Bar and front door staff very good

The worst reception staff imaginable Rude and abrupt on arrival at 1230, your rooms are not available you must wait till after 1500 They refused to make a restaurant booking for me They tried to fiddle me on currency exchange suggesting that pound sterling rates were the same as euros

Nicely renovated hotel in what I think is one of the nicer areas of Port of Spain, near attractions and local shops. There are a couple of pleasent reasurants on site and the pool area is well presented. Great views for breakfast. The staff were helpful in accomodating me as a arrived before the normal check in time. Particularly good hotel guide in the room, which was more informative and practically useful than many others.

The room was relatively small, alhough fairly modern. The breakfast selection is more limited than at many comparable hotels. It didn't really bother me, but I could hear the main building aircon fans going all night, as they were situated a little below my room.

Poor wifi in the room.

Friendly and helpful staff....clean and well kept hotel and pool .

The staff were fantastic, my mum had a room at the rear of the hotel and this was dead quite. I would say that all of the staff were friendly and would help with anything you asked.

The room was facing the road and you could hear that and a barking dog at 04:00 every day.

We arrived on a very late flight so it was 3am by the time we made it to the Kapok, but the staff were very accommodating and helpful at check in despite the late hour. The next morning we were late getting up and the staff called to check if we wanted breakfast and brought some to our room - such great service! Our room was really comfortable and clean and we would definitely recommend the Kapok if you want to stay in Port of Spain.

Breakfast was yummy. I like that they provide Trini food for breakfast and fresh local fruits. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable and firm. Dinner was good too.

Not necessarily the hotel, but I think the installation of the air conditioning may have been faulty as it was leaking water to our bedroom, albeit happens during rainy season. Thankfully a dehumidifier was provided and sorted out the trick.
