Jose the proprietor was super nice and helpful! Birds everywhere. walking distance to restaurants and Catarata waterfall (gorgeous hike! highly recommend).

Occasionally a little noise from road but would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful view, comfortable rooms and Jose was very attentive and helpful. It was quiet and very relaxing. Excellent traditional breakfast every day.

The location was slightly out of the way. But with a hire car it wasn't a problem. One of the rooms had a coffee machine but the other didn't.

The viee is grrat, the spaces were clean and confortsble. José was an excellent, really helpful host. Strongly recommend.

No hot water, very cold at night and the cabins are old with thin walls, so you hear the wind making noise at night.

The views were amazing. The room was clean and comfortable and the beds were great. The breakfast was ok, and the owner was very helpful with anything we asked of him.

We couldn’t get any hot water from the shower so be prepared for a cold one! Nothing to do with the property really, but it was very windy (unseasonably so).

The breakfasts were homemade by the family who run the lodge and they were quite tasty. Jose' was very helpful and accommodating and suggested some superb out trips for us. We loved that the location was near many attractions at Monteverde and we took adavantage of many of them. We would happily stay at Bella Vista again on our next trip to Costa Rica!

The only thing we didn't love was the water temperature in the shower. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't 'hot'. It loomed somewhere in the tepid to warm range. The lodge is on a hill with cool temps outside and very windy so the cool water was a lttle "Brrrr!" for us. Still, we loved this place and the fact that we got the entire 'mini-house' to ourselves.

cannot fault this place. Ideally located just outside Santa elena so nice and quiet but walkable to sodas, shops and restaurants. Very cheap for 5 minute taxi to centre of town (1500 colones). View from the lodges is outstanding. The rooms are nice and clean and there’s seating outside to enjoy the view or watch sunset. Great breakfast delivery to your room included. Best thing about this place is the customer service which is second to none! Jose goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. He organises trips for you, sorts taxis and he even rang round town to retrieve my glasses that I lost and delivered them to my door! Near to cloud forest reserve and monteverde waterfall, and free shuttles to zip lining etc arranged by Jose. If staying in Monteverde this is the place to stay!!

The host was amazing! so friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions and helped us book transit and tours with a big smile on his face. a real good value for the money.

the location is perfect, the view from the lodge was amazing! we were there for new years eve and there was a nice little concert organized. it was our honeymoon and we had a super adorable gift when we arrived, we felt very welcome it was so so nice!
