The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Having your own tea and coffee making facilities was useful with a small fridge. It's located just behind the main tourist area near the wharf so it's a good central location.

The night time lockup was not pleasant a big rolling door comes down and obviously there's no reception. It didn't turn out to be a problem in terms of services but it's just not a good look - not friendly - rather daunting. Breakfast was adequate without being sensational. The TV was set at an unusual angle to watch from the bed but there was a comfortable chair to use. At night there was some thumping party music in the medium distance which might annoy some with the window open but I got plenty of sleep.

Early checkout, noon is standard, the 10am here was too early for comfort. We were initially given a key to an occupied room! The staff gave us a new room, but that could have potentially been a very bad situation.

Nothing - if I'm being picky the bathroom is quite small and it was also a bit noisy but they're not actual complaints because it was very central and good value.

It was a cool location

No reception till 15:00. I booked for early check in, and apparently that wasn’t an option. Rude customer service, horrible “breakfast”, and woke up at 8am to hammering and drilling.

Great location, only 15 min walking from the train station, great views from the room on the wooden houses (my dream!), safe as there is a code after a certain hour of the night (11pm I believe but we were so tired with the delay of our plane we came back way before!). They also kept our luggage in a safe room after we checked out and visited Stavanger for the last few hours.
