We have been to the Piersland on a few occasions now and have enjoyed every one. We love the location close to the sea and the golf courses. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful, happy to chat and make you feel valued. What's not to like!

My husband enjoyed the Hearty Scottish breakfast but I'm not really a breakfast person. From my point of view I would like to see more of a variety of fresh fruit at breakfast. However, you have the fastest toast machine that I have encountered in any hotel, so that was great.

rooms are fantastic as are the staff. Stayed here many times over the last 10 years and never had any problems. Also food is excellent

Great location, with 2 golf courses walking distance from the hotel. One being Royal Troon. Lodge room was excellent, a walk up to the main hotel where you can read up on Johnnie Walker and the whisky journey, the cabinet showing you a variety of tipples to quench your thirst.

Location was fabulous and the grounds were beautiful.

Sorry to say but dinner prices were rather high in relation to the food received.

Lovely hotel with a great staff looking after you .The meals were excellent.Have been a few times and will certainly be back .

-7c outside and the lodge I stayed in never warmed up felt cold and damp, didn’t feel like there was insulation to trap in the heat from the radiators ,would have scored higher except for this

Stayed for Christmas in a Mews room which was comfortable and warm. Not their fault but the weather was grim and we got soaked every time we went out for a walk, so it was lovely to have warm accommodation and to have a nice hot bath on our return. There was always oodles of hot water. The hospitality tray in the room is nice with cookies, hot chocolate and horlicks as well as tea and coffee. Bottled water is also provided. We were surprised that housekeeping came in on Christmas day and refilled everything and left clean towels. The breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit salad, fruit compote and whole fruits, yoghurts, pastries, muffins, toast, cheese and ham, full cooked breakfast. I particularly enjoyed having smoked salmon for breakfast.

No complaints.

Food was fantastic. Stayed in one of the small cottages with our 3 kids, it was ideal. Staff are extremely helpful.
