My stay in Sheraton Santo Domingo was wonderful 5star experience. Among pros was the greeting “Welcome to Sheraton!” upon arrival, which was nice and pleasant. The room was with the view on a magnificent sunset, and with a bathtub, which is excellent. The temperature in the shower was really hot, which is great as sometimes there are problems with that and easy to control! The sauna really was to the highest level with 100 degrees, which really also made my stay.

Nevertheless, there are some drawbacks: 1. the room which I had, possessed a door in between the rooms, and I could hear my neighbours. 2. the pool area is closed at 20:00 pm and by that I mean the whole second floor area around the pool, which is under the sky. I mean it was just 20:00 and these are the premises of the hotel, why am I not allowed just to walk around and talk on my phone there? Was the hotel really build that way and these rules planned from the beginning that the guests can not appreciate it’s only open area already at 20:00? I strongly advice you reconsider that. For example in Catalonia hotel nearby guests are allowed to be around the pool till very late and people do spend time around illuminated pool under the stars and sky, it is just beautiful. May be the ratings will boost after you reconsider your closing times of that area.

The hotel is very nice, room was spacious and clean. Housekeeping excellent. Enjoyed the bar in the evening.

Check-in was not so great, the staff seemed annoyed and not so accommodating. Also the buffet breakfast was not as good as last year. The assortment of items was just ok. Not worth the money to me.

The air conditioner did not work, and no light in the bathroom. Never again will I stay at the Sheraton SDQ.

the hotel is quite old, the bathrooms in the rooms are very small and bad. You also have a problem with the internet because if you don't use your phone you are immediately logged out automatically from the internet. the service in the hotel and the service this time was quite good, but the hotel certainly does not deserve the rating it has on booking

Loved the breakfast. I was staying for a wedding that connected to the Renaissance Hotel, and the security team was super helpful in opening the connecting door for us, so that we would not have to be on the street and safety after the party the wedding night. Thank you!

The store next of the bar did not have any staff.

Breakfast is great they have a good variation. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are amazing.The staff is great Felix the bell boy was so nice and welcoming with me and my kids.
