Been coming for years favorite place

No valet service and one day our room didn’t get cleaned

Classy hotel. Lovely comfortable room stylishly furnished and with beautiful view of the river. Very large bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Helpful professional staff.

Buffet breakfast was nice, but a few more choices would have been nice.

Location was great short walking distance to Queens Street Mall.

Good location to the water front and Queens Street, only 15 mins walk to Howard Smith Wharf and 5 min walk to the shopping precinct.

It will be perfect once all the water front construction is finished not that the property has any control over this.

Location is great if you want to travel the river and city area, easy to access City Cat and walk around the gardens. View is amazing from the floor we were on, thanks to the receptionist for the choice of room when booking us in. Easy to walk to a number of things and with local restaurants very good location. Room was clean and well maintained Pool was great, clean and beautiful view over the river

Difficult to get into the driveway with the trucks blocking entrance and driveway, had to drive around the block a number of times waiting for a truck to clear the entrance. the construction on the next building made it difficult to enjoy the beautiful outside courtyard with the noise. Every time we chose to sit outside, construction was noisy - grinding and hammering. I know it is out of your hands but it did impact on Pav Bar and outside seating area comfort and atmosphere. The work on the bridges and Eagle Street Pier cutting off the walking areas also was a nuisance and at times noisy. The joys of a city!

The variety of the breakfast was excellent and the view was great.

None of the cooked food was hot. Cold bacon, scrambled eggs and pancakes. My partner had an omelette made . That was hot and delicious.

Was sent away from booking in until after 2 pm. Would prefer to leave luggage and book in - even if I still had to wait for the room

The parking off site. When we arrived at the vehicle entrance there was no guidance on where to park while checking in and the guests that arrived after us were attended to first. After checking out, I picked up my daughter and luggage and again there was no direction on where to park.

Location and views were awesome. Loved the buffet breakfast!

The spa was broken

Always enjoy visiting the Stamford. Staff are very accommodating, the rooms are exceptional! Great central location.

The staff at the Stamford are always so accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are very comfortable even when there was 6 of us in the two rooms. We always really enjoy visiting and will be back again soon!

This place is stunning and totally exceeded expectations hands down! I couldn’t recommend this more than I already have! The peace and quiet, the way guests adhered to keep the atmosphere serene and beautiful and I didn’t want to leave!

A bit more affordable for the room I had even though it was stunning!

Location neat and tidy and quiet

Our check in got delayed since the room was not ready, we did not get on-site parking despite booking two rooms since the hotel was busy. In return we got a drinks voucher which were limited to $9 wine 🤷🏽

Location was great. Perfect for walks and nearby spots. The room was amazing with beautiful view. The food was excellent and so were the staff.

Can’t fault anything.

Great location within easy walking distance to Queen Street Mall and Eagle Street Pier. The Botanical Gardens were not even a two-minute walk from the hotel. The Foyer looked very regal and Hotel staff were friendly. The room was very clean, and I was lucky enough to get a high floor and a view of Story Bridge which was lovely. The bed had to have been one of the most comfortable and softest beds I have ever had at a hotel. Breakfast was included with the room and had plenty of selections for a buffet. Overall was a very pleasant one-night stay.

Room - size great, view absolutely stunning.

No Netflix or other streaming services. Just TV channels and radio, with only 1 or 2 options for international broadcasts. Room service menu choices limited, though all staff excellent. Miss the fabulous buffet restaurant. Air conditioning can be noisy in some rooms.

Generally, it was okay except for the check-in process

I arrived late because of the delay of the flight I took. I arrived 2:30am and tried to check in as soon as possible as I and my colleague was tired but the male receptionist did not even know the password of the computer. He was so relaxed while we were so tired and wanted to check in ASAP. It took us 25 minutes literally just to check-in and there was no other person aside from us. So laid back and it took ages just to check us in.

Location to riverwalk, restaurants, river views and cruises. In the heart of city..

Bed pillows to soft

The location is great, not too far from central station. Loved being close to the river and had a nice view of the Story Bridge. Lots of places to eat nearby. The room was also very cosy and comfortable. Check in simple.

The shower is quite small considering the large size of the bathroom. It is a little tired with a broken lampshade in the room.

I stayed in the Story Bridge Suite which had an excellent view of the Story Bridge. I liked the old-fashioned vibe of the place and enjoyed the buffet breakfast options.

Not the venue's fault but Google Maps directed me to the side entrance and I missed the check-in driveway, which led me to think they didn't have one, so I drove around the CBD at peak-hour to park in a mall carpark and walk 15min to reach check-in, which was frustrating. I didn't realise when I was booking that there were no parking facilities owned by the hotel, just a deal to park in a nearby garage (almost $50/night). I found a cheaper overnight garage a block or two away and walked my luggage over from there. Maybe I mixed up something with the switches but the bathroom had energy-saving motion-activated lights. Good idea but when I took a bath I ended up in the dark. :P

Sleep quality poor - air conditioning VERY loud. Green flashing lights on smoke detector. Saggy mattress. Needs an overhaul.

Location is fine being close to the botanical gardens

Bed was extremely uncomfortable, we paid a ridiculous amount for our 3 night stay compared to what we had paid only one week prior
