Beautiful view! The staff was ultra nice trying to accommodate all of our needs and being helpful every time we needed something. The rooms are basic, but very confy.

The Wifi being shut down at 11pm is a bit weird, but it was good while it lasted.

I love the place! It’s very clean and cozy! Location is perfect - very quiet with beautiful views. Staff is super friendly, helpful and polite. Food was delicious and vegetarian options available. I had an amazing weekend there and I can recommend 100%! I love everything about this place and I hope I will come back

It was spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Tasty food. Breathtaking views. Super nice staff. Very good bus connections and a cable car to every mountaintop. The whole area is just a paradise for mountain lovers.

We made a last minute decision to go to Appenzeller and had a pleasant stay in this simple but charming family hotel. I absolutely recommend it for its location. We enjoyed our beers from the terrace, overlooking the mountains, Appenzeller landscape, farmers harvesting their hay. There is a natural swimming pond just a stroll away and the environment invites for days of hiking. The hotel is old which inherently comes with some squeaking of the floor and doors but this added to the charm. We had a quiet and peaceful night. No traffic to be heard. The rooms are simple but comfortable, very clean with good beds. This is not a posh hotel with fancy food but a family business that is run with warmth. And they have excellent homemade apple pie and ice cream !
