taxi's from the airport and gave us a tour of the city on the map when we arrived. the apartment is in an amazing location the heart of everything with fantastic restaurants near by quiet wine bars just perfect. everything was in walking distance even across the river. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. such a lovely stay. Host was lovely and on the end of the phone if neeeded.

Petronela was very responsive and helpful! She is very familiar with the sights and restaurants and we appreciated it. The apartment is located centrally in Porto and is incredibly convenient. There are also several great restaurants on the same street for dining including a vegetarian/vegan for those who are interested.
One thing that we would share is the downstairs sandwich shop can get rowdy but that is not in Petronela’s control, all other things were great!

From the moment of enquiring, Petronela was fantastic and very helpful. I was using the property as a place to get ready for my wedding with some friends and family and the apartment was perfect for this. The house was relatively simple, but had everything you could need and was very clean. Petronela was very helpful and welcoming - even giving my husband and I two port glasses and some delicious port to say congratulations. We couldn’t have asked for better!

Host was amazing and went above and beyond to welcome my family to the country and city. She had great tips about sightseeing & affordable parking. Apartment was perfectly situated and the city is so walkable! Rooms were plentiful for our size group. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to explore Porto’s beautiful charm!

Great location. Near historic Porto. Near the Ribeira. Walking distance to everything. We loved it. The Hostess was also fantastic. Her name was Preta. She was VERY helpful, friendly and responsive. We had a car which was difficult because the amount of free parking is MINIMAL and paid parking isn’t cheap. The apartment was suitable for our family of 6. There were enough beds for 8, but only enough hot water for 3-4 quick showers. And the beds…ouch. We were sufficiently exhausted from all our walking each day to sleep, but we didn’t sleep great. They are fairly old and hard. They definitely need to be upgraded. Other than that and the hot water, it was wonderful!

Die Ausstattung, Lage und Sauberkeit sind nicht zu überbieten. Mitten im Geschehen und trotzdem ziemlich ruhig. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Wir haben kein Staubkorn gesehen. Die Matratzen sind mit hygienischen Schonern überzogen. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und gibt gerne Informationen zur Stadt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Situación estupenda en en el centro de la ciudad, pegado al Duero en su zona mas atractiva, frente a Gaia.

Two nights in Porto
Petronela was the most gracious host, accommodating both early and late check-ins. She had great suggestions for things to do in Porto and was extremely responsive to any questions we had. The location was absolutely perfect, on a quiet street yet central to everything. The apartment itself was just as advertised and well stocked with the basics for our stay. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here during their time in Porto. There was six in our group and we all agreed we would stay again if we were back in Porto.
