I just liked the location as it was close to the city centre.

The bedroom was tiny with windows in the rooftop which didn’t allow me to have a look to the nearby river. It also felt me feel claustrophobic. The three of us couldn’t sleep at all as it was so hot in the small bedroom. No one to ask for a spare pillow or whatever. We needed to go downstairs two floors to reach the bathroom without an elevator in the building.no toiletries in the bathroom.Breakfast was poor and they even asked you to do the washing dishes.

excellent location and very clean - rather warm in the attic rooms and a little bit of a trek to the bathroom from 'the gods' but fan provided in the room and bathrooms well maintained. Did not use kitchen so cannot comment.

glasses/water provided in room - a long way to trek to fill up water when up in the (hot) attic rooms and bathrooms only have warm mixer taps.

The lication was superb and the place was very clean friendly staff. Would book again if return to Cardiff

Exceptionally clean,kitchen and bathrooms were great dont let the shared bathrooms put you off as they are enclosed personal cubicles and very clean and spacious.Comfy beds and great location for the principality Stadium which we were going to for a concert. Also very close to the city centre!! Owners are very responsive to messages and do their best to help if anything is wrong or if you just want to ask questions 😁

The stairs!! We were on the 3rd floor although there was double the amount of stairs you would think of for 3 floors up.....steep and narrow, especially if you're carrying heavy suitcases! Also we were in the roof space room with only 2 small velux windows in and it was extremely hot in there more so when we had to close them because of the rain,owners very helpful though and got us an extra fan for the next night.

Location is everything. This one is literally in the heart of Cardiff. Very clean facility. Excellent riverside views available depending on room. Resembles a house and gives a homely experience.

I was visiting to go to a concert at the nearby stadium. Perfect distance to the stadium. Everything was always clean. Bed was very comfortable.

Desk in room was too small. I was a little uncomfortable doing my work in the room. Stairs are steep and narrow. The closest store with food is 10-20 minutes walking distance away. I wish that there were snacks for purchase. Shower was very small and didn’t have shelves to put my stuff on, so I had to put products on the shower floor.

the kitchen was spotless, same as the toilets and room. The location was fantastic and our stay was just amazing, the price was very affordable too considering all said :)

Very nice owners and staff and perfect location! Being less than 10 minutes walk to the central station (and city center) but still in a quieter area makes The Riverhouse a perfect starting point to explore Cardiff and surroundings with public transport. The hostel is very clean and everything is in a very good state. Breakfast is good value for 4 GBP. Check in and out is completely contactless and there is no reception but it was no problem, everything was working fine and is well explained before arrival.

I was a bit surprised to find a bunk bed in my Double or Twin room since it was not mentioned in the description and the photos on booking.com are a mixture of all room types offered. But it was no problem since the beds were comfortable. The staircase is quite steep and narrow - no problem for me but should be taken into account by people who have difficulties walking stairs.

Very friendly owners and staff, the breakfast was great and the facilities including the bathrooms / showers were great!. I'd recommend this place to anyone who visits Cardiff. If we go back for another holiday we'll be sure to stay here again.

I didn’t sleep too well the whole time I was there, the room was too warm and there was a boiler or something in a cupboard making noise too. I also didn’t find the bed that comfy.

Everything was fantastic! The room was very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and very nice, and the location is great.

I have no complaints!

The property was SO clean and the location was fantastic, within walking distance of sights, buses and train.

It felt very odd to move into a place with no humans about.

Very clean, everyone we came into contact with, including the cleaners, were very polite. Small walk into town, nice TV with all streaming services. Quiet in the evenings.

The only negative I have, which is just a personal preference, was only one pillow on the single bed but slept well.

The breakfast was absolutely fine the location is perfect for city centre and train station and spot on for principality stadium which is exactly why we were there
