Great location. Good service from staff. Staff friendly. Tapas bar was excellent and the cafe lovely.

This hotel is OLD. The rooms fall way below a standard expected it was my 5th Shanghai-la I stayed in on this trip and was by far the worst standard. Carpets were filthy and dirty, they were patched in 2 places where a new piece had been cut into the carpet to repair. The fixtures and fittings are old and the rain shower in my room didn’t work for the whole time I stayed - despite reporting it. Chipped paint and tired bathroom. Room smelt of old smoke All Shangri-la hotels have the WORST hairdryers! A small thing but other hotels have an air Dyson or similar and more efficient and better, as opposed to a one fixed into the drawer like I want to steal it! Breakfast was ok. No cereal for western eaters. Stay at Marco Polo or Langham - MUCH better standard for the money.

Room was spacious, really great breakfast, superb service. Hotel was lavishly decorated for the Lunar New Year

I specially liked the working desk in the room , this helped & motivated to work from room. Also Hotel is in great location.

Prices are still too high , Range of 300$ per night ,For such hotel it should be in range of 200$ per night.
