Maybe the most beautiful urban hotel property I have ever stayed in. Just spectacular! From the staff to the rooms. All were excellent.

Place was perfect.

Good location (though not perfect if you’re looking for true full tourist experience). Rooms are massive and clean. Great staff - super friendly and helpful in recommending places to visit and eat and best methods of transportation.

Hotel is a little dated and could use a little property improvement program to update finishes and furniture.

The service was exceptional, especially the concierge André was very supportive and knew exactly what we needed. He helped a lot. Breakfast was also very delicious.

The rooms smelled a bit of cigarettes but was ok.

Pretty good location and comfy rooms. I would say it is a good choice for non-Chinese travelers (as English-speaking staff is at your service). Walking distance from subway station and with a bit of a stretch to all major landmarks in the city center as well.

Breakfast is so-so like everywhere in China. Overpriced hotel facilities.

the staff is 10 on 10 was very polite and helpful, I was when the city was reported as medium risk COVID area, they help me to go to the hospital for get the Test what I needed for flight back to my origin province The rooms ( junior suite ) very comfortable and clean Tue garden and buildings around are very good

this is was so far the best hotel I've visited in China. Excellent staff, very welcoming with attention to detail. Great and big room, the location of the hotel is right at the center of Xi'an. Also the breakfast was great and had a lot of varieties to offer.

just a very minor complaint is the lack of power sockets near the desk. But that certainly does not play a major role.

The hotel was definitely value for money! We only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer, and if given the chance, we would have booked this place again! We got a free upgrade to a suite and it was lovely! We had a very late check-in which was no problem at all and the staff was very friendly.

The bedroom was designed in such a way that when we closed the bedroom door it locked us in. It's a sliding door, and when closed, the space it left behind was blocked by the luggage rack which unfolded. It took 20mins to get us out and we had to get to a very important appointment. It was an unfortunate accident which could have been avoided.

A bit more attention when cleaning...i found someone's mask in the room when I checked in and an old wipe in the bath tub.

Great location, close to a metro station and the Muslim food street. Nice gym ( very limited ac) and pool. The room was really big and comfortable. Breakfast selection was fantastic with plenty of vegetarian options.

Food and drink options weren’t as expected, we went to koi bar for a drink but couldn’t order glasses of wine or even sparking wine even though they were on the menu. Room service finished at 11pm.

Everything was wonderful. We really enjoyed the cleanliness, the breakfasts, and evening happy hours. They surprised me with a birthday cake after I returned from my birthday dinner. It was wonderful! Also, the location is awesome. It is right in the city center - close to the Muslim quarter.

The location was good. Front desk spoke English very well and gave good advice of where to go. Very close walk to city wall and Muslim quarter. The room was a great size for me and my 2 children. Enjoyed the snacks and Happy Hour on floor 11. Pool and gym were adequate. Good price and facilities for a 5 star hotel!

Charge to play with pool toys and couldn’t take towels back to the room from the pool but other than that everything was fine.

Carpet in the rooms not very clean, a little smoke smell.

The location of the hotel in Renmin Square is very atmospheric and pleasant. It’s a short cycle or 20 min walk straight down the road to the Muslim market and wall. The room was comfortable and luxurious as you would want it to be. The breakfast was very good. All of the staff were really excellent- especially Jack on reception who was very helpful with very good English.

The location was excellent, very central. The room was superb, with all the necessities. The service of housekeeping was on point. The staff were also extremely helpful, and recovered a situation after a minor blip! Nothing was too much and they were always on hand to ensure you had a great experience. I would definitely go back again and also recommend the Hotel to family and friends.

I had to remind the staff at a certain point about the care of the client, and the fact that the reputation of the Hotel could have been tanished, after an initial, not so great situation. They recovered the overall situation and handled things well from then on, taking on board my feedback.

Staff are fantastic, very friendly and was a breath of fresh air- we celebrated our anniversary and had a congratulations bottle of wine and in upgraded room on arrival. We had a kitchen and washing machine and housekeeping even lent us a drying rack! Azur breakfast is plentiful; main menu decent and food is OK. Staff have food English and very helpful ordering cars if needed. Overall a great stay and I’d go back if I visit Xi’an again.

Azur restaurant food takes a long time and not all was present. hotel bars closed early; lobby at 8:30pm and the Japanese bar closed too although advertised late. After a long day we preferred to drink in the bar quiet rather than head out into a busy city. The other hotels on complex had bars but the weather was torrential so didn’t want to venture out.

Opulence & grandeur of Sofitel luxury.

Bacon rashers at breakfast not crispy but chewy. Too many stand up instruction/notice cards in the room - fussy. Walking distance to local shops/facilities but accept it’s a big city of over 11 million on a grand scale.

The service from the English-speaking staff was exquisite. They cleaned the room several times a day, reflilling our waters etc. Good breakfast.

The rooms were a little run down.
