I loved my experience there. The atmosphere is so welcoming. The people around is really nice. The staff was just friendly. Food excellent- felt like home made. The thing that i really appreciated was how the dog was kept. They were friendly and free. Thank you so much for this experience. Totally worth it.

Honestly everything was great.

Amazing place. Lots of greenery, herb garden, a library by the river and lots of other places and details to observe. Very interesting bar concept - self-service based on trust. Excellent Mauritian food with lovely staff. We enjoyed it very much.

Definitely worth a visit for something a little different. So much to do on site, planned hikes, mountain bikes with the highlight being the kayaks along the GRSE, monkey's and fruit bats also made a visit. The staff were helpful and welcoming and the food was amazing. The tents were comfortable and spacious.

the boat trip to Ile aux Cerfs, the trip was lovely and peaceful but the beach was not what I expected, cramped with other groups and not the idyllic location I had read about. It was telling that nearly all the group had returned to wait for the boat with nearly an hour before its arrival.

Everything was wonderful, the staff, the place, the food. This place is located in a very authentic area of Mauritius. Nature everywhere. We love it!!! Thank to Karen for the welcome, Alex and all the others for the lovely interactions during dinner outside around bonfire and bbq. You are all the best! ❤

beautiful glamping tents on the river - with amazing, caring staff and an overall familiar feeling. daily trips to the island were a huge plus. dinners were amazing!

The staff were all extremely helpful and welcoming and the whole atmosphere was relaxing and idyllic. They gave us great guidance for walks and cycles in the local area, and being able to use the kayaks to get to the nearby waterfall was amazing. The breakfast and food generally was amazing and the fresh home made omelettes were fantastic. The evening food is varied and there is plenty to eat. It’s great that non alcoholic beverages are included throughout the day if you eat a main meal with them.

There could have been more vegetarian selection during the meals.

it was noisy at night but only closer to the morning (we had a room next to the road but only ) during the middle of the night it was quiet

Had read reviews about the food there being good but we were all still very pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. Really good variety, lots of fresh vegs grown on site. The staff was all incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole experience was so relaxed from the beginning, no formal check in or forms to fill in, the honesty bar concept, all the equipment freely available, no queuing up or reserving in advance and obviously the beautiful and peaceful surroundings

1) The dogs on site - I totally understand the property being animal-friendly but the 3 resident dogs constantly going under our table at meal times and poking our legs was a little too much. Plus the kids were distracted, and petting animals while eating (poor hygiene). In my opinion, the dogs shouldn’t be allowed at the restaurant site during meal times 2) children meals - even though the adult meals were exceptionally delicious and varied, the children options were much more limited and could be more varied.

The stay was wow, beautiful different type of trees and flowers, nice well build Tent Villa, friendly and helpful staff, different facilities and activities areas, close to airport, the system in the hotel make you feel at home and between family, many epic areas for taking photos and selfi , many hammock and outdoor setting area

The Food was authentic and amazing. The Staff was friendly and really helpful. And I love the tent. It was so cozy and the sourrunding area so beautiful with love for Details. I would defently recommend this to everyone that visits Mauritius!

The best experience in Mauritius, no doubt about it. In an island full of very touristic - and very impersonal - resorts and hotels, Otentic really helped us in connecting more with the locals and the nature. The place is one of the most relaxing I have ever been too, the tents have everything you may need, the food is amazing and very cheap (we had the best meals of the vacation), they offer lot of activities/services for free (kayaks, trip to Ile aux Cerfs, snorkeling, etc.) and, in general, the atmosphere is super relaxed. The best part is the staff: the guys who work there are amazing, very helpful and nice with us, we really felt welcome and they even took us to see a wonderful sunset on a hill nearby, just because they wanted to show us how beautiful the sorroundings are! Thanks especially to Alex and Serge!

I cannot recommend this place high enough. The atmosphere is just amazing, the staff is incredibly nice and the food is the best we had during our stay in Mauritius. This is the non-touristy way of experiencing Mauritius and Mauritian friendliness. If you like kayaking down a river to a waterfall, sit around a fireplace with seggae music and a couple of beers, meeting new people from all over the world or be taken on a pickup up the sugarcane field to see one of those unforgettable Mauritian sunsets, this is the place for you. Thanks for the great experience Alex and Phillip, we will be back.
