Meloyne and Callie ensured their home was prepared for us to have an amazing and relaxing vacation. Their hospitality was top notch! The home was clean, had all the necessary amenities and was in a great location. The pool was a highlight of the home. Each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a PLUS and the outside bathroom by the pool was a nice touch too! For any issues we had, we received a quick and favorable response. Richie, the house manager, was amazing as well. All were very kind and we hope to return!

We could not have been more pleased with our recent trip to Isla and our stay at Castillo Del Mar. There were 10 of us total, 2 couples, each with 3 kiddos age ranging from 5 years to 11 years and the house was perfect for us. All of the rooms were very comfortable and had a private bathroom, as well as patio and amazing views. The property managers (Melonye and Callie) went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and address any needs or questions we might have. We were able to order groceries ahead of time, so the fridge was stocked upon our arrival and they offered plenty of suggestions for yummy places to eat and enjoy! Having the private pool was definitely one of the best parts- after being at the beach and exploring the island all day, the pool was a perfect spot to come back and relax while the kids played. I can't say enough good things about Melonye, her team and the way this property is managed- I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is looking for an awesome place to stay on the island. We will definitely be back!

Property was as advertised - adequately equipped kitchen, bathrooms, towels, etc. Property owner and house manager were incredibly attentive and helpful prior to and during our stay. Melony was the perfect host. Set up all our arrival needs, taxis, golf carts, had the groceries delivered. House was perfect for our large group, hosted a dinner party there and she made sure she was there to assist with setup. Made great recommendations for food and entertainment and very responsive to all our questions. The pool was perfect for lounging, lots of outdoor and indoor accommodations. I highly recommend Castilla Del Mar and look forward to our return!!

Fabulous!!!! Melonye and Richie are very attentive and always promptly available with answers or recommendations. The house was lovely and suited our family with plenty of space inside and out. The kitchen was well appointed which was much appreciated, the first time ever we had chip clips!!! The view out the kitchen window is amazing. It is an easy in and out house, the location is convenient to small stores for fresh eggs, fruit, tortillas and beer. Walking is easy, we added a golf cart to have an option for farther adventures. The beautiful view from all the comfortable bedrooms is amazing, each having having their own bath is like enjoying a hotel room within a house. The pool area was used day and night, appreciated the beach towels and the available cooler. Looking to our next visit already!

Melonye handled everything for us from transportation to/from the Island, reserving the golf carts having the villa stocked with our requested groceries and many helpful recommendations during our stay. There were 11 of us staying in the villa and we all had plenty of room and privacy when needed. We would highly recommend this Villa to any travelers.

Castillo Del Mar was the perfect place for our group of 10. The house had everything we needed for our Christmas vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and we had plenty of towels. The pool and view are beautiful. The hosts are very friendly and took great care of us. We would definitely go back again!

We had a wonderful stay for the week of Halloween! I can't say enough about Callie and Melonye. We had a couple mishaps and they were so easy to contact and help us when needed. Great place for a large group to stay and Callie is so knowledgeable about the island and where you should make sure you go to. Thank you for a wonderful week!!!

The owner and Richie, were most helpful. There are sheets in the picture album you should read at check-in. We did not find them until close to the end of our trip which would have spared the owner/manager many of our texts. Still, they were very helpful and patient with us. We would definitely stay there again. It is comfortable and beautiful!

Where to start? Both Melonye and Callie were amazing hosts, super helpful with early check in, making arrangements for a golf cart, restaurant recommendations, etc.. their house was perfect for our big family. The front of the house overlooking the ocean has plenty of room for everyone, including those who wanted to be in the pool, those who wanted to sun, and those who wanted a shady spot to relax. All the bedrooms have a balcony or a door that leads out onto the patio, so everybody’s guaranteed a great view of the ocean.
The house was freshly painted and spotless when we got there, which made the germaphobes in our group very happy. The beds were all very comfortable, nice and firm. The master bedroom ensuite is roomy. The pool was big, maybe 40 feet long, and almost 5 feet deep, so it was better than what you will find at most other private pools at other houses on the island. We liked hanging out at the edge of the pool, looking at the ocean and people watching as scooters and golf carts drove by.
We also liked the location of the house. There are several good restaurants within walking distance, and the grocery store is maybe a mile away. Being on the south side of the island means that it’s not as busy as if you were in town, so for us, it was nice and relaxing.
A cool thing about this house is that it was designed by an artist, and is inspired by the shape of a conch shell. The curved stairways are reminiscent of the inside spiral of a conch shell. If you are into design, you will appreciate the uniqueness and beauty of this house.

We loved this home! The location on the island was great for getting around to everything. Golf carts are the way to go. Close to the grocery store, and Melonye was wonderful getting the fridge stocked for us before our arrival. We were able to fit in activities for all ages, but still have a quiet home to come back to. And our kids loved the pool! the only issue I had was there was no washer/dryer, but there is laundry service! Would definitely stay again. Missing the island already!

We would highly recommend this property. The communication with the owners and property manager Richi were top notch. The property was clean and has everything that you need for your stay on Isla. Being in the middle of the Isla was a great choice for our group of 6 couples. This property offered the convenience of being together, but yet if you wanted some alone time you could do that as well. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you need. Bedrooms all had comfortable beds, a bathroom and all with a great view. Again, we all would love to come back!

Great location
The property was the perfect size for our group. 8 adults, 1 kid. It was located near the beach , not swimmabke but still a beautiful view and breeze. Rooms were good size and beds were comfortable. All the amenities you could think of were available for use. The property manager Ritchie and the owners were very responsive on any questions we had and provided great recommendations on the island. Would definitely stay again.

We had a group of 8 that stayed at Castillo Del Mar from Feb 8-18, 2022, and we couldn’t have asked for more thoughtful and accommodating hosts! Mel and Callie went above and beyond for us, from date changes, golf cart rental, food recommendations and anything else we could have wanted! The house was perfect for our group, and was in a great location! I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone! Thank you Mel and Callie, we will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful stay at Castillo Del Mar! Melonye was a great host, very accommodating and helpful! She had great recommendations for restaurants, beach clubs and helped us get reservations for them as well as boat excursions, massages, etc. Our house was fully stocked with groceries and beverages when we got there thanks to Melonye! Castillo Del Mar was the perfect home for our group of 6 adult couples, each bedroom having its own bathroom, great area outside to sit and relax, or lay by the pool. I (we) couldn’t have had a better time and highly recommend!

Awesome Stay!
My wife and I stayed at Castillo del Mar for a week in the middle of June. It was very comfortable and had anything we needed, from plastic straws to a band-aid. Those little touches/things really do help. The owner Melonye was very welcoming and communicative, and helped us with setting up an in-casa massage one afternoon. If there was anything needed, all we had to do was ask, and she would do what she could to help, including lending us some parkas for the rainy week we were there. The bed and couch were super comfortable, and the shower was awesome and super hot -- it did need a good long 5-7 mins for the hot water to come out, but knowing this ahead of time helped avoid confusion, it was a good shower, just on island time! There is a ton of room in this house, I would definitely recommend it for families or a small group. It was like a mini-resort with all the bedrooms and the pool.

Family Vacation in Paradise
My family and I just got back from a week in paradise and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for us, it fit all 10 of us perfectly. What was so great about this house was the location, it was perfectly located between the north and south side of the island and close to great restaurants. It was across the street from the ocean so the morning sunrises over the ocean were spectacular. Listening to the waves while in the pool were very relaxing. The other bonus to this property is every room had its own bathroom and balcony overlooking the ocean. And finally, the host was fabulous. She was there for everything we needed from answering questions before we arrived to grabbing golf carts for us to suggesting and even showings us the best places to go on the island. I highly recommend this house if you plan to visit Isla Mujeres. We plan to go back again and won’t think twice about staying in this house. Thanks Meloyne for such a great week.

Not text or email goes unanswered for more than 15 min.We were 2 families, with 6 late teen early 20s kids. We rented 3 golf carts for the week. Meloyne had them delivered to the house so they were there when we arrived. She also went shopping for us so we had some supplies when we got there. She made it super easy through Venmo. The house is 4 bedroom in the main house, and then you can add 2 separate rooms for a total of 6. We took them all so the kids could spread out and have their own space. The rooftop sitting area is great too. We spent a lot of time around the pool just enjoying the place. I would 100% go back to this house and would recommend it to anyone that needs this size of home.

A wonderful house. Everything we needed and more. The property manager was fun to work with and so helpful with everything not just the house. We had one maintenance issues that was taken care of immediately.

El Castillo Del Mar. Perfecto!
Just came back from a week on Isla Mujeres. Twelve adults and one 3 yr old in family vacation. Stayed at the Castillo Del Mar on the southern end of the island. Great villa. Easy to find. About 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle and noise of the downtown. Great view of the Caribbean from any of the six bedrooms. Kitchen has everything needed to eat in. Rikki (the property manager) is great to work with. She even arranged for a birthday cake to be waiting upon our arrival to celebrate my mother in law’s 90th birthday. Great stay for any age group. Minor problem with one of the bathroom toilets quickly fixed that day. Ample parking for the 3 golf carts we had rented to bop around the island. Temps had dipped down into the mid 70’s from the normal 80’s so pool was a little chilly. No hesitation about staying here again.

50th Birthday Bash
We had a very nice and relaxing time here. Was so comfortable having so much room to roam around in. Kitchen, pool and outside table became our morning and nightly gathering place. Thank you for a great space, quick attention to a few mishaps and super friendly staff.

Castillo Del Mar is Wonderful!
Our group of 12 had a lovely stay here over our 6 day vacation stay in early February. It was a perfect “home base” that everyone could come and go during the day, plenty of street parking, and very comfortable beds. The roof top was a great location for an evening ocean view. The patio and pool were perfect for relaxing.
All 2nd floor rooms have their own access from the outside, but also through the house. We would definitely stay here with a large group again!
Our group hired Entre Sabores for a dinner hosted at the house. We cannot say enough good things about them and the food was insanely good!
