The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for what we needed. Great location, very easy to get around by foot or public transport.

Everything was great. We were aware that there was only access via stairs to our room which was no problem at all. However, the stairs are very narrow and steep so bare this in mind if you think you might struggle ☺️

The location, the coziness and the helpful and kind staff. The hotel gives you the perfect vibe and (as mentioned above) the very helpful and good informed personal will greet you warmly and will you give you the perfect tips for your (short or long) stay in this beautiful city.

Everything was perfect.

Das Hotel liegt mitten im Zentrum, alles kann zu Fuß erreicht werden. Tolle Lage, schöne Umgebung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der 3. Etage zum Hinterhof im Haupthaus. Absolute Ruhe☺️ , Bett war Mega bequem und groß und mit dem Fahrstuhl ist es auch gar kein Problem ein Zimmer in den oberen Stockwerken zu haben und vielen Dank an den jungen Mann an der Rezeption für die lustigen Gespräche und super Tipps für Amsterdam…

Das einzige was uns nicht so gefallen hat, war die Dusche… leider keinen Schutz vor Überschwemmung des ganzen Bads und der Duschvorhang war auch nicht so unser Ding. Sehr eng alles und zweimal Kopf am Handtuchhalter gestoßen 🙈. Zimmer sind allgemein sehr klein.

The room was extremely small and the bathroom… I knocked my head so many times and the shower curtain didn’t cover the area properly and consequently area was very wet after showering. The shower rail should have been shaped to contain the shower area more efficiently.

A lovely small hotel in excellent location. Tremendous staff who were courteous, attentive, helpful and provided great advice on how to navigate Amsterdam. Very comfortable bed. No air conditioning which we’re now getting used to when staying in the old town areas of European cities. Good fan in the room. Only real drawback was the bathroom which was very small and awkward to negotiate. We’re not big people so we managed. Overall our experience was positive and we would recommend Hotel NES with the aforementioned caveats.

Bathroom typical space saving design. Therefore an awkward space in which to shower etc.

The first room I was allocated was very different from the photos I had seen before, if I had seen the photos at first I wouldn’t have picked it up the hotel. It says that is accessible by stairs only but I didn’t know I would end up on the third floor… the second bedroom was better, inside the hotel, with bathtub, however with no air conditioning.
