Tom and the staff were the most helpful I have meet for the longest time.

As others have said, included is a lovely breakfast, good facilities (accurately described), nice bath and a cosy room. The pub was noisy but it couldn't be heard at all from the room. Overall, a really great place to spend a night or two.

Arrived really late as was travelling for work and the staff could not have been more helpful. Even though the kitchen would soon be finishing they happily seated my wife and I in a quiet table in the restaurant as they felt I might need some quiet as I had my laptop. Food was excellent the room was lovely and the staff’s attentiveness and service rivals any hotel with the highest star rating. Well done!

Car parking was a little way away from the pub, not a great issue as cheap rate for parking and not too far away

We stayed in room 1 with view of the high street and it was incredible. It has been thoughtfully decorated with freestanding bath in large separate bathroom, a separate equipped kitchen with table and chairs and a lovely bedroom with large bed and period furniture. Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic and served in a local artisan cafe offering freshly made warm scones, fruit, nuts etc followed by a large choice of cooked breakfasts. We can't wait to return.

Absolutely nothing, and as we were staying overnight on a Saturday we found a parking space on the main street at 5.0 pm and therefore had free parking all day Sunday.

Room was excellent.

Staff were rude. Restaurant was very disappointing.

The rooms were really lovely. However, we had two rooms booked, one king size for my daughter and family, and one double for us. I felt that the smaller room should have been less expensive than the other one- but they were the same price. All the staff were super lovely.

The lack of parking was a real pain.

Very good room, large, with kitchen and dining area. Comfy bed, excellent breakfast at Byfords included. Staff were very friendly and efficient. nice dinners in the Would definitely stay there again.

Only snag was the bathroom. the shower was over the bath and the bath had very high sides so made stepping into it a bit difficult. For safety it could have done with a handrail, although due to the layout this may be difficult. Not a deal breaker for us but something to consider

The room was absolutely lovely, very clean and spacious with all the facilities you could want. Staff were very efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely and breakfast at Byfords was also very good. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return. Thank you
