Great character and tons of charm.
Really cold on arrival, and it took all evening to warm up.
Only one bed was made up with an electric blanket, we had to dig the other blanket out of the storage cupboard to dress the 2nd bed ourselves. No place for storing clothes in the second bedroom, not even a hook on the back of a door a hang an item.

Just feel it could do with a few more luxury touches, to validate the price position.

Historic exterior. Handy to everything. Off street parking. Good heating. Plenty off space inside and out.
No milk, no face cloths, no tissues. Cleaning not very good. Toilet cistern bowl and seat need replacing. Water needs a filter as smells and tastes bad. Windows onto beach side back alley need frosting as veiw is not good and people can and do come and peer through.

the location was perfect - in the heart of Akaroa. it had good parking, so we could leave our car - and we could easily walk to most places. We had lots of space, and the spa bath was a welcome feature.
It wasn’t very private once all the curtains were open.

the location by the sea and township was perfect and I loved the history of the place
So you know I’m telling everything: a new tea towel is needed as it doesn’t dry dishes properly. Everything else was amazing!

Great location, great place to stay. Perfect for our family get away. Views and scenery out of this world.
Best place to go for a great platter and gin tasting was the Akaroa Craft Distillery -highly recommended.
The only thing we could say that was a negative that it was so cold. The heat pump although was going 24/7 barely heated the place. The electric blanket on one of the beds, only half of it worked.
The food / cafes were a bit of a disappointment ...if you are foody people not the place to visit for great food.

Location was great. Real central to shops and cafes. Was a special weekend for a friend's birthday
The Kitchen was a little disappointing. A larger microwave perhaps one that you could grill in. It would have been good to have a vacuum cleaner on site as we had croissant and the pastry made a mess I would have like to clean it up

value for money.$550 per night seemed very expensive considering it does need updating, non serviced and appliances need updating . cooker didn’t work properly. the jug leaked .
i just thought for the money it needs to be more on point
