This motel is fantastic, we found the room was very very clean, spacious, the bed was sooo comfortable (best sleep I have had in a motel) and the shower was heaven. We also appreciated the tour done by the owner of how things all worked in the unit.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was extra spacious. The bedrooms were massive and the apartment has everything you need. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, full sized fridge and dishwasher. Whilst there isn’t an oven (which you don’t usually have anyway) there was a good microwave/oven and also a electric frypan between this and the stovetop it is ample to cook a full breakfast etc . The bathroom was large with a large spa bath, my kids had a spa every evening. The vanity area is separate which was good. The lounge area includes a dinning area plus a desk. The beds were firm but comfortable with electric blankets (we didn’t need those) . Couldn’t fault the apartment. The Managers were superb and Malcolm gave you a full tour of the apartment and also the laundry . Very friendly and helpful, we also received a comprehensive menus for local restaurants and a map of Whakatane. The Apartment is a short 5 minute walk to a local Countdown Supermarket, local swimming pool, you could walk to town which would be less than 10 minutes.
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like , only thing was my teenage Children would have liked a TV in their room (but that is a first world problem lol)
