Chambre idéalement située dans le village, calme et propre. Très bon accueil, balcon avec très jolie vue et possibilité de prendre le petit déjeuner dans le restaurant attenant.

The location is very good, located in village center. There is a bus, one stop taking from train station to the village. The room is clean and comfortable. Very nice experience staying in the village, only few minutes walk to the castle.

The location was nice and the beds were comfortable. The building had charm and the town had charm.
Our room smelled like sewage from the first time we flushed the toilet, after checking in. It was so strong that we ended up checking out of the room first thing in the morning. We were supposed to stay another evening but we couldn't imagine any more time in it. We had three rooms booked. The rooms did not have AC and with the temps in the mid 80s they were like saunas. Overall, not a good experience. Bed were comfortable but we couldn't get comfortable from the smell in our room and the heat in the other rooms.

Right in the middle of Gruyère. The bathroom was almost as big as the room; very clean.
The restaurant that was attached to the guesthouse was overly expensive, for example, two croissants and two coffees cost 18 swizz francs

Location
no parking offered. so it was pretty tiring to move the heavy luggage on the cobble stone street. The room has dark carpet which makes it look a bit gloomy and scruffy.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming at check-in, the location was great, The room was big with a spa tub and amazing view of the mountains.
Slightly inconvenient location to bring luggage up and down the big cobble stone hill. There was also a lot of noice coming from downstairs/the kitchen around 1/2am which made it hard to sleep.

Nothing about the property, just that in Gruyères getting luggage up can be tricky due to parking restrictions, etc.

The staffs are really nice and helpful. They can suggest options to make our stay more pleasant. They also give further information about the area which help us plan our activities. We also have dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel and it was lovely.
The bath in the room was a little dusty but this was no big deal.

despite we came after the check-in official time, where was not a problem at all - we got our key at the restaurant downstairs.
breakfast was amazing.
the only thing we were missing during our stay was the minibar.

We enjoyed staying at a historical building in the right center of Gruyères, the room was cozy and decorated as a typical Swiss chalet, very clean and comfy. Loved the views to the main fountain from the room.
As a guest you also get 10% off at the souvenir shop and the restaurant.
Nothing, everything went smoothly and I would totally book again this hotel.

It’s right inside the medieval tiny town of Gruyeres, at the top of a hill. underneath is the gift store and above that are the hotel rooms. Breakfast is two doors down at another hotel. The castle is five minutes away. It’s a good value for the money.
The 20-minute walk from the train or bus station uphill to Gruyère is extremely steep. Walking it by yourself is no problem, but if you have luggage, then take the #260 bus. Alternately, lodge down in Pringy and simply visit Gruyère for a few hours. It takes about an hour to tour the maybe 30 houses of Gruyères, plus another 1-2 hours to see the castle.
It’s a lovely and romantic area!

Fabulous studio apartment with stunning views over the mountains. Lovely little balcony to sit out on. Fully equipped kitchen, huge bedroom. Just wonderful. (we moved into this room after a couple of nights in a room to the front of the hotel, so glad we did!)

At the restaurant, it's not the fault of the waitresses, they were very kind and helpful but it seemed understaffed - the wait times for service were long even for European standards

The location within the historic town was great! The wood-panelled room had a real alpine vibe and was plenty spacious. Great bathroom and lots of cozy touches throughout.
