Property is very well located being on the beach of maragogi, the one thing Booking.com fails to mention is that , maragogi beach is not safe to bath due to fecal matter contamination due to sewer discharges from the nearby rivers onto the seas , this is according to recent analysis by the health department, please check. Just for this reason alone Booking.com should not label this property as excellent!!

Property is very run down, improvisation at its best, breakfast was very poor, a very unusual situation was the fact we had bags of poison for cockroaches in the room on top of the fridge, this is is unacceptable to a premises in which you grade excellent, furthermore, it’s very alarming when one gets to the counter to check in and finds the counter staff has my credit card information along with my security code written on a peace of paper, I never gave my credit card information to the hotel, totally unacceptable!!! The hotel manager told me that Booking.com passed the information to them, another violation!!! It is against the law to communicate and retain credit card information without the person’s consent in which I never gave !! I don’t condemn the establishment , however, I believe Booking.com has a lot to do with the discontent and how they rate these places and try to influence the consumer in the very false way., this as not been the first time I experienced wrong found by Booking.com on how they advertise hotels. I will never think about using Booking.com for the reasons mentioned above.

The hotel is very good, quiet and peaceful. It is simple but it has everything you need to enjoy a great staying. The highlights are the location and the staff. All the staff, receptionists, bartenders, waiters and cleaners, all of them super friendly and helpful, score 10/10 :) It is very well located in an amazing and quiet beach, excellent to rest. The water is crystal clear. It is perfect to watch the sunrise early morning and then go for a walk in the beach. The amenities are also good, the pool is clean, the rooms are comfy and the hotel has some trees and nature that makes it pleasant to sit outside and just enjoy the breeze drinking some caipirinhas! The food is good, some days it was really delicious but in the average I would say it is good. Awesome breakfast. The drinks at the beach are delicious and again, the staff is super helpful and provided an outstanding service. We had awesome days here and I would highly recommend this hotel for everyone!

The downside for me was the cleaning of the shore close to the hotel and the surroundings of the property. It is important to notice that this is not only their problem. I can’t understand how guests can littering the own property they are staying at, it is unacceptable. Some people has zero respect. But, as we have these dirty people and unfortunately can’t get rid of them, it is responsibility of the hotel to clean it and while I was there I could see cigarettes butts, plastics, lids, napkins and other stuff. Cleanliness can be improved and they must put as many “do not littering the environment” signs as possible, in every corner within the property so the dirty people would pay attention and respect it. Other thing was that in some days they removed the ‘à la carte’ option and only offered the buffet. But I asked the staff if they could help me and they promptly provided a solution if I wish to order my food instead choosing buffet. Again, the property is really good and these issues mentioned above were minor issues.
