It was clean and the location was amazing.

My only concern was that at night the property can be easily accessed by anyone. During the night the door of the villa is open and easily accessed, no code nor a key needed.

The hotel is in a stunning location, just above Vevey with great views of Lac Léman. It has a good restaurant and bar.

I left early morning having battled (to no avail) to get some hot water for a shower. I reported this to the front desk who “took note” but not a word of apology was uttered. so whilst I waited for the public bus (there is no taxi or a shuttle service to Vevey) I asked for a coffee. Was I offered a complimentary atonement? Absolutely not! This is, after all a Coop hotel and the front desk must be staffed with tellers from the supermarket. It left a bitter taste - no style, no customer service it’s just a glorified student accommodation with a nice view.

First, we arrived after the front desk closed. There was a lock box for our key, but the bartender at the hotel bar was nice enough to show us how to get our key, how to find our room, and demonstrated how you had to put the key in the slot near the door to activate the room lights. Also, the breakfast we paid extra for was WAY beyond the usual European continental breakfast. There was a wide variety of hot foods in addition to an incredible selection of breads and croissants. Front desk and bartender spoke adequate English (BTW, they speak French in Vevey, unlike Basel where it is German). Also, the Charlie Chaplin estate/museum is minutes away and well worth the visit if you are a film buff.

Room was not as well lit as many hotels, but adequate.

Room was very clean with modern furnishings and design as well a beautiful view even from the side of the building towards the mountains and valley.

The staff could have been friendlier, and I stayed in this hotel with plan to have a dinner meeting with a colleague who works in the region but learned the restaurant wasn't accessible due to a conference going on. Also the hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill so if you have luggage and are relying on public transportation be prepared to walk up the hill with your luggage. The staff offers no help with this.

The hotel is excellent IF you are given a room at the hotel and not in the Villa. Awesome view from the common parts.

The hotel is excellent. The problem is that the information given in plateforms such as Booking.com ends up not being accurate. The hotel has some rooms in a Villa behind the hotel's parking lot. I have stayed in the hotel before and have requested the same type of room as usual - design room with balcony and view to the lake. The confirmation shows the room I requested. But the day I arrived, I was given a room in the Villa, behind the hotel and the car parking. It had a view to the lake (and the car parking) but it was not nice, rather a cold room from a 70's hotel. Also for someone with Heart issues, it was not a good idea to have to climb the hill to the Villa. Basically it was not a good experience getting something different from what was requested. It was not worth the tour or the price. Next time I will make sure that the booking is for the hotel and not for the Villa

The place for check in and the room is far, they dont have lift and bellboy to help us bring the big luggage so we must struggle for that lol But overall was so good, nice staff and one of best hotel in montreux.
