The location and the big room

Maria helped us with parking and checking in. She was extremely helpful and went out of her way to answer all the questions we had including upgrading us to a better room as 3rd floor was a bit of a challenge for us. Very good homemade breakfast with a very good variety of fruits. Obrigada Maria!!

The location was excellent, and the property was beautiful. The breakfast room/lounge area was very nice as well and the staff is fantastic. we had friends staying there as well and they had a very positive experience also.

We had a room on the very top floor that was somewhat awkward with a ceiling that was low and we that had to be duck to get into the main bed room. The bathroom plumbing allowed some sewer gas back onto the bathroom which was unpleasant. we think this was unique to this particular room. Also, you have to walk the full flight of stairs to get checked in, although the staff was very helpful and carrying up the luggage. They do have a dumbwaiter to use to transport luggage to the higher floors.

The staff was very kind and open to our requests, and the place was cute. Good breakfast and comfortable room.

Breakfast only started at 8:30, but the staff was so helpful to leave our breakfast inside our fridge when we needed to leave earlier. There is no lift for people (only a small one for the luggage).

No elevator .. 4 flights of stairs and basic decor, very hard to find not an obvious hotel.. just a door.

Clean, stylish, authentic

This hotel is most probably old buildings, our room looked like a small apartment, we liked it a lot. We have fridge and teapot there. Bed was big and comfortable. Girls at reception were very friendly, helped as a lot to order the taxi to the airport, and in general always asked us is everything OK. Really liked it there. Location is as well great.

Our room was at the last floor, and ceiling was law, for someone who has up to 160 it is fine, but for someone who has 197cm not so much but it is doable, plus I admit that we were advised about it in advance. Our room was cleaned only once, noone changed our towels, and noone made our bed. Don't care about the bed, bad to have fresh towels would be nice, because our old one were not dry enough just by hanging somewhere in the room. One more thing, I suggest to add information that hotel doesn't have an elevator (only small one for suitcases), as it was old building the starirs I high, and if you will live as us at the last floor it can be qute an exercise, for us it was fine as we are young couple, but I think it could be important for olde couples :)

Great location. Room comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and helpful starting when we walked in and dropped off our luggage with Carla (who also took good care of the breakfast buffet the mornings we were there). Gabi and Sara, separately, offered suggestions for what to do and where to eat, which we were glad that we heeded!

Staff were so friendly and helpful as turned up to property well before check in time and parking etc was shown and explained to us, welcomed with a complementary drink and nothing was too much trouble for staff. Breakfast was top quality ingredients and again staff so helpful in offering cooked eggs etc.
