Lovely, if slightly untrained staff. One staff member did his best to help us with a visa issue.

Beds are incredibly hard and felt very cheap. Room was a good size. Food in the cafe was sup-par but breakfast was good.

Great location and great service

Room service was not up to standard but me as hotelier also understand that property was very busy so that might be reason of slow down service.

Breakfast was great. Plenty of items to choose from. Didn't use the pool, instead enjoyed the beach just outside. Room arrangement was good. Very comfortable beds and large sized pillows make you even more comfy.

No mats by the side of the bed. Though not interested in watching TV, just noticed that the picture was stalling and "no signal" appearing very frequently.

Очень хорошая локация, номера просторные, хорошая кухня, волны есть, но купаться можно вполне, вода мутновата, но это из-за впадающей рядом реки, по которой очень рекомендую поплавать на лодке, в целом очень хорошо

Персонал на ресепшен замечательный, что касается официантов, здесь были вопросы, чтобы сделать заказ приходится иногда за ними побегать, и желательно еще пару раз напомнить, иначе можно и два часа прождать.

The only thing I liked was the food. It had varieties for European people who cannot handle spices. Very very decent options. For HB or can get only coffee or tea in the morning, but lunch or dinner only water for beverages. Everything is extra!

I think it turned to be the worst experience among the hotels I have been so far. As a chain branch Barselo it is the worst in accommodation (they mentioned renovation, but I think he only that was done is the wall paper). The rest was super old, smelly, mold, very very old fashion phone, hairdryer that barely worked, the room was shabby, the locker for money was not working at all. Water was barely licking to have a shower. The beach was thilfy, noone takes care. Behind the gated territory there are constant sellers who check up on you what you do and stare that makes you not safe being there as a lady. There was no internaimnet though the options are there to use. Barely some people speak good English to understand. I met some people who faced problems in communication and I managed to help them to translate, but only going around and around with staff you end up meeting the manager at the end. And that's another story of him! *He is not a man of his words for sure. Lately they have changed the system and the customers who used the services got charged way more that before with extra taxes and services. This man promised to return the amount that was overcharged to my friends (a mother and his wheelchair boy) and I have just realized bothering was done to reduce the price and return the mount. It is something can not be accepted. *Be aware that spa changes ++ above the price you pay for the massage. Meaning the add illegally extra charges and SERVICE! fee. They send the bill directly to the reception and when you see the price it is not 40$ but 53…! They could not provide the licence for the third party spa. *All questions there are meant to deal last minute before your leave meaning that you have no chance but to give the money to the hotel. Staff can not explain the reasons of the price difference and it takes days to understand it. All transportation is held by one person there. And prices are dubbled!

The room allocated to us was different from the pictures in the booking site for the same room category. There were two single beds instead of one large bed even if we have requested a one large bed at the time of booking. Therefore it was difficult to sleep with a kid. And the mattresses were very hard. Even we requested a change of mattresses they did not even try to do so. We had to make a special request to fix the lights and the TV connection. The glass windows which were meant to give a good view were not cleaned properly. So the view was terrible. Bathroom is very small.

Without a doubt this is the best property of Bentota. I had booked a suite room for us as it was our anniversary. 1. To start with the property - Ideally situated in the heart of Bentota with an excellent architecture having a serene and captivating view! 2. The staff - Every staff member we encountered, from the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help! Thank you for the exquisite food and special Biryani and Chicken curry -Chef Deepal De Alwis, Manager Mahesh for considerations and our special requests and complimentary beverages., At the Reception - Niroshan, Tanya and Janani for decorating and upgrading our room to pent house. 3. The room- The dreamy view one would always wish for when staying in a beach facing room. Panaromic view which faced the pool and the beach. The breezy winds and blessing of blooms could be witnessed from the room. 3. The food- Unmatched flavours of the continent and Lanka ! The taste lingers on till the next meal. Well prepared meals with beautiful presentation. The cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Well, Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide spread and wonderful dessert. We recommend it to everyone! I would like to come back here repeatedly!!!
